Shields DO effect the enemy with a roll of 4 because they SAY that they target the enemy. The miss on the other hand, is different. Paladins, for example, still get their miss, which is meditate, even with a healing staff. Aims also effect the target, if a ranger is using a healing staff and rolls a aim, it still targets the target of the healing staff, not the enemy. Why then, would other misses act differently? My party is using the rules to their advantage, so I'm following them to a tee. Though, this is all moot in this instance, because technically the confusion should have been warded off by the guardian angel. Also, yeah, not sure how to write this into the battle description. "So that Cronk gets to keep his Angel, he hits his friend Tesni with a staff four times!" It's as hard to explain away as the gold that heroes sometimes randomly receive from bears and Gods and puddles of fat.

Hey, if shield can be rolled, why not a miss? I did question it as I put it down, I think it may actually just result in a failed healing... but a "aim" with a healing staff would heal, so why wouldn't a shield by Arthur confuse? Though CMP is right, GA would protect against it, so perhaps it should just be one ether off of Arthur's back.

It was sad, and the choice was actually an incredibly difficult one. That's a great way to include previous NPCs without actually including them.

Don't worry, they're not being given out retroactively!! When I released the class, I said that one would have to be on two Wren Quests. No one had completed that yet, some people just had a head-start. Since there were two Wren Quests left, everyone had equal opportunity to still get the class.

They count for the class qualifier, but NOT for those who are able to apply to the final Quest. I figure there was enough Chaos to allow the players to all be Chaos Hunters. And I don't know. It looks fine to me... but I swear there was something that I was trying to fix, so I'm still holding out and trying to remember what it was that needed reworking.

I want to take BD on another Quest to see if I can't break the Warden. I am getting anxious about releasing the list of NPCs in the Wren Quest, so I'll instead release the list of PCs who I will consider taking (those who've been on a Wren Quest so far, some of them so long ago it's hard to remember!): Docken, Christopher Daggerfall, Cronk, Eric, Thothwick, Jess, Hybros, Henry Sicariul (that first batch is hard to remember, right? who remembered that Docken, Christopher, and Eric were on a Wren Quest), Skrall, Tesni, Hoke, Dyric, Jess, Haldor, Nyx, Atramor, Tarn, Harkenshire, Arthur, Alexis. Any combination of those characters looks pretty good, doesn't it. I haven't quite figured out how many people I want to take on that final quest... 6 seems sadly low, 8 even seems like it might exclude some people... but with the amount of NPCs . Also to note, when I finally pump out the finalized "Chaos Hunter" class, the following individuals will have the ability to use it (as of right now): Cronk, Tesni, Thothwick, Skrall, Arthur, Jess, Haldor.

Don't punish us for being smart!! It's costing me a lot of gold to do well in these battles!! I forgot Alexandre was also a Paladin! There's so many of us. But yeah, the four paladins should go into the fields together!! That would be perfect. If one of us drank a nostrum each battle, we'd have five chances a round to get a Guardian Angel.

Our heroes are pretty competent at this point. We thought this was going to be a hard fight, but in like three rounds they've totally changed the odds. Pretty impressive! When I get back from Quest 40, I'm taking a party into the Fields of Glory. I want to give it a try. Ideal Parties: Haldor, Atramor, Boomingham, Docken, (With healers backing up Docken... along with a Witch... we'd be unstoppable until our ether was out, which would take forever between the three of us). Other Ideal Party: Cronk, Boomingham, Maurice (Angels would be there like 24/7, especially if we all took turns drinking Nostrums. We'd autoplay so many rounds).

Yes, I think it's become clear that this isn't exactly a "God", just a perversion of one. Don't hate me, Sandy!! Zepher rarely does things exactly as Sandy would like. It's a good thing that Sandy and I are friends, or else I think he'd think I was the most annoying pest ever. All the items I've forced through the system that he tried to veto at first.... and then I made up that damn shuriken that Triad carries without asking.
