Oops sorry, I was pretty tired last night, I guess I wasnt thinking , there is only the two judges to my knowledge, judge harm and judge Snyder and no wig, although they could use the judges hammer And yes that competition sound like a gat idea and I too would be up for it aswell

Well we have some really similar components/accessories & minifigures already related to the simpsons characters in the CMF's line such as: Already available pieces. Simpsons Bumblebee woman- Bumblebee man Sea captain- Sea captain Police man- Chief wiggums hat etc Daredevil- Lance Murdock daredevil Jazz musician- Lisa's saxophone Boxing gloves- Boxer Judge- Judge hammer Mobster/mechanic hair- Fat tony components Old man- Generic headpiece maybe used for some minifigures, eg mr burns Darth maul headpiece- Barts headpiece Fat piece like bomburs- Figures such as comic book guy Grandma hair- Maudes hair Scottish bagpipe- Groundskeeper willie Disco dude- Disco stu Cave woman's hair- Sideshow mels hair Hazmat guy- Nuclear plant suit Chefs hat- Luigi There are still plenty more to name and compare but some of these have a great resembelence to some Simpsons characters and others are a little bit weaker.

I don't think that there will be a new donut piece but I reckon it could be a donut printed onto a 1x1 circle like they have done in the TMNT and Star Wars lines. There will definitely be reused pieces for some minifigure accessories such as perhaps the CMF police hat for chief wiggum and the old man hair for a few figures, but we may also re see some hazmat suit pieces if there is going to be a nuclear power station. Lets hope for leaked images for the minifigures from the 2014 retailers catalogue

Here's my guesses for some possible sets: There are still many more possibilities for Simpsons sets, but that is my 2 cents worth :-D (sorry for the super long list)

No problem, always happy to help, I think they might be a little bit large but as long as they are embedded thats better than nothing, perhaps if you get told otherwise by mods etc you can maybe put the pictures into a spoiler tag assuming you know how to do them

This looks really good and I look forward to seeing the final piece, although Id think you'd get more comments if you embedded the images, here is a tutorial on how to do so: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=19193entry322759

Just read this analysis of lego LOTR and Hobbit sets, it was rather interesting http://www.brickpicker.com/forum/index.php/blog/13/entry-386-benchmarks-lotr-and-hobbit/

I went to my local Argos today, I picked up the battle at the black gate set, I cant wait to build it, plus its probably better value for getting lego from Argos instead if S@H because if you spend over £50 like me you get a £5 voucher

I think I will do the same, the ship doesn't bother me too much, but if I can get it for a good price I will and the black gate set is a definite buy for me, I am considering the council set with my VIP points and I don't need the wizard battle as I have Orthanc, great minds think alike

A member a few pages back said that the store manager told them that they would be available on Saturday 27th, so only 2 more days to wait, I too cannot wait and I want more VIP points, I think Im gonna pick up the black gate set and maybe another. On separate notes, no offence sand but I fail to see how that ended up in a set, it is clearly a custom and it looks to me like voldemorts head with a bit of read ink splattered over it, thanks for the picture anyway

I hope that this is true but: Fortunately, it’s been confirmed that Azog will be appearing in the upcoming Fall 2013 LEGO Hobbit sets. However, the upcoming minifigure will be whiter and paler than the SDCC edition. Source: http://www.neoape.com/lego-hobbit-azog-minifigure/ (I wonder where its been confirmed, this is the first time I have heard of a newer version of azog appearing in an upcoming set)

Im sorry if this has already been said but there seems to be a competition to win a shadow Leonardo figure http://www.brickheroes.com/2013/07/shadow-leonardo-is-back/

I picked up the colby city showdown the other day, the build is fun, the figures are great and the set its self is fantastic and it was well worth £39.99 Id highly recommend it to anyone and I look really forward to watching the film.

It was these things called mixels, there's a picture here, http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=84893&st=0 although Im not a big fan of them they do have some great pieces
-
Sadly we all know that this is too true, but here in the UK there is a little helpful website called amazon, they will probably discount these awesome upcoming sets by like 30% off after about 2 months of their release date, so in my budget that seems ok. LOL, now all Im waiting for now is more pictures of the upcoming hobbit wave so my wallet can make the decisions.

Gosh that laketown guard figure looks amazing, Im loving the helmet, sadly the set is too expensive but I have to own a few of them figures in that set, Im going to have to pick up that awesome but expensive set when its on offer

What the hell, a few nice pieces, but perhaps these might have the same fate as other lego lines... Ben 10

Thanks for the other pictures Lego-Freak, hopefully whoever wins the lake town set in this competition http://geek-news.mtv.com/2013/07/19/sdcc-2013-win-a-lego-hobbit-desolation-of-smaug-playset/ will post the pictures online, if we don't find out about the new sets soon enough this set could have the pictures of the upcoming sets in the back of the instruction booklet (sadly I am not eligible to enter because I do not live in the US)

Yes, I think you are right there, plus behind the fish there seems to be a large amount of empty space, perhaps there's something hiding behind it Infact the 'loose' wall could swing forward to knock the fish barrel down to distract the guard, I think this could be one of the main play features because bilbo is wearing the one ring so he must be invisible at that moment (to perhaps evade the guard)

That set looks great but IMO it too also seems to be missing something (maybe a bit of action), Ive never read the books but it just seems a bit of a peaceful scene (like bag end where there are no bad guys), the figures look great, now onto some of the play features: there appears to be a jail, on top of that there is a catapult (there is also one on the boat) and then where the guard is standing the barracks appears to have a bridge (ladder piece), im not too sure but this could connect it onto another set or maybe the jail, then slightly to the right of the fish in the barrel there appears to be a cylinder piece, im not too sure if this will do anything, but it could make part of the roof fall in. If this costs £50 for less than 400 pieces I will definitely get it on sale.
