  1. It looks really good for a first try, but Paint isn't really the right program to make decals (or any graphics outside pixel art, for that matter). If you want to work on this some more, I'd suggest adding some curves to the sides, maybe in light grey.
  2. I've wondered that myself, as well. I did try every way to persuade him not to reveal us so soon, but he just ignored me. If I remember right, Shadows said something about Stash wanting to side with the good guys for a change. Well, a fat lot it did to him or the townies, since a Mafia-family won anyway.
  3. Okay, I've been listening to this reindeers**t going on and on the whole damn day. The bottomline is that we innocent people cannot win this twisted game of life if we don't vote. We might be wrong, we might be right, we never know until the s**t hits the fan. So I don't know if I'm wrong about this, but I'm innocent and I'm going to use the power given to me and make a damn vote. Vote: Cookie Custer/Roncanator No hard feelings, I'm just not a coward.
  4. I agree with lynching someone from the staff. It pisses me off that they are treating us while they clearly should be treated themselves.
  5. You do realize that it only takes one single vote to take someone out, if nobody else votes? So who will be the sinless one and cast the first stone? Ho ho ho, I don't know.
  6. This is actually a very neat idea! I can't wait to see how you'll do the folding action in the finished product.
  7. I don't keep any of my sets in tact, and my minifigs are likewise all separated into parts, even the duplicates. I just want all the possible pieces to be available when I build figs for my comics and MOCs. The great charm of Lego is that if you "break" something, you can always put it back together. The same applies to the countless of awesome minifigs I own.
  8. What's this political scheming? Bathroom stall discussions and all, that's crazy stuff... Clearly someone's got a hidden agenda here, since they're so aggressively pushing votes for the Wishy-washy Bear.
  9. They are the legs of the Kingdoms king and prince. I'm very pleased that I found out that combination for Brisigne, since the legs go together with the torso so perfectly.
  10. No, Eurobricks has so far been the only place where I've displayed my MOCs and comics.
  11. I'm sure it's mostly just gut feelings at this point. I certainly don't know anything about Big Cam besides the fact that he's duplorrific. However, I'd rather participate in the choosing than let you loonies select the PR by yourselves.
  12. Ho ho ho, look at the crazies go! Everybody's voting for their own big behind, unsurprisingly. I personally can't say I trust any of you, but I think the big guy is the least conniving psychopath of the bunch, so he'll get my vote. Vote for PR: Big Cam Big Cam (3; Big Cam, Roncanator, Sandy) The King of Delaware (2; KingoftheZempk, JimButcher) Mr. Nowhere (1; Rufus) Jesus (1; iamded) Dudley Eisenhower (1; Mrlegoninja) Ryan Catchers (1; Rick)
  13. Yes, that's Bellatrix's dress. I immediately fell in love with it upon first sight. I've thought about cameo appearances of real FF-characters, but we'll just have to see about that... I prefer to use my own characters, but that doesn't exclude a familiar face appearing in a minor role.
  14. These are actually all original characters, not from any game or anything. And there are no decals used in them, they're all 100% genuine Lego parts.
  15. Your skills really are like no one others', SlyOwl. You have such an eye for details, and I cannot even fathom how you can just take a molded piece like the epaulettes or the flippers and use it for something completely different than it's made for - and make it look like it's made just for that purpose! You're a wizard, you must be.
  16. Yesterday I released a brand new comic called FINAL FANTASY LEGO: Crystal Hearts in the Comics and Brickflicks forum. I've also made some artsy images illustrating the various characters featured in the comic, so I thought it'd be nice to show them here, along with a short introduction to each character. The Main Characters: The former Court Mage is a fierce spirit who will do anything to protect those she loves. * Age: 29 * Job Class: Black Mage * Weapon: Dagger The beautiful demeanor of The Orator's assistant hides many secrets. * Age: 34 * Job Class: White Mage * Weapon: Rod This happy-go-lucky youth is the grandson and the sole heir of The Orator. * Age: 18 * Job Class: Dragoon * Weapon: Lance After losing everything, this mercenary mage sold his soul to the highest bidder. * Age: 28 * Job Class: Red Mage * Weapon: Broadsword The sagacious leader of the Speakers of the Truth has a mission to bring down the Junta. * Age: 60 * Job Class: Sage * Weapon: Wisdom The Summoned Spirits: Shiva's Crystheart was found from a hidden temple in Kalla Whitewood in Part Two. More characters will be added to this list as the story progresses. As for the minifigs themselves, I made the decision to use fleshies in this comic because of the added realism they give to the characters. I'm still using only official minifig parts without any modifications aside from switching out hands, arms and legs. The main characters all have several "outfits" for different situations as well, so I hope nobody gets confused about that. Creating new minifigs out of different combinations of pieces is one of my favorite things to do with Lego, and I've sure gotten to do a lot of that for my comics.
  17. Yep, that's Brisigne, and yes, she's a white mage. There's also going to be a monk and a thief among others introduced in future chapters. I opened a topic for the characters to the Minifigs Customization forum. There's some pretty cool artwork I've made along with a bit of information for each character included, so check it out.
  18. The story, the world and all the characters are my own creations, naturally. They're just heavily influenced by the FF-series (each game in the series includes its own world and story, if you didn't know). It's from one of the Imperial Armada soldiers from the old Pirates line. Just switched the hands to fleshies.
  19. He is. In fact, all the main characters are slotted into one of the archetypal Final Fantasy job classes. Cinder is a black mage, Aled is a dragoon, etc. Glad you liked it!
  20. That was my intent as well: I want you to improve. That's why I gave you some constructive criticism along with the praises. You can't really learn from positive feedback, as important as getting it is too. I'm always looking for things to do better in my comics as well. Just compare my first comic (Princess Quest) to the one I posted today.
  21. A very nice adaption of the book. It's one of my favorite Pratchett novels, since it's somewhat different from the rest of the Discworld series. You've done an excellent job with the structure of the comic, the panels make the story easy to follow and there's a nice mixture of close-ups and shots from afar. The backgrounds are a great touch as well, although it would've been nice if the Great A'Tuin in the beginning was brickbuilt as well. I think a good rule with using backdrops in Lego comis is that everything essential should be built with bricks, and all panels should have at least one Lego piece in it. But that's just my opinion on the matter. There's also some grammar issues (capitalization & punctuation), and you could certainly take the time to blow off the dust from the baseplates. One stray hair might not be even noticeable during a photoshoot, but it can easily ruin the whole photo. The same applies to dust. Keep on going, please!
  22. I'm having trouble finding a suitable topic to advertise my new comic series. I know it doesn't have many sci-fi elements in the first part that's now released in the Comics and Brickflicks forum, but the future parts will definitely steer the series more towards sci-fi than just fantasy. But without further ado, I present you with FINAL FANTASY LEGO: Crystal Hearts Part One: The Truth Hides in a Trail of Deception. Enjoy!
  23. INDEX: Part One: The Truth Hides in a Trail of Deception Part Two: Diamond to Dust, Love to Ashes The Characters To bid farewell to this year and lead us into a new one, I am proud to present you with my new comic series: FINAL FANTASY LEGO: Crystal Hearts. Much thought and effort has gone into this series that combines my two biggest fandoms, so I hope you all enjoy what I've created. For a special treat that should enhance your reading experience, I've also included some carefully selected musical tracks linked from YouTube for you to listen while you read the comic. So click the play-button, scroll down to read the comic, and please leave any comments you might have afterwards. Thank you!
  24. Oh wow, so many wonderful wintry entries! It really is tough to choose a maximum of five out of this bunch, but I personally want to award creativity and uniqueness as well as technical building talent, so as nice as many of those churches and cafés are, my votes will go to those who thought outside the box yet also executed their ideas well. twigman: 1 point R66Y: 1 point jansued: 1 point Jameson42: 1 point Cornelius Murdock: 1 point Well done, everybody!
  25. From my fiancé I got the Hogwarts Express set (yay, Luna Lovegood!) and the Pirate Code LEGO boardgame (yay, dozens of jewels!), and with the money I got from my future mother-in-law I bought the new Atlantis Temple (yay, pillar pieces and sea critters!). So all in all, a very nice haul for me.
