  1. Why not? It might be a bit farfetched in Fiona's case, but it wouldn't be the first time it has happened in cases like this. But it seems my brother has Harriet convinced (and impressed as well), and I know she is not an easy person to either convince or impress, since she's been around so much. So for now, I will not vote against my brother, but I will keep an eye on him. Then there's the subject of my son, Quinn. It might be his inexperience and youth, but he has been very passive during this ordeal. Furthermore, since my wife was revealed to be some sort of a half-vampire, I can't help but to fear those genes might have transferred into our child. My wife revealed specifically that she was bitten as a young girl, long before I impregnated her. Now, before anybody claims that our night actions have nothing to do with our personalities, I must disagree on this. It seems we all have our night actions on purpose, even though they might not be that apparent. That means I suspect my son to be a vampire as well. Whether he is on the side of the village or another faction, that I cannot tell. If you wish to enlighten me, Quinn, I'm all ears. Optionally, I'm sure Harriet will let you into second base with her cleavage if you confess to her.
  2. You're really that easy, Harriet?! I'd love to know what he said (or did) to make you suddenly trust him so...
  3. Yes. We. Do. Remember it only takes one vote to convict, and I'm sure there's always one or two who will vote despite any agreements we make. Besides, voting is the town's greatest weapon, and we need to use it in order to get rid of the scum. We might go wrong with it, but at least then we can take responsibility for our mistakes.
  4. Obviously you are not one of the known investigators, protectors or inventors we already have on our side, since Harriet isn't defending you, so what might you be that is so helpful? You can't be the reviver either, since you claim he or she might be evil. I can't think of anything else that might benefit the town so greatly that we'd give a potential scumster a chance to slip away. You could do a great harm to our cause in just one night.
  5. The unfortunate bottom line is that we have to make a conviction today, and you're currently the best bet at least for me. The majority of us agreed that it was Adam Sokern's own fault for standing up to a werewolf so vigorously. It was very unfortunate, yes, but he dug his own grave. As you are digging your own as we speak, in my eyes.
  6. But if we lynch, we will learn something during the day AND during the night. Why are you so against this? Isn't this debate exactly like the one you had in Day One? Have you learned nothing since then? Besides, good luck trying to get 18 other people not to vote anybody today, when just one vote can lead into a conviction.
  7. But he would give them to a murderous villain? What kind of a God do you believe in, brother?! You are too early with these accusations. I for one would like to give Mr. Vaugh at least one night's chance to prove he has returned to help, not to hinder, us. If we lynch him again, we will only give the remaining killers a free pass to another night of murders. The more you speak, Charles, the more I'm inclined to vote for you.
  8. That's exactly what we'd need: an evil faction that can bring back people as it's members. Seriously, would God punish us so? We would have no chances of winning this ordeal if this was the case. I'm thinking you're just trying to steer the fingers pointing at you elsewhere, my brother. Vaugh is not our problem now, as it is evident he is neither the pickaxe killer nor the sword killer. You, on the other hand, could be either one of them. If you want to clarify what exactly you are, I'll be more than happy to hear it in private.
  9. That sure is one way of getting over Beatrice. I'm in! And no, Quinn, you may not participate. Or watch. Go to your room.
  10. Actually, make that three protectors alive, since Walter Knox was the fourth one. But I agree with you, something doesn't measure up here. If I've followed Harriet's theories correctly - and please, do correct me if I'm wrong on this - it seems we've exhausted all the leads Harriet's play offered. I'm still not entirely convinced if "Gary Coleman" really is an insane investigator or just a lying rogue who tried to protect his accomplice, but since we don't know his true identity I can't pursue that suspicion. And I personally can't find any other leads from this mess of pseudonyms. This leads us back to square one and Day One. We uncovered a werewolf because of his own slip of the tongue. We followed that by convicting Adam Sokern on Day Two, which turned out to be a mistake, but there was another highly suspicious figure that day, and although those suspicions have dissolved somewhat since then, I find it hard to trust this man anymore. That man is none other than my own brother, Charles Synclair. There's just something in the way he has participated to the solving of this tragedy that rubs me the wrong way, and unless something more convincing comes up, I will have to force myself to vote for him.
  11. No, she only said she was bitten as a child, but the transformation wasn't complete, and she remained human but with immunity against vampire bites. And you heard how she was announced as a villager, didn't you? However, if she comes back from the dead, we have all the reasons to suspect she is not a villager anymore. I don't think the same applies to Sebastien Vaugh, though, since he didn't vanish in a puff, and his corpse underwent a ritual of some sort rather than just spontaneously springing up from a coffin.
  12. NNOOOOO!!! Not my Beatrice! Where am I ever going to find a cleavage like hers to drown my sorrows in?! Before she departed from this world, she explained the vampire bite thing to me in private, and I don't think she knew that it might mean she could come back as a bloodsucker. So as much as I miss her, I really don't want to see her again - for all of our sakes. As for Mr. Vaugh, I sincerely apologize for our decision yesterday, and I'm thoroughly pleased to see it undone. I'm not entirely sure about this "Gary Coleman" fellow, though. He might be an insane investigator, but he might also be a liar through and through. Unless I missed something, and you doublechecked on him, Harriet. But alas, since us villagers haven't won yet, there is still work cut out for us. The pickaxe has a new owner, it seems, and the sword killer is still out there, and God only knows (literally) what else.
  13. Congratulations on my behalf as well! You three were definitely among those deserving to win. Enjoy your fabulous prizes.
  14. Likewise, I'd love to get a tag like yours! But congratulations for being the only one carrying it.
  15. Before we create a whole multitiered system for beginner, advanced and expert Mafia games, we need to carefully consider how big the demand for them actually is. Currently it seems that the Mafia games get about 50 sign-ups per game, about half of which are people who have played in 0 to 2 games. Since Mafia School cuts the amount of sign-ups by removing the first-timers, we need to look at how many people are left over. My ideal game forum would be one where everybody gets a chance to play, but on the other hand I've been a moderator to a similar game forum on another message board where there were more hosts and open games than there were actual players. And that is not a situation we want to get ourselves in, really. So I suggest we wait until the next pair of games (Forest & Paradisa) is finished before drawing any conclusions about if we need a third game for those who fall in between rookies and veterans.
  16. You're warning about spoilers to Romeo & Juliet? Are you serious? It's like a spoiler warning to the Gospels - everybody knows what happened in the end. And if somebody doesn't know, they need to get back to elementary school.
  17. Very accurate recreation, I must say. It really is a cry and shame that such a beautiful building was destroyed.
  18. It was 72 hours as well, with the no-voting period during the first 24 hours. It did not read in the rules, but I mentioned it every time the voting began.
  19. I have to say, my love, that I am not either. There's just too many contradictions involved with this. However, the day nears to it's end, and with no better way of getting to know the truth, I'm going to stick with my vote and hope that it's not a wrong decision. But whatever the truth about Vaugh is, tomorrow we'll be much wiser.
  20. Except that before Asylum, the days would usually end as soon as conviction was made. I distinctively remember some days that lasted only about 24 hours because of this (and those were the reason you put up the rule of the no-voting period). I personally prefer shorter days, but on the other hand I understand that not all people can follow a more crunched schedule, like the one that was in Asylum.
  21. Excuse me, but I voted for Mr. Vaugh as well (post #138, last line). Thank you!
  22. Hmm, I've heard this argument from someone else before... Was it on Day One, perchance?
  23. Now there's a mental image for the day.
  24. Fair enough. Now let's wait to hear from the baron.
  25. I hope you understand that it's best to keep all options out in the open. I did not mean to make the baron an even bigger target that he previously was, but we townies need to make sure everybody knows what the options are, so that we don't miss anything. It would be detrimental to us if there was for example a frame among us and none of us would even think of that. Likewise it would be detrimental if we didn't protect the baron thinking silver bullets was the only thing he could make, and then the scum would kill him while he still would've been useful to our cause. As much as I trust you, Harriet, I still want to keep a hold of the unlikely option that you're not a villager after all. That's why I brought this up in the public instead of discussing it privately with you.Hope you don't mind.
