  1. That's true! I found Droid Escape for cheap at a small Toysrus express in the mall along with some other older sets. Sadly no TIE fighter though. New question though if I buy keychain figs that have had the keychain already removed, how limited are the leg joints? I read that the legs are stuck to the torso, would I still be able to position the legs?
  2. All of the TIE fighters are expensive and retired. I missed out on 9492 when it was $49.99 and now it's around $70-$80 on eBay or bricklink. I also want the Sith Fury and Vaders TIE Advance which are little better priced. Has anyone tried bricklinking 9492 because of the outrageous price? Would it be any cheaper building it by getting the pieces from bricklink? Or is there a high chance of new TIE fighters coming in a new wave? That may be quite some time. Thanks!
  3. I wish Kevin could confirm which minifigs we get somehow in Erebor set.
  4. Where did you see reviews for the Jedi Scout ship and Ghost?
  5. I can't tell the exclusive minfig. Is it supposed to a dark Yoda or a new variant of Sith Anakin?
  6. I like the TIE design but I don't like it being the personal ship of the Inquisitor in Rebels. It's like giving an X-wing to Ezra to pilot.
  7. Elven Battlepack for the chance to get new Elven helmets and possibly some other new molds! It would be a great army builder and hopefully comes with an Elven banner to display like those used at Dagorlad or Helms Deep. I would prefer 2nd Age Noldor with Gil-Galad!
  8. With the May the Fourth upon us Toysrus has just placed 3 sets on 30% off clearance. The Jedi Defender is $66.40 and Palpatine's Arrest is $76.3 and Z-95 Headhunter is $31. This means that Jedi Defender will be $10 cheaper at Toysrus but with no Revan. The question is will Revan be worth it to spend approx $10 extra on the Defender Class?
  9. The only problem with Rebels I can foresee is that it is trying too hard to capture the look and feel of the OT. If it fixates on emulation and homage over creativity and originality it risks being artistically stifled and a reduced product. The TIE Inquisitor advanced is just too much IMO and seems uninspired and boring.
  10. I have been watching Bob's Burgers to fill in the void of Star Wars shows.
  11. Yes you are totally correct! It's nice to see that Lego was looking at relatively obscure EU starships for inspiration. I was just saying that because the build isn't stable and most reviews have been below average or mediocre. Do you see Lego's inspiration for the Jedi Scout ship? ;)
  12. Star Wars Lego is heading towards Rebels, OT sets and next year probably Ep7 material. I watched all of Clone Wars on Netflix and it has really surprised me in it's execution, quality and narratives. Sad to see it end but Dave Filoni and the much of the creative talent behind Clone Wars are working on Rebels.
  13. I don't think anyone preferred the old Jek-14 fighter, that was one of the worst starfighter designs ever made. The new one is a complete 180, looks solid and well designed. Has a great color scheme as noted and comes with an even better selection of minifigs, not just recolored clones.
  14. My favorites so far are Luke Ewok village, Darth Sidious (RotS shuttle), Captain Rex, Pong Krell (torso and leg printing). Bossk, and A-Wing Pilot. Least favorites are Saesee Tiin (Clone wars), Hondo, old Ahsoka Tano, Ewoks, and the Royal Guards.
  15. Wow looking at that vid, the Elven sentry looks very complete and detailed. His torso printing even has back printing. Now it makes me wonder if Lego will use these guys in place of the Mirkwood Soldier in wave 3.
  16. I actually think CoE is my third favorite LOTR set due to the color and design. Sure it's small but it perfectly captures the feel of the Council. Definitely not accurate but it is minimalist in scope and yet is immediately iconic and recognizable.
  17. Jedi defender class cruiser is the set I will get for the Revan polybag. Just have to wait a little longer!
  18. Wonder if Lego will give Elrond the elven warrior sword from his polybag or the standard long sword that Thranduil has in MEA.
  19. Wait, what cut X-wing lady? Never heard of this!
  20. I suggested that brick forge make an orcrist in their message board. I don't think they listened but I hope someone makes one. The closest I found to orcrist was the falcata or kukri knives.
  21. Yes, that was my biggest dissapointment with Hobbit Legos. Orcrist was such a great and unique sword mold. More mistakes lego used with this theme, it's just wasted potential like missing Gondor in LOTR or a Balrog or Witchking.
  22. Exactly Disney is about brand quality and integrity. They will keep anything that works and ditch whatever conflicts with established canon. It will be interesting to see how much of the post ROTJ era they will keep for ep7 going forward.
  23. ^^ yeah Galadriel doesn't need Beorn to save Gandalf!
  24. I hope Lego will not put legolas anywhere in wave 3. His clothes are barely different than LOTR, Lego would just reuse or update the print. Much rather have armored Thranduil who will do a lot of fighting and will be memorable. We just got legolas in a movie combo pack with a useless polybag. No more legolas!
  25. Maybe you could post links to each discussion or source that mentions each set possibility you listed? I would like to see which are more likely based on the information surrounding them. Also the UCS sets are different from store exclusives right?
