  1. It is my first summer project. I need to finish finals first, but Mid-May, it will get itself caught up! I think I will have to reformat the first post... again, because its getting close to too many hyperlinks, and so will crash if I keep it up. I have thought up a solution, but again, it will take some time to do. I hate dedicating a whole day to Heroica (not that I don't love the game, but I hate dedicating a whole day to ANYTHING), but I think I'll have to do so in early May and get the whole Index up to snuff.
  2. Moone was already featured in The Paladin Conquest, I believe, so you should give it a read to see what sort of life Etzel breathed into the land! It looked fantastic! Also, Guffington IIII (yes, looking AGES ahead... or at least to this winter ) will most certainly be stopping in Terra Chima, so JimBee, set up the land so I can riff off of you.
  3. Quest 33 in particular, I imagine, seeing as they bombed her and flew away, and were chased.... Everyone stand back in shock. Boomingham is drinking, and doing his job. Bam. You thought I was asking for a drink for no reason, Sandy.
  4. Boomingham raises his glass to the werelion. "Sounds like a true story of success. I am always extremely impressed by those who rise from nothing and establish themselves. You are most certainly more deserving of your post than I and the other Kings." Boomingham takes a sip of his wine, and then slaps his forehead. "What am I thinking?! Captain, my people have a tradition, and if you'd be so kind to indulge me, I'd be ever so thankful. It is custom, as a sign of friendship and hospitality, for friends to take the first sip of each other's drinks. Would you mind terribly if we swapped glasses very quickly? I've already muddled mine up, my wife tells me my brain has been going for years, but it would still be symbolically appropriate." If the Captain consents to honoring Boomingham's tradition, they will switch glasses and Boomingham will drink Mumbassa's drink before him. "I will of course visit you down at the docks tomorrow." Boomingham catches sight of another old friend. The boy Lorcan, who he had not seen for a year since they had engaged in some... shadowy dealings. Boomingham raises his hand and called over to the Hinckwell boy. "Lorcan old chap! Come join me and my new friend for a glass of wine!"
  5. I think summer is going to see an explosion of quests. I'm excited to see what happens.
  6. I actually advise taking a break from hosting, Endgame. It will allow you to catch your breath, and to further focus on Sorrow. I know you love hosting, and Sorrow certainly is already a character, but taking a break will probably make your next quests even better. You need time to recover and synthesize the information you've learned hosting quests so far. I purposely took a break after the Wren quests to clear my heads and really review what worked and what didn't.
  7. We intended to have them out of the world. That of course doesn't have to be the case! I just was telling you what our intention was.
  8. I think I can only do one of them, and I'd hate to see them separated. Great puzzle, by the way, WBD. I think the Henrys were out of Game World, Chromeknight.
  9. Boomingham watches with an unhappy eye as Thothwick engages the Lady in conversation - but, he supposes that's just how things are. He waves to the final guest, Mumbassa. "Hello there chap! Care to join me for a drink? I'm afraid I arrived a little bit early, I've never been good at time. The name is Lord Lawrence Boomingham. My kingdom lies in the High Kingdoms. Where do you hail from? What's your drink of choice?"
  10. I'm loving the emotionless maitre d'. In comparison with Yasmar and Severen, it seems all parties are against hostility of different types. I'm excited to see 67, CJP! I'm liking the party a lot, could be very cool interactions!
  11. Boomingham nods at the maitre d'. "Very serious," he murmurs to both of his companions. "Might want to keep an eye on him. He never even gave up his name." Boomingham glances around. "Well, there doesn't seem much to do before the party begins. Thothwick, would you mind going to talk to that Orcish waiter? Nyx, you might have a little bit of luck with that suave looking gentleman over there." Boomingham himself walks around and checks the two potted plants absently, and then checks the floral arrangements on each table before taking a seat.
  12. I made it a requirement for Guffington.
  13. It was a technique used early in the game, and I actually kind of liked it. It wasn't so much to be mean to heroes, but to (a) force new parties and (b) help balance. It shouldn't be EVERY quest, but it should certainly be some quests. I'd also like to see more of "apply as party" quests. Again, not every quest, just once in every ten, perhaps. I did it for the first Guffington, and it encouraged Hall roleplay and made for a great party. I may use it for Guffy 2... maybe, though this time it makes less sense story-wise. BD, I'm going to let YOU decide. You seem to like challenging strategizing, so I thought you might enjoy the Russel quest, but I don't know if Docken feels a connection with Guffington. I said I'd like a chance to break the Docken, and I stick by that, and that's what Russel is for, but of course you need not decide now. See when the quests go up, but know the choice is 100% in your hands... and if you want to, you WILL be on ONE of them. EDIT: Jebs, since I see you lurking, it IS my goal to get you to come on one of my quests as well. I wouldn't be adverse to hosting Sorrow either, and I think I've spoken about my love for Pretzel before. Wren Questers, I think I'm going to try to let you out on your own adventures for a brief time, but by the time the third Russel and Guffy roll around, I'd love to see you back again!
  14. Boomingham nods politely at the golum. "Lord Lawrence Boomingham. I'm the leader of this rag-tag crowd, so I suppose I'll be the one you'll need to be dealing with." Boomingham offers his hand and turns on his ever present natural charm. "And you are? Do you think some of your staff could rustle up a cup of mead for myself and my friends? We would like to blend in with the party if possible." Boomingham leans over to Nyx. "Perhaps before we dance, you wouldn't mind going and asking those band members what they think of the singer and the evening."
  15. I'm hoping to have you all back, if possible. Docken has some enemies in the Russel Quest specifically designed for him (the Russel Quest will be a bit more battle oriented, Guffington is very puzzle-esque this time around), but I'd respect if he wanted to continue the story. The original Quest pitch for Guffington said no Assassins (because we don't have enough quests that say that sort of shit anymore) but I felt bad because I wanted you included, so I took it out. Yasmar is awesome and looks awesome. Rogues have always been broken. As quests go on, they will get progressively more broken. It's just part of the game. Everyone will be making a rogue secondary character if they care at all about stats. The nice thing for rogues to do, as some DO do this, is to buy consumables for their party mates as well (clerics heal as support, knights soak up hits - they build to help their parties, so it would be beneficial and kind for rogues to help their party mates out financially). Phoenix Essences in particular, I think, should be bought by rogues and then passed on to Barbarians/Knights/those likely to survive the battle. But that's just my opinion.
  16. Agreed about that too. I don't record EVERYONE he talks to. Just feelings towards people he's quested with, or really had a good talk with.
  17. I think we only have one Black Knight (Thothwick via Rogue) and one Witch (Atramor via Rogue). I'd like to see more of both classes, though I still think Black Knight could use a bit of a buff, and understand why people don't go that route.
  18. May 14th is looking like a likely sign-up date for two Zepher Quests, sign-ups ending around the 21st of May. If they're approved. Should draw about 7 heroes from the hall.
  19. I simply record general feelings, not specific interactions. That way I remember the flavor, but not the exact facts. Par example: Nerwen: Thinks she's a little snappy and hauty, but likes her over-all, doesn't believe in her religious beliefs, but respects, likes her forcefulness, friends Ellaria: Daughter-Like, Sweet, Trusts her, Protective See, just general Boomingham feeling towards them to fall back on.
  20. Just gave this a read-through, will probably go back and read it again. I'm very interested in Medieval builds recently, and will be attempting them when I return to my collection this summer! Thank you so much for this comprehensive and informative guide!
  21. Friends joke! And hope that they don't get incinerated! Let's see how friendly Nyx thinks we are.
  22. Around the World in 80 Days. But YES, it will be a cruise. You shall see!
  23. My longest quest has been three months. That was both Dastan and the Finale Wren. I personally believe that 3 months is as long as a quest should go, and that is how long the final Guffington will probably be. EDIT: The final final quest I host might be a marathon. That is the only one I imagine going over that amount of time.
  24. The third Guffington quest will be stopping in Duplovia. Along with Dastan, Babeleth, Xu, Etheria, and maybe Vartland, Terra Chima and The Mistlands! Don't know for sure yet, but I'm very excited for it.
  25. "Come now, you know you're the only floozy for me."
