  1. They were in his head. So if you can figure out a way back in there, be my guest.
  2. Oh! Hopefully! Hard to get those folks around. Goals count as roleplay. Sandy does seem to have plans with him. Oooo, again, that's quite possible!! And CJP, looks like a cool quest!
  3. I'm just teasing ya, Sandy, take your time! Vipera and Ella and XX and Zane will all play major roles in later quests, and therefore are not likely to appear in this next bout of quests. What about other people's NPCs!
  4. Gurnam is one of the NPCs I've wanted to feature for a ridiculously long time. I sadly don't have the parts for him, though. Perhaps he'll still appear - in my imagination, he and Guffington are friends in some capacity.
  5. Just read your next quest title too. I think one of my quests will HAVE to feature building a support system under Eubric. There is so much down there. Wolfgang. Temple of the Old Gods. Temple of Zoot. Sewers. The hide-out from Badger Badger Badger. A Dragon's Lair. Etc.
  6. Oh, and start that quest I'm on as well. I have to say, I've been inspired having Phil as my little avatar. I'm getting excited to ramp up and host my next set of quests... probably sign-ups being a month away, though I have to iron out a few more details for Russel's and a lot more details for Guffington! THAT BEING SAID: are there ANY NPCs that people REALLY want to see again from my quests, or, more importantly, other quests. Both Russel and Guffington have a high possibility of including other NPCs, so if there are a few that people really want to see back and I have the pieces for, I'd love to include them in some manner!
  7. Finish the damn quest so that we can tell you all the things WE think worked and didn't in the QM thread. There will be praise there too, never fear!
  8. Kintober! Superb first quest. I followed it relatively well, and was impressed both by the players, and your hosting. Your battles were professional and quick, your story simple but still fun. I was a huge fan, and can't wait to see what else you have in store for us. I want to get hosted (and quest beside) some of the newer additions to the game, so hopefully we shall cross paths at some point. As for LOOT - you gave an appropriate amount. People give out too much loot now. Read the beginning quests, see the drops then. You gave a very appropriate amount. A FEW unique items, some useful consumables, a dash of gold - that's all people should be dropping, and you did it perfectly!
  9. If they need a paladin, I'll try to be there! I will save comments on the quest until after the conclusion - I've got relatively mixed feelings, but they must certainly lean towards the positive, and I'm more than excited to see the continuation when it rolls around!
  10. If someone was a hero of heroica and then dropped out and became an evil NPC, that'd be cool. It is what CJP already did.
  11. People practicing on animal could be role played. Heroica doesn't really lend itself to villainy, which is why we have to make up NPCs.
  12. To each their own! Though if you're interested in stories and story telling, then you should see them. They are important. Star Wars and LoTR most of all.
  13. Boomingham makes his way over to the Quest Board and beams when he sees his name. "Better make a good impression," he mumbles to himself excitedly. He gives Nyx a little nod good bye, content knowing he'd be seeing her in a day or two for Founder's Day, and then bustles off to go wash his cloths and face, shines his swords, and get his beard trimmed.
  14. The real Zepher is known for being particular blunt with his friends. Not in a mean way, just a practical "don't deal with no silly shit" sort of way.
  15. Well, Sorrow is also undead.... so, that probably also throws some sort of problem into someone finding him attractive. Not against some strange mash-ups, but I imagine MOST races find dead things unattractive physically. And Atramor IS pretty amorally badass (Guts is MORALLY badass in comparison) but even Atramor seems to have some friends. Althior is just off the deep-end amoral. I love it.
  16. Yeah, all of a sudden. Look who came back to roleplay with a vengeance! Where the hell has the CHARACTER Althior been? I've missed him, he's pretty amorally badass. Oh, sex is certainly PART of the mix, and who doesn't love shipping, but it's not the WHOLE mix. And yeah, Flipz, you've got a lot of same-sex couples there. Nothing against them of course, but more than half of the characters in the game feeling that way isn't likely.
  17. And does character psychology extend past sexual lust, or is that all there is to it. Nyx and XX are an interesting coupling, I'm happy we left them where they are for the time being. Tarn and Ella too have places to go - Ella WILL fill an important role in at least one more quest, so I'm hoping I can snag Tarn for that one. Now if only someone would love poor old Boomingham.
  18. Manually. I wanted to change it from Mafia, and originally went with Triad, but decided that was too much of a slap in the face to y'all, so went with someone alive instead.
  19. I think even he and I butted heads a little when we first met! We ought to do some roleplay with him after this quest is over - I've been trying to keep him mentioned, but I don't know what his character was meant to be, and I don't want to roll over any plans you've had for him, so I've been keeping him kind of "off-screen". And I reread my introduction from time to time. Funny stuff. Boomingham's backstory is easy to retcon, because he's a chronic liar. That being said, it actually has changed surprisingly little since it was first thought up. I wish I could remember the moment I thought up Boomingham.
  20. As do most Scuba characters, I think.
  21. Jebs has actually implemented this in a quest before (someone did extra damage to Witches) but it didn't have any effect since there was no witch in the party. I actually kind of like the idea, and will probably use it some time! It's just important to put it in during PRE-PLANNING and then not pick the party based on it. Me too. But in all seriousness, his philosophy for life is (in some ways) one I'd like to follow, and try to! For Boomingham, there ain't nowhere to go but up, and I love that idea. Yes, well, when you played Patricia she wasn't too taken with him, but now Sandy gets to play her, so perhaps she'll have a different reaction. It really is my goal to change her opinion of Boomingham - he makes terrible first impressions, but he's an alright guy, and I could see them getting along. I'm happy we're discussing this! I was going to comment, to both CJP and Endgame, I have had Barty mention that Angels can die in extreme circumstances, so... just something to consider. Very excited! It will be interesting to see how we're divided too! Thothwick, Arthur, I think this will be the first time I quest with either of you, and I'm very excited... and Nyx and Boomers are back together, so that should be fun!
  22. Boomingham nods solemnly as Nerwen leaves the Hall. There is something in her that forces him to take her instructions seriously - perhaps it is because she is the only one who trusts him enough to ask him such a serious favor as looking after friends, or perhaps it is the authoritative self-suredness that she demands it by, but whatever it is, the mission she assigns him will be taken on sincerely. Boomingham grins, equally as impish. "I don't know why the idea is laughable. I think I made quite an impression on her last time. Now I just have to change that impression, and I'm golden. As for blowing things up, just be careful, my dear. I think we all want to see you merrier, but not if it costs us the very little hair we've got left."
  23. Sad to see a WBD quest leave without me on it. Looks like a great party though! Nerwen and Boomingham will have to quest together some other time, but it will happen one day!
  24. Boomingham awkwardly rocks in his seat a little as Nyx worries more about love. His eyes glaze over even more so, and he sips distractedly at the dredges of the drink Nerwen left behind, hardly aware it is not his. "The way I see it," he mumbles. "Is that you either go after it, or you move on. No point chasing phantoms and ghosts. Stuck in the past... or onwards and upwards." He swallows the last few words and then sputters, almost like he's choking, and then coughs one or twice. He looks down at the empty glass in hand, and realizing it is not his sets it back on the table. "We didn't quite get the chance to save her guards, but I don't doubt she knows that we tried our hardest. Can't say I liked that Purple and his gang we headed over with, but the Captain seemed a more than fair women, in more ways than one," Boomingham says with a wink and clearing his throat a little bit more.
  25. Nerwen is wonderful. She is, and I've said this before, the only character I could see Boomingham ever starting a relationship with. I don't know why, but it just seems like it would fit (opposites attract, maybe?). Interestingly enough, Nyx, Nerwen, Haldor and Boomingham are all sitting at the same table right now... so he's probably over-hearing a fair amount of this conversation. Maybe we ought to open the talk to the whole group.
