Won this just now on eBay: Once this arrives in the post, I'll only need 2 more sets to complete the Ice Planet 2002 theme; the Celestial Sled, and the Ice Station Odyssey. Bluebeard, out-

My all-time favourite theme is...Ice Planet 2002! It has everything you want from a theme: great set design, an amazing colourscheme and the most badass Space minifigs ever. On top of that, it has the one thing that no other theme has...save for RoboForce...and Time Cruisers...and I guess there's that one guy who uses in construction work... Oh alright; it's not completely exclusive to Ice Planet 2002, but goshdarnit, it's friggin' awesome! Ladies and gentleman, give it up for the trans. orange chainsaw: Bluebeard, out-

Oh... I don't suppose there's a generic trade thread where I can post this sort of stuff? Bluebeard, out- -

EDIT: See "Capt. Bluebeard's 1.4KG Egyptian LEGO Lot" thread. Bluebeard, out- -
...That really is a shame, as this theme is what hooked me back into LEGO, after having a 3-year-long Dark Age, and I was looking forward to seeing what direction they'd take it next. Bluebeard, out-

Nice! I'd definitely go for the Wolfpack one! Any chance of a Fright Knights one? Bluebeard, out-

An Old Vagabond Ambushed By Ninjas MOC
Capt. Bluebeard replied to Captain BeerBeard's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Nice! I love the way the ninja is partially hidden in the bamboo, in particular. One small criticism, however; the vagabond looks far too jolly. May I suggest a more serious face such as this? Bluebeard, out- -
Violent? Hardly (save for MK), compared to other games on the market. No, the real reason I feel these franchises will never see the light of day as LEGO is that, as fighting games that have no real focus on storyline or location, there is too little to work with; they could probably only make a couple fighting arenas...and that's about it. Besides, in terms of "minifigs", there are already similar products. Bluebeard, out-

Bought the two Pharaoh's Quest Sun/NotW promo sets off eBay for £4.80, as well as some parts off Bricklink that I require for my Spirit of Luis MOD. Bluebeard, out-

No worries, there is still hope: - Run LEGORacers.exe in compatibility mode for Windows 98/ME. - Run in 256 colours. - Run in 640x480 resolution. However, be warned! I have not tried this (as I do not have Windows 7) and the website on which I discovered this said that this method may cause the game to crash a lot. Bluebeard, out-

2011 NINJAGO sets
Capt. Bluebeard replied to Klaus-Dieter's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
While this is true, I feel that this is accurate enough. Bluebeard, out- -
You do not need Windows 95 to run LEGO Racers. To run it on Vista, follow these steps: Simply right click on the shortcut of the game and click 'Properties'. Then, in the target box, you should see where the shortcut takes you, e.g; "C:\Program Files\LEGO Media\Games\LEGO Racers\LEGORacers.exe". Then add " -novideo" without the quotation marks at the end, so it's something like this; "C:\Program Files\LEGO Media\Games\LEGO Racers\LEGORacers.exe" -novideo That'll cut out the start-up videos that stop the game from running. I have a feeling that this only works with the "Revival" version, but I dunno. Bluebeard, out-

Yeah, you get them in Spain too; me and my family found one (dead) once on the patio of the house we were staying at. Bluebeard, out-

I'd have to disagree with this; 2 Spongebob sets does not imply a strong working relationship. In fact, I'd say it heralds the end of the Spongebob line and probably any future lines with Nickelodeon. Of course, I could be wrong, but it just seems to me that TLG's deal with Nickelodeon has been a bit of a wasted effort. Bluebeard, out-

Ah yes, I remember this game. Many an hour was spent in the car builder, let alone the actual game. However, looking back on it now, it isn't really that great: Firstly, there is very little strategy or skill involved; all the tracks (save for Knight Mare-athon and Time Trials) can be won with this formula: Green Brick + 3(White Brick) + Shortcut = Victory! This, combined with the fact that the superior Mario Kart 64 and Crash Team Racing were out at around the same time, makes LEGO Racers look very bare bones in terms of gameplay. Secondly, there are only 3 circuits; the rest are mirrored. I think this is a real shame, as there were many themes left out that would have been perfect for a racing track (e.g. Western, Ninja, Divers, Town). I think it's about time for LEGO Racers 3. With the online capabilities of today's video game consoles and LEGO games selling like hotcakes, it'd be sure to be a hit. I imagine it'd be similar to ModNations on PS3. There could even be DLC packs, so you could use bricks from the original game. I've even come up with a couple of circuits: Circuit 1: Boss: Captain Brickbeard Track 1 - Space Police Speedway (Space Police III) Track 2 - Skullkin Grand Prix (Ninjago) Track 3 - Dr. Inferno's Volcano Raceway (Agents) Track 4 - Brickbeard's Shipwreck Pass (Pirates) Circuit 2: Boss: Jake Raines Track 1 - Underground Mine Marathon (Power Miners) Track 2 - Troll Mountain Trail (Fantasy Era Castle) Track 3 - LEGO City Street Dash (City) Track 4 - Amset-Ra's Ancient Alleyway (Pharaoh's Quest) Bluebeard, out-

Man, I haven't thought about this show since it ended... It's nice to see they're doing a spin-off and I like the whole "Asianified NYC" vibe going on in the trailer. Not sure if this has been mentioned already, but apparently they're planning to do a total of 26 episodes (source). That seems like a reasonable amount to me; it's the same amount of episodes that numerous one-shot anime series have (e.g. Cowboy Bebop, Samurai Champloo, Gurren Lagann). Bluebeard, out-

REVIEW: 7325 Cursed Cobra Statue
Capt. Bluebeard replied to Hinckley's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Sorry; allow me to elaborate: Everyone I know who has the set says that, despite the box art, Helena's hands are infact brown (gloves), and yet my Helena has yellow hands, which has me confused over which is supposed to be the right pair of hands. I dunno...Maybe the brown hands were simply an early batch mishap... Bluebeard, out- -
REVIEW: 7325 Cursed Cobra Statue
Capt. Bluebeard replied to Hinckley's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Got this set today and absolutely love it! The jeep is very reminiscent of the one included in 5978 Sphinx Secret Surprise. And to top it all off, I got it at a discounted price of £17.99 from Play.com! However, there was something odd about my Helena minifig (in other words, her hands): I'm confused... Bluebeard, out- -
That'd be awesome, especially if they did it in the style of Ice Planet 2002. Bluebeard, out-
