There has never been a hard and fast rule on this either, each QM does it differently, which is a-okay with me, as long as the QM is consistent. I do it your way, Doc, as that's the way that makes most sense to me, but to each their own.

Arthur watches as his teammates stumble around, blinded, and the constant flashes of light blur his vision and make it impossible to read from the scroll in front of him. Sasha hacks her way through the opponents, and Haldor cuts through one of the Aura' with his gloves. The party is limping, but holding together.   5. BAWK! Alright... well, we may appear very close to screwed. But in all honesty, we're not. Assuming that there are four cultists left (I'm assuming that there were 5 to begin with and 1 person was converted, but that's just guess-work), we have about a 50-50 chance of voting one off today. And bear in mind, we really need to. Because there are nine of us, and one of us is a SK. That means there are four and four... again, assuming the numbers I have in my head are correct. I'll start with an accusation! One of my very own. Mindy, you always complain that I don't do this, so I hope you're proud of me! BAWK! Mindy, I suspect you of being a cultist! And also super sexy. But also a cultist. You continue to ride other people, including me, but you never push too hard, and vote with bandwagons. I am going to pull a classic "I'm figuring things out behind closed doors" or rather "through these parrot messages I'm carrying around", and will hopefully have more for you all later.   6. Sandy had me change the wording from hastened to act twice to avoid confusion because hastened is a permanent effect. I'd say YES it does stack, but, as always, Sandy gets the final call. Also, future warning to my Quest 40ers. Mondays are my shit day. Start classes at 11, end at 11, with only a few breaks in-between. If it makes you feel any better, I don't get to eat dinner until after that block. So... for future reference, Monday probably aren't happening for me from now on. Even so, I think this quest will be over... in about a week and a half, maybe nearly two weeks, so you'll only have to deal with this once more. The Angel, now depleted of it's magic, bursts into light. The heroes cleverly avert their eyes this time, but when the light fade, the Angel seems to tower a little bit over all of them, with it's neck above the tops of their heads. Their warning came when they took up their profession." There is a flash of light next to the Paladin that only he and Skrall see. It fades away just as quickly as it appeared. "Bloody ocean. I thought it was deserts that were supposed to make you see things. You may fire when Nyx does. Wait for her signal. Thank you for serving well, Ogre." Boomingham nods curtly to Skrall before turning to Nyx. "I thought this might appeal to you, m'lady. I'm ready whenever you are. Keep that aquamarine at the ready - if they tether their flaming boats to our's, you must put them out immediately. I predict I shall one day go down in a blaze of glory. I'd prefer if that day wasn't today."
  11. Sorry WBD. I love that this quest let's me play up the TWO traits of Boomingham I haven't really gotten to touch on yet. His assholeness towards Orcs and Ogres, and his tactical mind as a general. He's a funny and actually noble person in a lot of ways, and a lot of quests have highlighted that... and only that. I'm so glad to let some other traits shine through now.

There is a little game I like to play called tactics, and allowing them onto this boat unscathed with an accomplice does not figure well into that game. The best battles are the ones where there is zero chance of losing an ally's life. We set them aflame before they can touch us, and cut them down when the survivors try to board. It will be quick and efficient and hardly a battle."
  13. This can't be any surprise, but :wub: :wub: for Hincks. I'd say that my greatest accomplishment so far in this game was staying alive long enough to be featured in that video. Pancho may now die happy.

When they get close, Nyx, you set their boats ablaze. I don't doubt a number of them will make it aboard, but they'll be injured, and surely some will perish. Fire on the high water is much more dangerous than it may sound. We will all stand at the railing and cut down any who come aboard. It isn't the most honorable course of action, but slaving isn't the most honorable profession. They deserve what's coming to them." Boomingham stands grimly, staring out at the boats. Arthur confuses another Aura with another strange stream of words, and Alexis fires off two bolts that clip the Angel twice in the same spot. Haldor is unable to heal his fellow hurt Nord. The only good luck the team has this round is when one of the Aura's accidentally hits the Angel with a blast of light. All ether supplies seem low.
