  1. I meant three spinners that we have not seen pictures of yet. Bluebeard, out-
  2. Interesting... It would seem that there are at least four sets (three of which are spinners) that we haven't seen yet. Man, I can't wait for Toy Fair! Bluebeard, out-
  3. Is anyone else really excited about the Little Red Riding Hood? Finally, with that cloak and hood, I'll be able to make Mumm-Ra in LEGO form! Bluebeard, out-
  4. Occupation: Komuso (Japanese begging monk). Gender: Male. Print on torso: Plain black kimono with wooden box hanging from the neck with Japanese characters on it. Type of headgear: Cylindrical straw basket with numerous vertical slits on the front. Type of facial expression: Peaceful expression. Color on torso/legs: Black. Accessory: Shakuhachi flute and a patterned cloth sash (neck accessory, similar to Stormtroopers' pauldron). Real-life reference Bluebeard, out-
  5. Ordered 9445 Fangpyre Truck Ambush, 9564 Snappa & 9579 Starter Set from S@H. As this amounted to over £50 (£59.42 w/ VIP discount), I'll be getting the Kendo Jay booster pack with that awesome-looking spinner crown. Shame you can't really use it yet, since Jay doesn't get a spinner until the summer wave. Bluebeard, out-
  6. Nothing major, but thought I'd point this out: On the UK S@H Themes page (and the other EU pages), the Ninjago link has been updated to match the 2012 wave. Unfortunately, no new sets are available, but perhaps they will be sooner than previously thought(?) Bluebeard, out-
  7. I've got a question about the LEGO S@H free shipping offer: Let's say I put £50 worth of LEGO in my basket, which is the minimum I need to spend in order to qualify for free shipping. However, if I use 100 VIP points to bring the cost down to £45, does that mean the shipping costs are added back on? Bluebeard, out-
  8. Just ordered 2260 Ice Dragon Attack from Amazon. This'll probably be the last "proper" Ninjago purchase I make before next year. Although, having said that, it would be cool to have all four dragons... Bluebeard, out-
  9. Bought 2521 Lightning Dragon Battle & 2259 Skull Motorcycle. Bluebeard, out-
  10. Does anyone know if TRU are gonna be doing the 20% offer again this weekend? Bluebeard, out-
  11. Just thought I'd thrown in my 2 pennies on the prelims: 9440 Venomari Shrine: Looks like a good parts pack (the new green snakes, the little brick wall pieces and snake staff). I'll probably end up buying at least one of these. 9441 Kai's Motorcycle: Putting my hatred for the ninja's vehicles in general aside, I think it looks a bit too big in comparison to Kai. Perhaps they should've downscaled it and instead used the pieces for a small temple/vehicle for snakeman. 9442 Jay's Jetplane: Probably my favourite (or rather, least hated) out of the ninja vehicles. It has an ever-so-slight Ice Planet 2002 feel to it, especially with (what appears to be) skis on the bottom. There's one thing that bugs me though; there seems to be another minifig in the set, but I can't make it out because of the flash. 9443 Snakecopter: Looks cool. I like the flick-fire snake feature. 9444 Cole's Jeep/Tank Thing: My absolute least favourite of wave 1 so far. It looks as if someone took a rejected Batmobile set and combined it with Exo-Force. 9445 Snake 4x4: Now this is more like it! I absolutely adore the overall design of the jeep, as well as the 2-headed snake minifig in the background. More than likely a day one purchase for me. 9446 Ninja Airship: Hmm...Not sure what to make of this. Sure, it looks great, but nothing really special drawing me to it either. Of course, this is just a prelim, so it might change, if not only a little bit. Spinners: Hoo boy! The new armour for the ninjas is just so cool, especially Nya's (?)! Very useful for making feudal Japan MOCs! I don't really care for the snakemen spinners, though. As for the spinners themselves, I like how TLG have now added a "battle disc". As if this theme needed anymore glaring similarities to Beyblade! Bluebeard, out-
  12. While not necessarily a TV appearance, I think this is definitely worth mentioning here: In a recent One Piece colourspread, the Strawhat pirates are playing with LEGO bricks, as shown below. BEST. CROSSOVER. EVER. PERIOD. Bluebeard, out-
  13. Bought the Ninjago "The Chosen Four" book (w/ free Jay minifig) on an impulse from Amazon.co.uk for £3.49. Bluebeard, out-
  14. Bought 7985 City of Atlantis off Amazon, which had been reduced from £50 to £28. However, because I also had my £15 voucher from LOVEFiLM, it meant I only spent £13! Bluebeard, out-
  15. I think you've misunderstood me; I wasn't saying that Ninjago pinched all of it's ideas from Japanese mythology (however, now that you mention it, there just so happens to be a creature from Japanese folklore called a Gashadokuro, which is, in fact, a giant skeleton). No, I was merely saying that the idea of "snakemen" in a Japanese setting is not completely misplaced. Bluebeard, out-
  16. I'd have to disagree there; snakes feature just as prominently in Japanese mythology as they do in Egyptian mythology. The most notable example is the Yamata no Orochi, the eight headed serpent who fought against (and was ultimately slain by) the warrior Susano-o. Bluebeard, out-
  17. Play.com is having a bank holiday sale. In terms of LEGO, it's not something go crazy over, but you can get 4193 London Escape for only £35, which is pretty good. LINK EDIT: On Amazon, 7985 City of Atlantis has been reduced yet again, this time to match Argos' price of £27.99. Of course, you get free delivery with Amazon, so their offer is far greater. *sigh* Unfortunately for me, I have no money to take advantage of this offer and, knowing Amazon, this offer will probably be gone tomorrow. 18. When I first came to these forums, I was into LEGO Pirates, so, naturally, I needed a piratey alias to match. After a few minutes brainstorming names, I decided on "Capt. Bluebeard". Now, 3 years later, while I'm not all that into pirates anymore, I'm still quite fond of my EB alias and I use it for eBay and Bricklink too. Bluebeard, out-
  19. This should really go here. If I were you, I'd go with Space Police. Trust me; I missed out on Space Police and am now kicking myself for having done so. Bluebeard, out-
  20. I am half Indian and half British. I look more British than I do Indian, though. Bluebeard, out-
  21. The first LEGO set I remember getting was 6829 Radon Rover. I absolutely loved it, although, in hindsight, I kinda wish my parents had got me some Fright Knights instead. Unfortunately, I've lost many of the pieces, including the robot minifig. Bluebeard, out-
  22. Yes, I still have them, but I'm not giving them away for free 'cause I misunderstood the thread rules when I first posted. See my new thread for more info. Bluebeard, out-
  23. Hey guys! I have an Egyptian LEGO Lot for sale, which consists of pieces from 5978 & 5988. However, they are both incomplete and, therefore, you should treat this as a mixed lot; simply an addition to one's LEGO collection. The weight of the lot is roughly 1.4kg. All pieces are in excellent & clean condition. The price I ask for is £35.00 + £6.00 p&p. Payment must be through Paypal. Pictures: Whole lot Special pieces Walls, BURPS & LURPS, palm tree Tan, dark grey & light grey pieces Baseplates Examine the pictures carefully, as what you see is what is you get, nothing more, nothing less. ____________________________________________________________________________________ As well as that, I also have these: Headdresses & wings still in factory-sealed bags. For these two, I'll accept £7.00 + £1.50 p&p or a trade for any 2 Ninjago minifigs. Oh, and before I forget; This and the Egyptian lot are only open to EB members based in the UK. PM me for more info. Bluebeard, out-
  24. Hey guys! So I've recently received a £15 Amazon Voucher and I have every intention spending it on LEGO, but I'm not sure what I should do. The way I see it, I have three options: 1) Spend it now. These are the sets I'd buy if going with this option: * 6918 Blacksmith Attack + 2516 Ninja Training Outpost (x2) or * 2508 Blacksmith's Shop 2) Save it up for a larger set. Like 2509 Earth Dragon Defense or 2507 Skull Truck. 3) Save it for next year's sets. The only problem with this option is that I'm not sure what next year's sets will be like, and what I've heard so far about next year doesn't really float my boat. Bluebeard, out-
  25. Good job! The forest looks even more fantastic this time, and so do the blood effects. Also, kudos on changing the vagabond's head. He looks very much like a washed-up old samurai. Bluebeard, out-
