  1. Not all voters read the rules. A good looking truck with high quality pictures and a small crane could easily win.
  2. In order to stop people building huge and amazing trucks with suspension, trailers, RC gearboxes, multiple axel steering but with a tiny crane on the back, I wondered if there should be a "the crane must be more than a 50% of the total parts used" rule. My idea has a hoist as the centre piece but it will be about 30% of the total parts (I can adapt if needed). I would guess that only about 30% of the parts in 42009 are the crane so that would not be allowed in TC8(?)
  3. This was a tough competition, building a model that can turn into two things is probably four times harder than designing a normal MOC. Congratulations to all that entered. Thank you. Wait while you see my next one.
  4. I made a video to show how everything works. I had already started to pinch a few parts so it was now or never. I probably remove a few too many parts as It exploded on the next take so this all the footage I have. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ykhePvvqoBk I also made this for my next project (another transforming car) but I wish I had made it a few weeks ago for TC7.
  5. 14. Moby-Brick (Enforcers) Project Orcinus (aka Moby-Brick) Armed and aromored supercar, submarine and spaceship all in one. All functions are RC - Drive, steering, transform1 (move) and transform2 (fold) Battle mode The transformation. Link to the discussion topic http://www.eurobrick...howtopic=112043
  6. Crowkillers' quality but in miniature, its brilliant, just like a real MASK toy and the best use of 8435's wheels ever! Will you make instructions? I can't see any rare parts (except enzo rear lights) so I guess white and red versions can be done.
  7. Even whiter.... 42036 White by James Tillson, on Flickr
  8. The project is published and "gathering support" The Scale of this model is 1:78. it would look too small on the MOC platform. I didn't put it on rebrickable because I don't have instructions, just the LDD file. I am happy with the design but I'm sure Lego's own designers could do a much better job. If it gets 500 supporters before it is deleted in 12 months time I will be amazed.
  9. Sorry, I won't be making instructions for this model. There are 11 mechanisms that all need to work together in concert. The wheels and covers move 6L, the wings move 7L and the tail moves 8.5L. The arch covers and tail move through 80 degrees and the wing extensions move 180 degrees. I can not imagine anybody but me could be bothered to adjust all those gears until it all worked perfectly. It would be easier to reproduce if the transformations were manual and not all tied together. It would be great to see somebody copy the body and make a proper super car chassis and interior for it.
  10. I have re-designed my shuttle without the "C-Model" limitations. I am going to put this version on Lego Ideas. lego 113 by James Tillson, on Flickr lego 108 by James Tillson, on Flickr lego 114 by James Tillson, on Flickr lego 106 by James Tillson, on Flickr lego 112 by James Tillson, on Flickr I also made a new video but it is only slightly better than my original.
  11. Transformation as seen from above. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z1MMg2hqUAo The car is 52L long and 23L wide. The "whale" is 65L long and 43L wide. I also finished the rear of the car last night lego 112 by James Tillson, on Flickr
  12. Great transformation from regular truck to deadly battle jeep. The design is smooth and very much like a MASK toy. I am really starting to like the black and white only look of Jim's Enforcers.
  13. I think you have done a great job with the transformation. It is hard to tell that these pictures are all of the same vehicle.
  14. The spoiler transformation http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yD7R2MVhpRk Now all I need to do is route all the wires so that they don't get cought in any the the mechanisms.
  15. I only used the bones of the esprit front axel, it was just perfect for making the killer whale's white patches. See LDD file. I did check with Jim to make sure it was OK to use an old mechanism in TC7. folding wheel (1).lxf
  16. Thank you all! Yes, but not with the wheels that you can see. There is another chassis under the car so it can still move in battle mode.
  17. Armed and aromored supercar, submarine and spaceship all in one. The Bandits will have nowhere to hide. Battle mode r The transformation. All functions are RC - Drive, steering, transform1 (move) and transform2 (fold)
  18. Yes, trust me, it is supposed to be fixed. I just checked my model against the LDD file, it is exactly the same. Mine works just like in the youtube clip.
  19. That would be an awesome MOC concept car/supercar even without the transformation. Great interior and dash board too. Is the V10 connected to the rear wheels? Is there really a 5+R gear box in there?
  20. It isn't supposed to move. If it did move then it wouldn't transfer the movement to the solar panel on the satelite (or you would need a second mechanism to open the solar panels). A few parts have been removed by Garrond to better illustrate his question.
  21. It is better to send a PM when requesting the LDD file so you don't have to make your email address public.
  22. Does the vehicle have to be totally original (including a cool name) or can we try to make one of the MASK cars?
  23. I already made an ugly car that turns in to a plane and a 70's supercar that turns in to a submarine. KITT with super pursuit mode anyone?
