Sith Infiltrator is high because it's about 700 pieces for $99.99 but with the Command Shuttle you're getting 1004 pieces for $119.99 so it's not quite as bad for the price. That's 300 more pieces for $20 essentially. Cheaper would be better of course and Shuttle Tydirium was $109.99 for about 1000 pieces as well. So in reality Kylo's command Shuttle is only $10 more than Tydirium which can be factored by the new molds. Edit: Actually Shuttle Tydrium is $99.99 so Kylo Command Shuttle is $20 more but you're getting new molds and 2 additional minifigs in addition to 27 additional pieces. Still not as bad as Sith Infiltrator which is $89.99 no new molds and only 660 pieces with only 4 minifigs.

I'm impressed by these sets and love the color choices which very rich and gritty at the same time. The vehicles are all well designed and thought out with plenty of greebling, features, and plating. Kylo command shuttle looks much improved from the small pic we saw like others said the retracted wings look better. Some flaws include the wings on the T-70 Xwing and the Transporter oversized cabin tower. But I can see the logic behind these changes. Minifigs are for the most part great as well with Rey being standout among them with the small face details like freckles and expression. Captain Phasma is also really good aside from small inaccuracy with helmet and not chrome but again reasonable choices. I would have preferred the Resistance Trooper was the he same helmeted one from Hasbro but that's ok. Hux, Finn, and many of the FO troopers are great as well but Kylo is probably the most disappointing of the wave sadly. From the hoodless Helmet mold to the awkwardly compromised design of the lightsaber it's very hard to appreciate. This may change with the hood option but the lightsaber should have had a new hilt if the lightsaber blade was to be made limited to the old Lego saber. I am starting to appreciate the limits of the design due to stability issues but I am still on the fence. Also the prices aren't high technically it's due to the piece count and size of the majority of the sets. If you calculate the price per piece count only the Elite Tie Fighter sits at 13 cents per piece, the other sets range from 9-11 cents which is normal based on Lego prices and sets. 75099 Rey's Speeder - 193 pieces - £19.99, €29.99, $19.99 .10/piece 75100 First Order Snowspeeder - 444 pieces - £39.99, €54.99, $39.99 .09/piece 75101 First Order Special Forces TIE Fighter - 517 pieces - £59.99, €76.99, $69.99 .13/piece 75102 Poe's X-wing Starfighter - 717 pieces - £69.99, €99.99, $79.99 .11/piece 75103 First Order Transporter - 792 pieces - £79.99, €114.99, $89.99 .11/piece 75104 Kylo Ren's Command Shuttle - 1004 pieces - £99.99, €129.99, $119.99 .12/piece 75105 Millennium Falcon - 1332 pieces - £129.99, €164.99, $149.99 .11/piece

I'm glad you enjoy the controversial constraction figures, someone needs to buy them. I politely disagree with your veiled attempts to undermine the new trilogy. Like or not it's part of the new canon going forward and has been legitimized through the the collaborative efforts of Kasdan who is not by any means a SW fan fiction writer. You must be a fan of the now defunct Expanded Universe to have such disdain for Kylo Ren and TFA. I feel sorry for people that harbor these sentiments and hope they enjoy what is left of the SW world they consider authentic or canon.

Thankfully the wait is almost over for the set reveals. Even if D23 doesn't take the opportunity to showcase them (suspect they wont) at least there's Force Friday around the corner at the beginning of Septemeber. Disney and Lucasfilm must know what they are doing because they are driving up demand so high and we are all desperately reaching for scraps of info. It's all so calculated and surprisingly effective lol.

Wait why does this list differ from the first one posted? Are we still getting Obi wan Jedi interceptor and TFA pirate transport sets in addition to this list? The first list didn't have hall of mirrors or anakin podracer. Interesting.....

FO Snowspeeder won't be the exact same as the ESB Snowspeeder used by the Rebel Alliance on Hoth. No one has seen the design but it will be featured on the snow planet in the end of the movie where Starkiller base is located. On a snow world like Hoth but more temperate and tundra than just desolate snow world.

Re the tfa sets because they mostly matter: I see the following as possibilities. Battle of Takodana is likely the place where Maz castle stands and where the FO attacks. Maz uses her "special powers" here and many of her pirate crew are here. We could see some FO stormtroopers or the variant heavy troopers along with Maz and maybe even Leia since she may be involved in the skirmish if resistance soldiers show up as a battalion to escort her. If we don't see the Red guy with cool helmet I would like to see him in the pirate transport set. For pirate transport it could be the freighter or part of that sequence or a transport Maz could use to escape the FO battle. But I think more likely the pirate transport will feature the mods and rockers gang rivalry that chewie and Han and Finn and Rey get caught up in. I definitely do not want rehashes of Tasu Leech or the Kanjiklub characters.

What about an Endor themed BP with Biker Scouts and Stormtroopers? Likewise I could see an Endor Rebel strike team BP.

I certainly hope Lego reveals the sets at least two weeks to release. Would be crazy to think we won't know what the sets look like officially until day of release. I just don't see that happening. We just have to be patient for more leaks or worst case scenario official info later on. Wonder why the Mexico leaks have stopped. Could Kylo Ren and General Hux be Chinese made minifigs due to having arm printing? Would explain why they haven't leaked yet since Chinese factories would be harder to infiltrate than Mexican ones I would believe.
-
Sure would be nice but since release is September 4th and there's only one huge shipment of merchandise I'm not sure if it's worth waiting for October VIP double points. It's definitely something to think about.

Sadly we may not even get FO stormtroopers that easily. The first wave only has 2 Stormtroopers in one set the FO Transport set. So we will get plenty of specialty troops and not nearly enough of the plain stormtroopers.
-
Yes the Lego sets will be released on Force Friday along with other TFA merchandise. The designs won't change much as confirmed by the leaked Rey matching the same minifig on the Falcon box art.

Geobrush I'm dying for some Kylo Ren. Have you seen what he looks like in Lego yet? Any idea when you may get to?

Armored Thranduil requires no new molds. Can use Elrond hair with galadriel color silver circlet and blonde hair. Add me to list of those few lamenting the absence of Armored Lego Elves. Trailer looks great, lots of character driven moments. Last movie has so much potential but knew that based on the events in the third act.

Nice MOC but Arwen being of Elrond's offspring was peredhil or half Elven. She chose mortality like Elros thousands of years at the beginning of the Second Age. Arwen never reached Valinor, she faded and died in a deserted Lothlorien, the realm of her grandmother Galadriel.

Lego really dropped the ball with BoFA accuracy. Even Legolas wears a cloak and carries Orcrist. However in the BoFA set he is not in correct attire, lacks a cloak and they gave him a simple bow, at least he could carry an existing lego sword. Now Azog wears armor and lego couldn't be bothered to give either a new print (other than face printing change). And we all know the lack of the major players represented in BoFA. Mirkwood Elf Soldiers, King Thranduil, the Iron Hill Warriors and the armored Dol Guldur Orcs. Im so glad the line is ending when we see such half hearted attempts to do the license proper justice. Though I do admit Erebor and WKB and even Lake Town Chase are great. It's Bofa set that is utterly disappointing and more so seeing more details revealed which would have been great to see in lego.

More like 2000 Elves as they are described as a vast array and a host. The teaser trailer also demonstrates a large number of Elves in formation in battle, certainly more than the 200 at Helms Deep in film verse. For accuracy this model is top notch and looks great. As a microfighter it doesn't capture the same stylized proportions but is more of a downscaled ATAT. Not to say that this is a negative, it simply doesn't match the existing Microfighter collection.

Marvel Superheroes 2015 Rumors & Discussion
Mahtion replied to CorneliusMurdock's topic in LEGO Licensed
Hatred leads to poor follicles. Poor hair growth leads to Sith patterned baldness. Sith baldness leads to the Dark side of hair restoration. :P -
Thanks! I will probably just head to Clearwater since it's there. Hope it's still out on shelves when I check after work today.

Lots of cool details and fun play features. Love the amount of story the set conveys in just so small number of bricks. Can't wait to see more!

Wow haven't seen that Boba Fett set! Those were weird but imaginative with Luke and Han heavy weaponized armor. Great job recreating this in Lego form. Do the others next. ;)
-
Actually Lego did not mess up judging by the show's screen caps and videos which show the exact helmet design with new angles and the bluer marks. A simple search demonstrates these differences which were accurately recreated in lego's version of the Rebels Stormtrooper.

Thanks for review! This will be a day one purchase for certain. Went to TRU in Tampa, FL and no new Hobbit sets. Not surprised since they don't have new sets even after the release date for SW or Hobbit. I have only one minor issue with Elrond. His leg printing seems under detailed compared to his torso and his Prologue polybag version. According to source material, he should have some skirt detailing which is absent and the chainmail portion doesn't look shiny like metal should.
