A lot of science projects have been passing the review stage, but I hope that this one does not (no offence) but it just looks boring.

Finally finished it, this set is awesome and is truly great to display, I've also found a good way to keep the eagle perched over the edge (it hasn't fallen off yet and it requires no extra pieces), the only thing I got upset about was whilst I was carrying the set to my display shelf I dropped the ent, luckily its ok now

Yes I also noticed this with my saruman figure, if you don't want it getting crumpled my suggestion would be to remove the cape

That's unlucky, so far my Orthanc seems ok, and that's a different story to my store, my store in leeds had a full shelf of orthancs and only 2 seemed to have been purchased (one of those by me)

I just bought the tower, the good thing was that my store had plenty but they still put one aside for me. I also got some great promotions with the set, I got the lotr poster, a splinter keychain and a jor el polybag, I can't wait to build this bad boy

Thanks for the magnificent review, this set is definitely a buy, I can't wait till Monday, now the question is how long did it take to build, because it will probably take me a lot longer because of my OCD with stud alignation (I prefer to do the OCD alignation because it takes me a lot longer to build, which is a good thing IMO)

Sadly not that im aware of but if I was to say a release date I'd say about July because thats when amazon has got the sets in stock (3rd), although Orthanc is going to be released this Monday.

Yep, here is the trailer to the new hobbit film I think it looks great and I can't wait for the new sets, they are going to be epic.

I'd like to think so, but sadly I don't think we will. I reckon we will get them some time in July, presumably the 3rd because that is when amazon says that the sets will be in stock. I can't wait for Orthanc to be released, 6 days to go, although I will struggle fitting it on my shelf, I need more room.

Im not too sure if I will get one now, after hearing more and more news I'm starting to change my mind, I initially was going to get this for Christmas but now I think I will wait until later on next year, I still am an xbox fan but the whole kinect thing IMO is just a bit creepy. I guess I have to see and hear more about the xbox one for my final verdict though.

Yesterday I watched Hangover 3, it was too funny for words and it was really entertaining, if you are considering to see it I'd highly recommend watching the credits at the end, its so funny and if you've watched the other hangovers your certainly going to love this. IMO this is the best and funniest hangover film to date.

That looks great, all of these pictures are persuading me to buy a second black gate and combine the two, although I'd think I'd sell the extra set of figures apart from the orcs

The black gate set looks really good with two sets put together (and a bit of modding), its really tempting me to buy a second black gate set and put all of the main characters on eBay and then maybe keep the extra two orcs, btw nice setup and thanks for doing the comparison.

Hopefully it won't be long now until these sets start popping up in the UK, when Orthanc gets its early release (for the VIP's), can you buy Orthanc on the 17th June in store aswell as buying it on S@H, or can you only buy it online?

Great work as usual, I love the use of the saurons eye head aswell as the Star Wars blaster pieces, I just knew somebody would make a micro MOC of Barad Dur using that head piece, it also looks accurate to the movies, I look forward to your future MOCs.
