  2. You may get a talk from Boomingham about that. He yelled at Atramor for the same thing.
  3. "Karie, you seem to be... conflicted. We all have our pasts, but I need to know that you'll be focused on completing our mission. i don't know who this Stealer chap is, but if he scares you that much, well, I can't have a member of my team scared. So stiff upper lip?" Boomingham pauses. "Why does this chap scare you so much? Should I be worried as well? Is there something I need to know?"
  4. 53's party looks great together! The entirety of Heroica seems to have a very dark or toned down color vibe.
  5. Boomingham looks down on the black clad man, and bows his head. "You made your choice. Tell the gods hello." Boomingham drives Scupperer into his opponent's chest, effectively ending his life. "Arthur, you may drag Arnulf through the mud if you like, figure out whatever you want about this Stealer. Miss Karie, a word if you wouldn't mind." Boomingham steps to the side of the alley and gestures for Karie to join him. He tosses a Grand Tonic to Arthur, a smelling salts to Arnulf, a grand potion to Karie, and a mead to Em. He then gives each of his fellow heroes 20 gold and keeps 40 for himself.
  6. That actually would be kind of cool. I also strongly approve of/request the faction based photos, especially if you have the NPCs from that family to pose with. I've also finally come to a conclusion on what to request. I'd like a "family portrait" of Nyx, Boomingham and Atramor. They should all be at the bar, drinking flaming gumballs. If you could put Boomingham's other "family members" (aka Hybros, Ellaria, and yes, even old uncle Skrall) in the picture, that'd make me happy too. I don't know exactly who wants a picture with Boomingham, but anyone feel free to add on to this list.
  7. That's what I said originally, but Sandy corrected me. I agree its a bit of a double standard, but oh well. I understand it as well, though, as if Atramor rolled a 4 it would have a different effect. This is exactly why I asked so many times if the hit is redirected to the Aura, or just the damage.
  8. Voting is now open. Adam will receive the Bobblyhead Pill. I'd much rather reward those who were around than punish them. You may complain when the game is over, if you want. Adam, remember you still have to boldly choose that pill if you want to avoid penalty votes.
  9. "Alright boys, looks like its your turn." Boomingham wheels on the Silver Peon and attacks him from the front row. "I won't be much use fighting our friend in black. He's standing out of my reach, I'd much rather you or Em deal with him. Let the spider come to me, I'll deal with him."

  12. The heroes take a step towards the gate, but, as they may have suspected... are stopped in their tracks by a crackle and a sudden appearance. The story, it seems, is continuing. "You will not pass through the gate. The master is behind." Says the first figure. Another very close quote from the script. It seems the heroes have entered yet another act of the play. Another figure fades into existence... "You shall not pass through the gate. Master would be quite displeased." This quote seemed a little more paraphrased than most of the others they had heard. Either Stirlance had adapted it wrong, or... another figure begins to fade into existence... "Heroes, you do not understand history, or story, or life. Master is more powerful than you can possibly imagine. You cannot break down this door. We will defend our master. The sands of time have not been kind. The master must defend against falsities. The master has been portrayed incorrectly for such a long time." "Hark, the General's army approaches!" Suddenly, the lines are similar once more to what the heroes' remember of the show. "Traitor to the new King!!" they all screech, pointing at Atramor. "Defend the gates!" Three more members of the acting troupe, including Pigley, step forward out of nowhere. The Enemies Door Keeper Level 30 Rock Water *Immune to Negative Effects and Instant Death* SP: 52 Health: 350/350 Special: Protect the Bridge – Deals 30 damage rock/water elemental damage, ignoring row. 13. DarkDragon just likes to see people get eaten.
  14. "Arthur, Arnulf, Karie, that's enough. These boys made their choice. Let's end this battle and we can discuss later." Boomingham repeats his action. Same battle order.
  15. I'll have to give it some thought, but yes indeed, wonderful idea, Sandy!!!
  16. This time, the heroes don't have to move. Before they are able to go anywhere, a huge gate and bits of castle walling burst through the floor and surround them. [This is powerful stuff! Luckily, Russel Ruffers fears nothing! Haha!] A rat scampers by the heroes and sneaks through the crack in the gate. What would the heroes like to do?
  17. Yeah, I gotta agree, instantly recognizable, we have similar taste in musicals, and that rain technique is spot on! I love the Audrey II as well, very cool and nicely colorful! I think that the Rocky Horror picture show is the only one a little lacking - it could be a little more colorful or wonky, but other than that, I love them all and superb job!
  18. Thank you to: TrumpetKing, Jamesn, Hinckley, Kadabra, and PirateDave84!! I hope you all had fun.
  19. The world of Mafia Land is having yet another grayish time period. The Female Lover, certain that she's going to die tonight, relaxes near her lover's grave. Meanwhile, at Dr. Pill's table, the Doctor looks at the pills. He can't figure out what sort of medicine they are. "Uppers? Downers? Those just sound like drugs. And how the hell did he develop a pill that allows someone to survive a killing?! And what about the one that makes us unable to lynch people? This is hardly medicine." The Doctor's thoughts are... cut short, however. Elsewhere... The First Day Lynch, in a misguided attempt to figure out what flavor he is, sets to work on the Sci-Fi facade which, with only one member of the Sci-Fi flavor left, has not been receiving much love and care and in all honesty doesn't really look that good. The Godfather coasts by on his bike and *BANG* goes a pistol. In all unlikelihood, the First Day Lynch flies backwards and crashes into the very slow going pirate themed facade. The Godfather laughs quietly to himself, but is stopped in his tracks by some dark figure shooting lightning. There is a resounding popping noise... And the Godfather is gone. A dark figure passes by the Female Lover. "If you're here to kill me," she begins, "I've got a few things I'd like to say to you first-" The next day, it is Dr. Pill who calls the meeting, not Zepher. "Alright, enough is enough. People keep dying near my pill table, and I'm sick of it." "I think this is the first person to die on your pill table," the Treestump points out. "And I'm sick of it!" Dr. Pill exclaims. "I am a man of science. How am I supposed to conduct my experiments with all this flesh around?! I only need the bones and blood, people!" "Wait... what are these pills made out of, exactly?" "He's a witch!" "Usurper was scum, obviously. The Doctor was town, the Godfather scum, the First DAy Lynch town. Now, some team win already." But where is Zepher, you may ask? "This is my favorite grave ever." The Rules 1 Each player will be given a character to play, who will be aligned with either the Town or the Scum. To win the game, the Town must kill off all the Scum and the SK, while the Scum must outnumber the Town. Any Third-Party (neutral) characters have their own win conditions as outlined below. 2 Each day you will be able to vote to lynch a player. Voting should be done in the following format; Vote: Character (Player). Similarly, unvoting is to be done in the format; Unvote: Character (Player). No other format will be accepted. The player with the most lynches will be lynched. You may only unvote once a day. 3 A game day will last for about 72 hours. Whoever has the most votes at the end of the day will be lynched. The two characters with the highest vote counts will be lynched. You may not vote in the first 24 hours. After the day has concluded, a night phase will commence, which will last a maximum of 48 hours. Night actions must be sent to the host in the first 24 hours of the night phase. 4 The alignment of lynched players, as well as those that died during the night, will be revealed at the beginning of the next day. 5 You may not quote or pretend to quote anything sent to or from you in PM with the game host. This includes all the details of your character and role, as well as any night action results. Role claims and reporting of night action results are acceptable, but in your own words only. Do not attempt to use the structure of your role PM to your advantage, as they are all exactly the same. 6 You may not quote PMs from or to other players. This will result in a 5-vote penalty the same day, and a 5-vote penalty the next. (What can I say, I liked this rule!) 7 Do not play the game outside the day-thread and PMs. Similarly, do not post out of character inside the thread; you must always play the role given to you. Game tactics and roles may only be discussed in the game thread or via PM with other players. Private discussion is done at your own risk and should be treated as part of the game. 8 If you are dead, your game is over. You may not comment on the game to any living or dead players in any form. You are considered dead once you are a) confirmed lynched by the host, or b) announced dead in the morning. This includes posting, private messaging, direct chat, email or any other form of online or offline communication. Any information you had becomes void and may not be passed on. The same applies for living players making contact with those who are no longer playing, no matter what the stated purpose. Both situations can appear to be an attempt to gain information or cause influence that would be unfair to the remaining living players. Whether you are still playing or have already died, if you are contacted inappropriately, please notify the host immediately. Violation of this rule will result in instant mod-kill and probably something worse after the game. 9 You may not edit your posts. Editing your post will result in a 2-vote penalty. This is your only warning. 10 You must post in every Day Thread. Failure to do so will result in a 10-vote penalty at the start of the next day. 11 These rules will change during the game as a game mechanic. Pay close attention. Any and all changes will be struck through, with the new rule in bold. If you encounter a problem or have a question, please contact the host using your role PM. All other forms of communications will be ignored. 20. The town gathers round to lynch the Usurper. They chant his name angrily and stuff as they back him up towards the Cop's body, who they plan to scatter his ashes on. "How do we have the Cop's body?!?!?!?!111" asks the First Day Lynch. "Why does he smell so much?" "We keep all the bodies that have been killed. Haven't you seen the pile? They've been in the background of some of the shots," Zepher explains evenly. "It's right over there, near the Castle Facade!" Candice flies in, lands and cooks her food. Her fiery breath sears the skin off of the bone. After she chomps up her fill (a head and an arm) the town places the skeleton on top of the Cop. "I think this is what he would have wanted," says the Female Lover with a sigh. "Everyone, go to sleep! Let the people with Night Actions play!" Zepher commands. Everyone goes to sleep in the broad daylight.
  21. Boomingham steps forward once again and swings at the the gator. Battle Order Boomingham Arthur Arthur Arnulf Karie Em

  23. I'm hoping (again, fingers crossed) for Prague. But no matter WHERE I end up (I'm pretty sure I'll be in Europe, just not sure about Prague) I will be traveling lots.
  24. Ah! Pandora, Scuba, have fun! Talk lots of Heroica for us! I'm actually studying abroad in Europe next spring (HOPEFULLY) so might be around for a convention or two then. I do one day hope to meet all those I play Heroica and Mafia with... no matter how impractical that may be. And with Scuba and Pandy away, seeing as one is secured a spot and the other is a likely candidate, Guffington may kick off to a slow start.
