Has anyone confirmed the actual release date to purchase these items direct from Lego, is it still March 2013? Was there an update to the remote that came with the 9398? The reason I ask, 1. I'm not buying another 9398, 2. I didn't want to pay overseas shipping costs.

Lego Technic 2h 2013
750ACE replied to sama's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Please build us a moc worth purchasing. It looks like lego is doing well this round for the global market. Not every set can be perfect or meet all requested demands. That is why it is good to modify sets to your own taste. What did you think lego was going to produce or release?- 902 replies

I am surprised more people are not talking about this on EB! Why is this not featured on the first page of EB? Who thinks it will sell for more or less than the Black Vampire GT charity auction?

Here is my V6 Mod. No alteration to the appearance of the body. Same exact stud length and width. Fenders are still attached securely, nothing lose. -

$25usd a pair is cheap. Look how much sellers are selling the 94.8x44r balloon tires or Power Puller tires for.

You know what I found which was good?? I like how the digital instructions (pdf) help find where you need to find your piece when jumping from one page to the next back to the previous. Designer han or crowkillers for example, more complex building but with a quick jump back and forth in the pdf you can find where that part goes. Lego instructions on the other hand, as I said way to many steps and colors. I am curious how the new crane flagship instructions will be, 5 books like the unimog?

Combining parts from multiple sets
750ACE replied to mobi's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Why don't you sort the parts by element or part number? When it comes time to sell the set just build it and compare it to the part list. Sorting by set doesn't make much sense. I used to have somewhat the same issue. I like collecting and displaying the technic sets. One day I said forget it I'm taking it all apart except for a few favorites. I sort everything with akro-mils organizers. By the way as stated above rebrickable.com is a great site. -
Worst Technic Sets of all Time
750ACE replied to Rishab N's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Funny. -
The subject is pretty self-explanatory. I searched and didn't fine much that actually compared the components of both models. I understand both use the buggy motors and the 8366 has an aux. power outlet. What I wanted to know: - What are the differences between both battery packs? - What are the reasons for the aux. power outlet? - Do both offer 3 RF channels? - Is the steering adapter necessary? I have seen a few mocs that didn't use it and the steering was horrible. - I also seen mocs incorporate PF motors to these battery packs, does that mean you can control PF motors through the RF signals? As you may have already learned I am not too happy with IR or Bluetooth. I enjoy RC but I enjoy building more. I understand plastic can only withstand so much stress but that doesn't mean the plastic parts shouldn't be able to handle any more speed than a snails pace. I just wish both worlds could come together.

Worst Technic Sets of all Time
750ACE replied to Rishab N's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
You must not be looking close to the value of the part assortment vs. price point. Picked up two off ebay under $30. Gears, liftarms, panels... great for mocs. But yes very unappealing. -
How much do you spend on Technic?
750ACE replied to mobi's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
I second that. I have the same problem.... and yet to create my own post to show eb forum members my mocs. -
Which MOC should I build?
750ACE replied to Rishab N's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Did you purchase the instructions from the crowkillers site? They will show what parts the spoiler uses. What do you mean by filling your bricklink shopping carts since it will be a while before you can purchase parts? You could add the parts list to your wanted items list. -
9398x8

Interesting the 9398 was built pretty good to not allow gears to slip. What gears are slipping for you?
