DeathStar&CarbonChambor DK LSW The Visual Dictionary
TWP replied to markus1984's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I'm sorry if I've insulted you in any form, but I have never meant to compare anything, it was more meant like a joke. When I look at it again it seems I had not really paid enough attention on the way I formed the post, what made the post a little bit vague and possible to interpret it different. I have tried to make the post more clear. I hope this stresses the irony/joke fact a bit more. If it's not any better, contact me. I hope you understand it. As with all my posts, though I often think the way I compose a post thoroughly, it will always be subject to different interpretations. Please keep in mind I will never post something with the intention to harass anyone. If any of my posts trouble anyone, they could contact me so I can explain the reason of a certain word and edit the post in order to make them any clearer. -
DeathStar&CarbonChambor DK LSW The Visual Dictionary
TWP replied to markus1984's topic in LEGO Star Wars
[ ] That's a great unique honor! We might now conclude that you are the best Star Wars MOCcer to date Congrats BTW (or did I already do that on Flickr? Or was that for your wedding? I can't keep track ) -
Thanks Dapper! No problem, better late then never! And as a revenge I will reply even later! Thanks! It means a lot hearing that from you. Those tiles are indeed from the Malevolence. I noticed I had not many black tiles and when I saw that ship that cost me €100 and I had not really used ever I thought I might as well grab those! It's actually a nice set for dark blue too. About that last paragraph, that was mainly the reason. As I said in the secret rebel PM conversation I did try something but it did not make it very better. In fact there is actually one small change between this and the one I posted there. Hard to see though... What I seemed while building this MOC I really got JUST enough of every piece I needed! Very lucky I got with that. So I did not have to make my first scary BL order after all!

SoNE Contest Episode IV: Secrets of the Empire
TWP replied to Nom Carver's topic in Nar Eurbrikka Archive
Thanks for hosting the episode Nom! I'm happy that I won over Beaver, and I got many points too! I think I will participate next episode too, not sure yet but if I do, I will incorporate the good advice I got in my next build! I wonder why the player index has not been updated yet, I REALLY want to get out of the bottom of that list! -
That's great! tell your friend again that's it's great he's taking those pics and that we all greatly appreciate it! thanks to you for sharing them too! That ISD does really look small! It's a shame.

I really like that ship, and I hope you will make it great! I once made a starship inspired by that ship once too. As in the end it did not look like it, I've wanted to make a proper one ever since. From the looks of it, the canopy in the front looks very much out of proportion. You might want to change that to the one of the UCS Tie advanced or even a brickbuild version.

Shadows of Nar Eurbrikka — Introduction and Discussion
TWP replied to Brickdoctor's topic in Nar Eurbrikka Archive
I'm glad that you and Disco are finally participating in SoNE! (though only if you're in the right team) It's not completely correct though: 1. You have to say in which faction you would like to participate (rebels of course!) 2. You have to say which class you want to have - storm rebel trooper or pilot 3. there seems to be something wrong with your avatar - I've never seen a rebel with a stormtrooper torso Remember to choose the right faction, the Rebels of course! We've got cake! -
Those minifigs are great! Not sure what set they could be in though, as every combination does not make sense to me. The PK-4 droid was seen in a few shots aboard the Trade Federation Lucrehulk-class battle ship.
-
Cloud City and lando in rebels? That would be great! not sure what kind of lego set then will come on the shelfs, as in rebels other rooms are visited I guess... I would prefer a ESB version though. About Euro prices - many sources seem to tell an other price. I've found a full list on this (Dutch) site: http://www.speelgoednl.nl/lego-star-wars?p=12 . The numbers behind "adviesprijs" are probalbly retail euro pricing.

Darth Revan minifig (and other May the 4th promotions)
TWP replied to Debricker's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Well I must say the offers next to Revan were a lot better this year. In the Netherlands stock didn't run out of any set, and they had really many sets on sale! Not only a few UCS sets and sets everyone already has, also a selection of this year's sets was 15% off. -
Haha, you interpreted my post wrong, I meant to say Revan is TOR. I wrote it quite of vague, so it's understandable . I know the gunship is from CW, but thanks anyways!
-
For star wars day, I've bought the Coruscant Police Gunship. With 15% off €55,23, just enough to get the poster and revan! Not sure what to do with him though, as I don't collect TOR stuff.

Theed Hangar Battle in the new DK LSW The Visual Dictionary
TWP replied to ACPin's topic in LEGO Star Wars
It's definitely one of your greater builds. Best Theed hangar I've seen to date. Was this a surprise for you too, or did you knew it would be featured in the book? -
Great stuff! It looks awesome again! Are you "combining" it with Markus' build? I see the stargate.
-
This looks very fun! The design is atleast good It seems a bit impractical maybe, but well, if you've got two hobbies and can combine it this way, it's just great!
-
Well I think this looks worse. You had a quite good design, and I would have suggested the same changes as Beaver suggested, that would be better probalbly.
-
That Tie and MTT are no "official" rumors pr anything like that, it are someones predictions. That said, I think it's more logic to have those sets in a "normal" wave, not as D2C exclusives, as they will and have played a maior role in rebels and TPM respectively.
-
A great creation as always Markus! I really like it! It's good that you made your own AT-ST design, and I really like how you implemented almost every scene from the movie!
-
Hahaha! I suggest you do that, then, of course. Do not forger to build the tires in advance... Or else she would never come again

Post your general LEGO Star Wars questions here
TWP replied to XimenaPaulina's topic in LEGO Star Wars
A diorama is always nicer. It personalises things, as there are probalbly hundreds of people with a MF on display but not many with a tatooine diorama/MOC. Only letdown of a tatooine display is that you cannot swoosh it -
Well I think the 12-year olds will certainly not moan about the price, their rich parents will give it them anyway for their birthday if they whine long enough "I WANT it mummy, I WANT it!!!" I do not think it is that overpriced at all. I think Lego will keep their prices as low as possible for them, and that it is certainly worth its price. I do not know if I will get it however, it looks certainly nice but I can find no other use for it sitting somewere on a shelf collecting dust as it does not fit with most of the other (army-related) Lego.

just return them to the store and ask for new ones, it's their fault, not yours.

Do you mind sharing the LDD file of the original version? There's much stuff going on in there which I cannot see from such a tiny pic.

Don't worry; problably no-one has taken it, people don't do such things at lego conventions. I've lost one too sometime, but after a few days I found it sitting somewhere in a box where it should not have been. So you might have put it somewhere irrelevant, or someone else did. I suggest you contact a fellow exhibitor who stood next too you, he may have put it in your box or someone did accidentaly in theirs, thinking it belonged to them.
