  1. Brilliant idea, i think i have some wire somewhere that will fit... *kicks self for not being a purist*
  2. I got a slightly imcomplete one for £10 on ebay but i wouldn't pay anymore than £20
  3. Awesome work, very smooth movement and operation perhaps a bigger hold for the balls at the start, so you don't have to keep feeding them in constantly?
  4. This is great work, well done The model looks like it performs very well, and I have no suggestions for it. Battery box is low 4 wheel steering Big wheels XL Motors reasonably low to the ground etc etc, you've built it by the book so to speak The photos and video are all professionally done too (better than mine ) One thing I would like though, every Technic builders favourite picture, one of the underside also some information on gearing?
  5. Updated Stronger and smaller leaf spring by legomuppet9, on Flickr Stronger and smaller leaf spring by legomuppet9, on Flickr I have bent the hose too far however, might want to use flex axles (and yes I have only built it on one side of the axle so far )
  6. Awesome, thanks for all the tips and store suggestions I'll probably try and make an order very soon, with parts for myvsupercar
  7. Thanks for all the links and quick links so far guys Anyone have a decent English based one, also, what is the postage like?
  8. Just wondering if you guys have any favourite stores you use to buy your parts from. As I'm kind of new to Bricklink, and want to find a reliable and cheap (ish) source of Lego Technic Thanks in advance legomuppet9
  9. Ta da! I am needing to build semi elliptic leaf spring suspension on my rear axle of my supercar, and I am impressed with the result. Semi Elliptic Leaf Spring Suspension by legomuppet9, on Flickr Semi Elliptic Leaf Spring Suspension by legomuppet9, on Flickr Semi Elliptic Leaf Spring Suspension by legomuppet9, on Flickr I'm not sure if this is completely accurate and correct, but it seem to work
  10. Just found this by George Staples: http://mocpages.com/moc.php/316153 scroll down for the leaf springs looks pretty realistic in my opinion (you may wish to comment differently, I'm no expert )
  11. By being frankly inept and asking stupidly easy questions... use your brain and a little initiative for once...
  12. I've had a bit of a play and have worked out how to convert it into .ldr and then found that the way sheepo built the model is very logical so you just click each part in the inventory and hey presto (low quality but hey ho) instructions conversion: http://www.mediacollege.com/microsoft/windows/extension-change.html obviously change the .rtf to .l3b and the .txt to .ldr Then open in MLCad, and click on each part in the inventory list Simples
  13. 8x8 is probably your best option then For tips: http://www.bricktrucktrial.com/rubrique.php3?id_rubrique=10 there's loads of stuff to help you out on this page
  14. Hmm... it depends how serious you want it to perform But remember, the more wheels, the more complex the chassis will be, the more parts etc etc. The Tatra 6x6 is good as it has two front axles and one rear one, which is better for trial trucks than 4x4 or 6x6 but two rear and one front, however is more complex as you have two steered front axles. So yes it's basically down to personal preference in my honest opinion, and down to how many parts you have
  15. In my opinion that's a bit harsh In answer to your problems with my opinion: 1) More parts per step = a more challenging build, which I personally prefer 2) Searching where to put the pieces on the instructions is half the fun 3) I don't see how this is a problem if they're hidden away... 4) That is a valid point 5) It does look slightly more professional with the final model at the end yes Otherwise really good job of these instructions You've done a better job than I'd have done... I wouldn't have had the attention span to finish them...
  16. I have to agree tho... this would look better with a bit of covering up (hide the power functions if anything...
  17. Looks good http://www.brickset.com/detail/?set=8862-1 it was only ever a shell in the first place
  18. Performs really well off road, and it looks just right in that environment
  19. 2008... that's not long compared to the last one (1973-2009)
  20. Awesome work, when are we getting a video??
