  1. Wait...so this sneak peek doesn't mean anything? I'm confused... Bluebeard, out-
  2. As I've just received a LEGO Store voucher in the post, I'm planning to head up to Sheffield in October to go the LEGO Store there. Just so I don't go mad with spending, I'm planning out what I buy, and I was just wondering: how much does the Build-A-Mini cost? I saw "£3.50" and "£4.99" at the beginning of the thread, but the cost could easily have changed or vary by store, so I thought I'd ask. Bluebeard, out-
  3. As a huge fan of Okami, I cannot even begin to tell you how much I adore this thing. The flame-like aesthetic of the tails, the usage of the S6 Space Girl's torso for the eyes, the way you've used pink elements without it ending up looking gaudy or excessive; everything is simply beautiful. In fact, I almost feel ashamed to be in it's presence, and I'm only looking at a computer screen! Bluebeard, out-
  4. Just to clarify, I bought Vampyre Castle (well, actually it was a birthday present) with full knowledge of the Haunted House, and I don't love it any less than I would've done if the Haunted House did not exist. Personally, I prefer the Gothic style of the Vampyre Castle over the style (I'm not sure what you'd call that style...) that the Haunted House has. To be honest, I'm not too bothered about getting the Haunted House in a hurry; if I don't get it in October, I'll probably end up getting it for Christmas. Bluebeard, out-
  5. Agreed. I'd much rather have the coffin car or, even better, the ghost as a promotional freebie. Oh well, at least this set has a few somewhat useful pieces, like the SNOT plates and the vertical clip bricks. Bluebeard, out-
  6. If there is no free shipping, I may get my dad to buy the Haunted House (with my money of course) at the newly opened Sheffield store, as he is about to start a job there. Bluebeard, out-
  7. Well, I wasn't going to get this set at first, as I was perfectly content with the Vampyre Castle. However, now, as I've got some money to burn, I may just do so. I'll probably wait 'til double VIP points though. One detail I find amusing about the Haunted House is that there is a portrait of Lord Vampyre in it. I thought vampires were unable to be painted. 8. @Krulis: I bet they're gonna be really rare though. Hope not, 'cause I wanna to stock up on some ol'-school skellies. Bluebeard, out-
  9. Watched Brave the other day with my sister. Quite funny and, as should be expected from Pixar, beautifully animated. I'm not sure if I like it more than Up or The Incredibles though. I'd have to watch it again to be sure. Bluebeard, out-
  10. Interesting (and very addictive) idea! I've uploaded a minifig too, just for fun. EDIT: Just realised that the pictures have to be exactly 300x300 Have sorted it out now of course, and have even added some new ones too! Bluebeard, out-
  11. @Oky: I'd say the Bite Cycle, definitely. The pieces in that set just seem more useful than those in the Brickmaster, especially those SNOT bricks. Bluebeard, out-

  13. @bkctsang: O.O Great Scott... I haven't really been paying attention to Ninjago as of late, but you can bet I'll be keeping an eye on it now! Anyone know when that book comes out? Bluebeard, out-
  14. Probably anime boxsets, manga volumes, and perhaps some Mojibakeru. Oh, and video games! Bluebeard, out-
  15. I chose the Lederhosen Guy, with the Diver a close second. I just love Robin Hood hats! Bluebeard, out-
  16. Hmmm...That's a tough one. If I were limited to the more recent ones, I'd say 9468 Vampyre Castle. On the flip-side, if I had to choose one of the more classic sets, I'd say 6973 Deep Freeze Defender or perhaps 6086 Black Knight's Castle (although I'd have to own it to be sure). Bluebeard, out-
  17. I say LEGO. To me, saying "LEGOs" is like saying "sheeps" or "fishes"; it just sounds wrong. Bluebeard, out-
  18. Nicely put together, and great photography to boot! I like how you have positioned the minifigs, especially Frank and the vampire. Great usage of the light brick too. Bluebeard, out-
  19. I'd rather have the coffin car as a promo. It has less pieces, but it looks spookier than the current promo and it's very reminiscent of the cars from LEGO Racers. Bluebeard, out-
  20. I got 'round do building this set today. I wasn't planning on buying any of this line, as I have little interest in LOTR. However, one day, during one of my idle Brickset browsing sessions, I got the idea of converting this set into a Monster Fighters display to go with my Vampyre Castle. The result is quite spectacular; I've got the Vampyre Castle on top, with the mines below it, so as to make look like it is underground. In the mines, I've got Frank Rock & Ann Lee sheltering behind the well and grave respectively as they prepare to fight the troll. The minifigures are great, but since I've had bad experiences with removing minifig hands in the past, and I can't stand fleshies, I'm selling them. One of the main strengths of this set, I think, is the range of displayability; it isn't limited by it being in a certain shape, so you can move the parts around to suit the sort of display you want. All in all, an excellent set with some great parts. Even if you don't particularly like LOTR, like myself, there's something for everyone. Bluebeard, out-
  21. Hello! To make room for future purchases, I'm getting rid of some old sets (the LOTR figs are there 'cause I hate fleshies ). Stall rules: * Payments are to be made only via Paypal. NO EXCEPTIONS! * Buyer pays for postage. * I now ship anywhere, but keep in mind the shipping expenses. * Postage will be calculated via Royal Mail's Price Finder after you have PM'd me what you wish to buy. 22. I got this set today as a birthday present, along with 9468 Vampyre Castle. The werewolf minifig is very cool, although I'm not sure which I prefer; this one or the CMF version... The car is just smashing! The silver frog is very classy and, overall, it's very reminiscent of the Adventurers vehicles, specifically the Desert subtheme. The seating area does seem a little cramped though. The catapult mechanism works quite well. One thing I did notice is that you have put the werewolf's arms at certain height or the mechanism will jam. All in all, a great set and probably second to best out of the MF range. Bluebeard, out-
  23. For those that are considering buying 9466, ya might wanna look at this... Bluebeard, out-
  24. That's tomorrow! Oh please, let that be true! It's my birthday in 2 weeks and I plan on going on a LEGO spending spree. Bluebeard, out-
  25. I used to think that, but now I'm actually kinda glad that it isn't enclosed; it gives the castle more playability. I imagine that if it were enclosed, the area it'd make would be too small to do anything in and you'd have to keep detaching the walls to play with it, which would be kinda awkward. Bluebeard, out-
