  3. Well, it also depends on a few other things. Is it tournament style, or like, fighting pit style? Aka, are they all one on one bracketed, or are they all dropped in a pit and told to fight to the death? Because the second one would also consider which hero has the most friends, and who would die for who, etc. Furthermore, in the RP version, would their willingness to fight be considered? I think Arthur faced with killing a hero might not be able to do it, whereas Althior, Atramor, Hybros or Sylph might be more than willing to kill another hero.
  4. If I had that hairpiece, that would actually be his hair. I think Boomingham has aged gracefully.
  5. Boomingham nods solemnly and steps off the stage. He clears his throat as Sorrow finishes his speech. "My undead friend is right. I do not have all the details, yet, nor will we ever, most likely. The songstress seems to have aligned herself with the wolfgang, and was attempting to sow discord among you and your fellow houses. She appears to be a powerful sorceress. We killed the generals, but the songstress escaped. That mistake rests with me and me alone, none of my allies. They all performed the tasks assigned to them to the best of their abilities. You have the yeti, undead and boy to thank for the deaths of Violetta and Donny, and you may thank Nyx for Steerpike's death. I should have killed the witch, but she overpowered me, and the death of the Moon Elf rests on my hands as well." Boomingham stares each of the House's heads in the eyes. "My lords and ladies, I will give you a command now. I have no authority to do so other than my own conviction, but I am doing it just the same. The songstress, while she had you under her spell, demanded that you seek the cracks in your relationships. She breathed the breath of hatred into you. You must not fall to it. Power is not one person doing one impressive thing. Power is a group of powerful people striving for a common goal. I fought in the Orcish War. I can tell you that no one group won that war. The Paladins alone did not, nor did the High Kingdoms. We all played our part. We were powerful together. Even the veterans did nothing alone. Six survived, but many died. Those who died - we may not know their names, but we owe them our freedom just the same." "In history, we all play small nameless parts. When I killed Bluehood, when I killed Steerpike, I killed them for this city. You are the powers of this city. It is your duty to leave it better than you entered it, not worse. You can only do that together, not apart. So I command you, yes I, simple Lawrence Boomingham, I command you that for the good of the city you love and the people in it; I command you to not fall apart. Protect and nurture this city by protecting and nurturing your fellow leaders." Boomingham sighs and wipes his forehead. He turns to the Golum. "Now, may I please have a drink?"

  8. The residents of Mafia Land line up to get their second batch of pills. "I get it, we can use them for strategy stuff!" says the first day lynch. "Exactly!" Dr. Pill explains. Meanwhile the Talking Animal flirts with Dr. Pill's Horse. "Come here often?" he asks. Sadly, it is just a normal non-talking horse, so it has no response. Elsewhere, the Sci-Fi character finally get some work done on their facade. The Cultist and Cult Leader attempt to get the Virgin to join their crew. 10. OoC: Don't know if I've ever rolled counter while Aura's up? How would that work, exactly? Would Atramor take the damage, but Tesni still counters? Or does, because the land never hits, nothing happen? Also, even though the Wizard's attack is ether based, it is non-elemental, so in theory it should still damage an ethereal opponent, right? 11. Every once and a while I reread some of the planning that went into Dastan, because there are just pages and pages of it. I came across this interesting Quote: So, you're party is protecting Constance, and Emeraldo claims him to be a traitor? In that case I think it will be fairly obvious who the traitor is, having the mix-up while stealing weapons at the other building previously. I'm not sure how we could twist that so that the heroes still think they're acting "heroically", but that's something to think about. Unless I'm misunderstanding something. Funny how people ended up siding in comparison to what we first expected.
  12. Not at all! It's good that we've all figured out who we like playing with! And I'd be more than happy to add you to the long list of people I'd like to have host me some day.
  13. "Your wish is my command." Battle Order Boomingham Boomingham Arthur Arthur Arthur Arthur Nyx Nyx Nagure Nagure Sorrow Sorrow Kiray Arnulf Grimwald
  14. My final final quest will be... and I'm kicking myself already for saying this, but its probably over a year away at this point, so I should have recovered at that point... well, anyway, it will be as many people as sign up, a la 44. Not many battles in it, mostly story, but right now I feel very good about it, though of course all plans are extremely tentative. And yes, BD, those figures are beautiful. I'm excited to see that we may be exploring the race more! I think that Vonnetate has been the only prominent member, and with him gone its exciting to see their original creator swoop back in and expand them.
  15. I'm not a fan of auto-running, having been a QM so many times. It's a sound strategy, but we're not in danger of taking damage, and there are nine heroes, so we'll wail on it. That being said, if you hasten it, I'll be doing an additional 40something damage each turn, so yeah, if you want to go that route, I'd be down!
  16. I saw it. Sadly, as Boomingham believes that the battles almost won, he refuses to NOT lead the charge.
  17. "After any and all quests, Nyx and I treat our party to some Flaming Gumballs. You are welcome to join us for that, and perhaps a little more drink, seeing how you handle yourself." Boomingham chortles at his compatriot.
  18. It's not only a thematic connection, but the final quest of all of my quests will actually have events and characters from all the other series rolled into one. So there's one big story finish. If its not already clear, the end of this Russel Quest and/or the next Guffington should reveal it.
  19. "Let's kill this beast. We have a party to get back to." Boomingham repeats his attack. Battle Order Boomingham Boomingham Nyx Arthur Arthur Arthur Arthur Nagure Nagure Sorrow Sorrow Kiray Arnulf Grimwald
  20. Damn Flaming Gumballs follow me everywhere. It's mostly just Pandora and WBD for me - essentially for the last year (or more!), when it comes to those two, I'm either being hosted by one, questing with one, or hosting one. If I get on a CMP quest, I think he'll probably have to be added to those ranks too.
  21. With the next Guffington right around the corner (sign-ups go up as soon as 66 ends, and then only stand for about three days... so it should be departing in about a week) I wonder if anyone can figure out, yet, what the common thread between the Wren-Russel-Guffington quests is going to be. There are hints in all three story lines about where they're headed.
  22. The third Russel quest (which may... MAY be up in mid-August, depending on MANY things) will feature SOMETHING like that. Not exactly like that (it actually involved MORE body switching at first) but at least something like that. It is aimed at 5 heroes.
  23. Gotta say, you've got a gift for figures, Flare! I love the looks. Necromancer in particular has a cool and unexpected color scheme.
  24. The Pills 1) Hunter’s Pill 2) Light saber Pill 3) Big Red Science Pill (LegoDad) 4) Infectious Pill 5) Magical Pill (Rufus) 6) Cursed Pill (PirateDave84) 7) Alto Pill 8) Pill of Valhalla (KielDaMan) 9) Riot Pill 10) Mystery Pill 11) Mystical Pill (fhommes) 12) Bobblyhead Pill 13) Old Fashion Pill (Clanure) 14) Rum 15) A Pearl 16) Deep Space Pill (Purpearljellyblob) 17) The Royalty Pill (Esurient) 18) Fairy Tale Pill (Hinckley) 19) Pill from the Dickhead Galaxy 20) Pill from the ZubZub System
  25. I actually really like the look. I hope someone goes Regulator at some point. It's a pretty powerful class, actually. Their shield can mow through high leveled and powered enemies, AND is at this point pretty unblockable.
