  1. Okay, I give you that. But just because you've posted more and made a list of votes, you're not automatically town in my eyes. My point was that even though I did not vote for Brian, I did not necessarily vote "wrong" yesterday. I'm still not clairvoyant, that's not one of the perks I get from my union.
  2. That's not what I said at all, I simply said that if you are the watcher, you can watch me next night and see that I'm not a killer. I know your night action can't prove me townie, but perhaps your cop friend will. I sure hope so, so I'll get this itching target off my back and get it focused on the actual scum. By the time I voted, I counted three unreasoned votes against Brian and two against Sarah. I made a choice, which turned out to be wrong, but how was I supposed to know? After Irene's attack towards me just now, I can tell she seems awfully interested in placing the blame on me. Maybe she really tried to divert attention from Brian, then, knowing he was a fellow scum? I obviously was speaking about the people who lynched Brian, duh! I can't take credit for that, and neither can you! Like I repeatedly said yesterday, I had no way of knowing who is scum and who is not on Day One. Are you accusing me for not being clairvoyant? Why wouldn't a townie want to get tracked, to prove he is innocent? Especially when people are suddenly attacking him for no reason? It's not like I even defended Brian yesterday, I was just one of the "unlucky" people who guessed "wrong" with their vote. Besides, Sarah's jury is still out there, remember? Nothing has made her less suspicious than she was yesterday, after all.
  3. Yes, I am aware of that. That's why the low-level mages and clerics need to preserve ether and rest often.
  4. Wow, what a massacre of a night! Glad you guys were right about Brian in the end, though! If you pardon my metagaming, I didn't think it was statistically possible for him to be scum (yet again), but one should never trust statistics, it seems. No way! How does Brian being a scum correlate with me being a scum, anyway? Just because I wasn't fast enough to jump a bandwagon that got him voted out in the last minute yesterday? I voted for Sarah because it looked like she was going to garner votes after the lynch mob for Al dispersed. It was only after that when Brian started getting votes, and by then, it was already coffee break time for me. Al is still alive, and he can watch me all he likes during the night, if that is really his night action. I have my hands clean with these murders. I don't agree that the bandwagon for Brian had started in earnest by the time I placed my vote. There were no real reasons to vote him other than "being worried he might be scum yet again". At that time, I had no reason to defend Brian, but I had no reason to vote for him either. The whole discussion wasn't even focused on Brian by the time I called it a day! These words were put into my mouth yesterday. I agree, I haven't really heard about him yesterday. Sure, he was vocal, but so were plenty of others. Him refusing to switch from voting for Al was admittedly scummy move, but I didn't switch my vote immediately after the role call either - and I'm not scum! Why didn't I? Because there was nobody else potential at the time. The focus then moved to Sarah, so I agreed it was more sensible to vote for the lurker than a possible watcher. Had I voted for Brian just for the sake of voting for Al, I would've been a big hypocrite - along with the other six who voted for Al, too. Or we could alternatively have a second mafia family. It would not be unheard of.
  5. The guard shook his head. "I apologize, but the Daystar Tower is only open to visitors during the Midday Ceremony. The wizards must not be disturbed at any other time. And Magister Lapis Lazuli does not allow just anyone to participate, either." Entry to the Daystar Tower requires 5 influence! The bouncer intervened, blocking Sarge's way. "Hold your seahorses! You really need to pay before you can gain access to the private beach." QM Note: With Black Scorpion's reveal, the subquest took a twist. If you complete it, it will be Black Scorpion who will let you in. If you can find a plausible alternative way of making Black Scorpion return to his duties, then I'm willing to reconsider. This is a role-playing game, after all. The rhinotaur nodded. "SO! Will we head to the Palace District now?" "I'm sorry, mates, but I'm running a business here", said Sed, spreading his arms apologetically. "Besides, it's pitch dark outside. You won't find a thing. Just relax at one of our luxurious rooms, and you can continue your search in broad daylight. Deal?"
  6. "I am but a humble alchemist, but these three are heroes from Heroica, and extremely potent ones, at that. I hired them to escort me here, but we are all more than happy to help the good people of the three cities while we are here. I would like to be in good terms with your people for the sake of trading, after all. I will guarantee your borther's ashes will be delivered safely in our hands. I swear that by the honor of my guild."
  7. Ellaria rushed to appease the situation. Trying to pry information while knowing so little proved to be difficult. "I truly apologize, I did not know about the tragedy in your family. I talked to Chief Kulbin, and he told me about the troubles your city went through some years ago. Was that when you lost your brother, Lady Thisbeen? He must have been a mythril miner, then?" "Chief Kulbin also told me about the dreadful business with the golems. I assure you, Alfred here is totally under our control. Do golems still cause trouble over here, then?"
  8. "I am deeply sorry, my dear, but our order does not accept men." "You could've fooled me with that beard of yours, Sister Myradine. Hehehe!" "But without my beard, Sister Tallis, I would be mistaken as a worshipper of Mythra." "Come on! Where's your sense of humor?!" "This is no time for joking! The Conclave is serious business, unless you want to see another human become an Elder!" "Pray tell me, Sister Nova, why do you think a werewolf would be better suited for the position than a dwarf?" "Or an elf? Last I checked, hairiness was not a requirement for the position, hehehe!" "Besides, Ulrica has only recently joined our sisterhood. And she refuses to carry the honorrific of an aunt. Choosing her would demolish many of our customs and traditions." "At least Sister Ovelia promises stability. And she's way less scary than the werewolf!" "But Sister Ovelia is a human! She has no concept of racial differences." "Excuse me, Nova, but have you looked at yourself in the mirror lately? You're human, too!" "Sister Verdra is a veritable choice, as well, and as a half-orc, she knows the burden we minority races have to bear." "Looks can be deceiving. I am only here to advice you two to choose wisely. Ulrica brings a breath of fresh, northern air to this stale nest of old bats. She has the Duplovian votes, at least." "I think we wood elves will stick with Ovelia. The Mopag live in one little village on one little island - you cannot get a smaller minority than that, hehehe!" "The dwarven Sisters will side with Verdra, if we cannot get our own candidate through." "Wouldn't that be you? I think the beard will scare off any potential voters, hehehe." The three sisters seemed to have forgotten all about Heckz and Periwinkle in their politicing. "The Revered Aunt will want to hear about this", Periwinkle whispered to Heckz.
  9. Heckz hogged all the loot from the battle to himself, and marched back to the city satisfied with himself. Periwinkle lifted her long skirt up as she tried to keep up with him in the soft sand. Their coastal route took them to the Port by the same square they had arrived on the previous morning. There were nobody else on the darkened square but a solitary night guard and a small group of Sisters. "Remember the task that the Revered Aunt gave you? Maybe those Sisters are her competitors, so we'd do good to find out more about them. That's if 'doing good' is anywhere on your list of priorities..." "Ah, you must be talking about Doctor Jiiv'ni. He came back earlier to look for the key he lost, but he must have dropped it somewhere on the beach because he could not find it in the room he rented. He rented it again so he could continue searching tomorrow, saying there was no going back to his wife without the key." The knight slammed his gauntleted fist on the table. 10. Isn't Pretzel's race called a "hermit"? I don't know how that separates him from a normal human, but it sure does not make him half-elven.
  11. Ellaria raises her arms to show innocence - almost hitting the ceiling of the dwarven-made house with them. Ellaria wasn't sure what the dwarven woman's profession was, but it seemed she knew something about the missing mythril. "My apologies for barging in, Lady Thisbeen. I am Doctor Ellaria Arbour from the alchemist's guild in Eubric, and this tough-looking crowd are my bodyguards. Perhaps this brave dwarven warrioress is yours? In any case, I heard you are...err, an influential member of this community, and I wanted to ensure your favor. I am establishing a trading contract between my guild and the dwarven cities, you see."
  12. Wow, look at those codpieces! An interesting technique, nevertheless!
  13. Good job with the figs, Peppy! They really look the part, and it's always great to see more diversity in different themes.
  14. QM Note: Nope, it was the small hours when you arrived to the Luxor Dunes. I will update later today, as I am away from my computer. iPad is not suitable for making updates, I can tell you.
  15. Your style of jumping to the gun was suspicious, that's all. Like I said, grasping at straws here. But I agree that lynching a non-committal lurker over a potential watcher is smarter, so I will unvite: Al (Tinypiesrus) and vote: Sarah (jackjonespaw).
  16. I would say it does, if the player has been a half-elf from the beginning, and not suddenly and miraculously finding out about his elven heritage after acquiring such an item.
  17. It's a start. Especially when it was pretty obvious Shirley/Shelly only made her vote to get the ball rolling. And boy did you roll that ball! Ooh, a last minute role call! It won't affect my choice, since I do not have any better alternatives at this point, but it might be useful information if you actually come up town. If you do, it'll be a damn shame, but Day One is always a game of russian roulette.
  18. You are right, sorry! I just did not hear you before. I must've been on a coffee break. What comes to Wanda's behaviour, I'd peg it down to inexperience - for now. We are all grasping at straws at this point, anyway.
  19. The black knight pounded his goblet on the table, spilling the drink. "Hmpf! Bettah thiz than standin' out tharr wifh those hyphocrates! Pot Calling Kettle Black Assignment: “One of our members, the Black Scorpion Knight, is out drinking and gambling again. He is bringing shame to the whole guard, and we are afraid we have to banish him soon if he continues to disobey. If you could somehow persuade him to quit the habit and return to his duty, we would be spared a lot of trouble.” ~Azure Eagle Knight of the Royal Rainbow Guard Reward: “If you help our order, we can arrange you a meeting with the Almagesta herself.” Expose the affair between Green Baboon Knight and Violet Wolf Knight Expose Crimson Bear Knight’s abuse of the people of the Slums Expose Azure Eagle Knight’s connection with the Black Market The Anubian bouncer at Amenra Beach Resort was much more welcoming to Sarge and Eric than to Heckz's crew earlier. "Late night travellers, huh? Come on in, gentlemen, the dunes are not safe after dark. Although I admit you two seem to be capable of taking care of yourself. Welcome to Amenra!" The bouncer opened the doors, and the pair of heroes stepped into the reception hall. A man in odd glasses waved at them behind the counter. "Step in! Step in! I am Sed, the proprietor of this resort. How can I help you gentlemen on this beautiful night? If you are looking for a room, it's 150 gold per person, with a three-course meal included in the price." "Ha! The same goes to you!" There was no direct way from Luxor Dunes to the Temple of Danab. Which region would Heckz walk through?
  20. "Sorry, but the Head Chief is in another city, Brumpknob. This is Krumbknob, remember?" Ellaria then lowered her voice. "And let us not forget our mission here, to find out if the mythril veins have run out or not. This Lady Thisbeen sounds like she could provide us with answers. Also, Chief Kulbin mentioned golems attacking the mines, so we might have to go up against those at some point. If it ever happens, it will be too soon for my taste."
  21. I apologize, my time zone work schedule is opposite to most of yours. Got a few rough night shifts behind me, and I of course can't comment on anything if it's my legal coffee break. But what can I say? It's Day One, we know nothing concrete yet, but can only go after each other's behaviors. Or in the case of Shirley Carter and Brian Barnes, their history. I know I've got some history behind me, too, so I don't think it's fair to base votes on that alone. Eugene and Irene seem to be the most vocal ones out of the bunch, but they have both refrained from voting thus far. Interesting strategy, since it puts them on the front-and-center but they seem to avoid being the spearhead to a lynch mob. Really?! You almost made me spill my coffee when I heard this! I understand Shirley wanted to put wheels into motion, but she didn't really say anything that could be "on to". Your eagerness in jumping the nearest bandwagon makes you the most suspicious one in this early stage, mate. Vote: Al Cooper (TinyPiesRUs)

  23. Ellaria shuddered at the mention of golems. Her last adventure was still weighing heavily on her mind. "Don't even start with golems! They seem to make a habit of running rampant at the slightest mistake by the commanding mage... I am sorry for your injuries, but on the other hand, I am thrilled science and technology has been able to help you were magic has failed. It has been great to make your acquaintance, Chief Kulbin, and may our business continue in the near future." Ellaria returned to the others, with the chief's letter in hand. "Alright, I got us a ticket to see the Head Chief in Brumpknob! What have the rest of you found out?"
  24. G'day, everyone! What a fine mob we are forming here! Meh, it doesn't have to be donuts. Coffee goes down just fine with buns, cupcakes or muffins, too.
  25. Rex agreed to accompany Boomingham. "Lead the way, sir!" Inside the Lodestar Inn, they found the black knight starting up a day's heavy drinking. "Isn't it high time you reported back to the barracks, sir?" "Don'th tell me whaz to do, you pointy-yearred oaf! Jezz pour me anuther one!" "As you say..."
