  1. I have to say, your confession makes sense to all this confusion, Petey. A Sinister would not jump in to rescue someone else like you did. Unfortunately you are more than likely to be dead by the next morning because of your role (just hope the protector does his or her job right). An insane investigator whose results are topsy turvy... tricky indeed. But I'll take your word for it, so I vote: Havel Pavlov/sok117.
  2. This is magnificently made, funny and endearing. That man creeped me out, stealing LEGO from those kids and all, but I think he was meant to be a creep anyway. Thanks for sharing this!
  3. Yeah, it should be clear to everybody now.
  4. But then again, the rules forbid the use of customized (re-painted, decaled, modded etc.) official LEGO parts, which is what people often mean when they talk about "custom minifigs". I think you should add an broader explanation of just what exactly you're looking for to the rules. The current wording is not really descriptive enough to some people, apparently. And indeed, the word "original" has several meanings, and can be translated in several ways at least in my native language.
  5. A fun idea for a contest, I'm definitely participating to this since I'm apparently out of ideas for the Winter Break building challenge. I have to say, the rules also make this tough. An original minifig that fits the HP world but is not a character from the franchise. And using only legitimate LEGO parts. With only a 100 extra pieces for a backdrop. And the winner is chosen by the public. Yikes!
  6. But what about Shadows and Sparky, who turned out to be "insane but independent". Wouldn't that make them belong to a fourth group, then?
  7. Ahem. Aladdin, Abu, and Jafar, respectively.
  8. Trust me, if you turn out to be a normal insane after all, Jebus will be very high on my list of who to vote out next. I just don't think a Sinister would be as vocal and upfront as he has been, since it puts a huge target on his back. But have a nice trip wherever you're going.
  9. Aww, I'd love this theme! We just watched The little Mermaid with our friends yesterday, and the way it brought me back to my childhood is just miraculous. There's just the problem that the comics aren't really popular outside Europe. Donald Duck and the other residents of Duckburg have been a part of Finnish culture for over sixty years, but I don't think the comics are even published in the US (correct me if I'm wrong on this). And TLG, despite it's European origins, only makes themes that have a worldwide target group. I don't really believe this. Disney merchandise sells like hot cakes. And most of the toy figurines are actually non-violent. It is just the specific age group of boys (about 8-12 year olds) that are mostly into violent toys. I believe a Fabuland-type of theme would appeal especially to younger children and their parents. Sure, the sets wouldn't be all that great build-wise from an AFOL perspective, but neither were the Fabuland sets, which consisted mostly of big wall pieces and accessories.
  10. Okay, now we're getting somewhere. I'm glad that the confusion early this morning has been left behind, and we now have a solid lead to follow. Of course, for all we know we could be duped as we speak, and voting out another insane, but this is the best we've got so we have to go with it. Thus, I unvote: Jesus/Hinckley and vote: King of Delaware/ KingofZempk. Happy Holidays... in Hell!
  11. What is this sudden witch hunt about? I haven't even talked to anyone else but Prof. Diem privately, so I assure you, any "inside info" you might've gotten about me is totally false. I'm one of the good guys, and I hope I don't have to repeat myself on that. That's why I added the "or something of the sort", since he never made it explicit what his actual role was. He just had investigative powers, apparently, and you certainly put a lot of trust to them. I think it was easy for you to trust Martin because you already knew who was insane and who was sinisterly so. People, I think the devil is hiding in plain sight. Vote: Jesus/Hinckley
  12. I'm sorry, but if someone goes around announcing loudly that they're the investigator (or something of the sort), I have a hard time believing them. It's not hard to guess that this was the very reason Martin's dead now, and you were apparently blocked. I myself am pretty sure that the Sinisters voted for Shadows amongst the big group. I don't think they'd want to stand out as much as I did by being one of the three to vote Martin - at least I wouldn't be that foolish if I were in their place. It's sad that you feel I'm likely to be a Sinister just because I was doubtful of your and Martin's story. But as Martin said, if I'm not with you on everything you do, I'm against you, is that so?
  13. I have my character's picture on my signature, since I'm waiting for the Harry Potter avatar contest to finish. Hope you all have the "show signatures" option turned on.
  14. Huh? Are you accusing me for not taking your story at face-value? Of course I doubted it, I have a big reason to doubt anything anyone of you says, because you're all raving lunatics. This night and Martin's death certainly make your words more trustworthy, I admit that. I voted for Martin Century yesterday because I thought he was trying to cause disarray and confrontations in our ranks - a viable reason if I say so myself. And how could I have added anything to the investigations, when I don't have an investigative role? I tell you, you're huffing and puffing at the wrong direction, Jebus.
  15. Well, that was just a jolly good old night time, wasn't it? Two more murders, and not a single sinister uncovered yet. I agree with those of you who said that Martin was probably killed by the Sinisters - it was practically a given considering the way he exposed himself yesterday. But someone else killed the robot, then. Could there be a third party in play here, one we don't know of yet? Or maybe it's an insane vigilante, taking justice to his or her own hands. The options are many. I think I see the other twin standing next to his brother behind the pillar in the reflection from the wall. I could be wrong, though.
  16. What a great, unique idea and excellent execution of it! The phone booth looks authentic with an appropriate scale compared to the minifigs. And you didn't just settle for that, but you built an entire play element for it. The witch and the fireplace seal the deal by tying it with the theme. Great job, and best of luck in the contest!
  17. Well, the mummies will have to count, because that's all there's left of the pharaoh's army in the time period that Pharaoh's Quest takes place in. Jake Raines and his crew aren't time travellers, they just uncovered the cursed pharaoh and his army of mummies. It's not realistic, I know, but it's consistent with the background story. Throwing living soldiers from ancient Egypt into the mix would just be confusing (unless the pharaoh somehow opens a time portal or something).
  18. I'm not holding a grudge (I'm not dressed as the Grinch, see?), but I still don't understand how you can so effortlessly go around telling how you can gain information about people's allegiances. This puts a huge target on your back even if you aren't an investigator, you do realize that? Unless you're sinister, of course. Sinisters automatically know who's on their side and who's not, so you can easily point at a person and get their affiliation right. So I suspect you because you're being so open about what you know. But we'll see what tomorrow brings.
  19. It looks like many cards have been laid to the table, but the truth is still out there. Of course Jesus wanted to divert attention away from himself, and who'd be a better person to place blame than Shadows? I'm not doubting this "switcheroo" role Jesus claims to have yet, but he only said that it didn't work on Shadows - but that doesn't prove anything about what side Shadows is on. I'm not comfortable to vote either Shadows or Jesus, so I'm going the third route, and vote for the agitator. Vote: Martin Century/Stash This is my gift to you this year, alien freak.
  20. What did I ever do to you? Didn't Santa give you enough presents as a child, and now you're taking it out on me? For the record, I'm not the real Santa Claus. I didn't think I'd need to underline that to you, but apparently I forgot what a bunch of delusional toddlers you are.
  21. I'm not suspicious of people because they voted, I'm suspicious that if they wanted someone convicted, why did they vote for Big Cam, who only had one vote behind him, over Cookie, who had two votes. Petey Pirowski already explained himself on this matter, but I still had to voice out my wonderings. I don't think I pushed anything yesterday, I spoke only a few times. My philosophy is just that if our only choice of finding the murderer is to vote out people, then we should vote. It's not like we're giving them a death sentence (unless they ask for it, like Big Cam did). But since new evidence has arisen, I think we should look into that instead of clinging on to my musings.
  22. I'm also very put off by this attempt to seize power over who to vote. We don't know if you're normally insane or dangerously insane or what, but apparently you're arrogant as hell for sure. I'm still bothered by the way yesterday's voting suddenly turned against Big Cam, but perhaps it's not enough to convict anyone based on just that. Dr. Rajim brought an interesting piece of information to our knowledge. I'll too want to hear from the King before making any decisions, but my suspicions turn to Dougie as well. Besides, everybody knows that kids believe in Santa more than Jesus, so there.
  23. I have to say, I'm highly suspicious of the sudden wave of votes to Medium Cam yesterday. When the situation was tied between him and Cookie Custer, I decided to vote for Cookie, but immediately afterwards people started to vote for Big Cam. So it's apparent that the votes weren't just about convicting someone, they were specifically targetted at Big Cam because otherwise it would've been more logical to vote out Cookie, who at the time had two votes against Big Cam's one. But on the other hand, you guys aren't known for your logical prowess. It just makes me wonder if yesterday's voting tells something about the allegiances of Cookie and the people who voted for Big Cam, seeing as he was innocent...
  24. I agree that they look the part, but they're certainly not "purist". Legolas has a repainted hairpiece and a decal in the torso, and both him and Aragorn use non-TLG weapons.
  25. It looks quite good from the outside, if just a little repetitive and plain. It's certainly grandiose enough. However, you should definitely work on the interior some more. For starters, why do the students sit on the floor? And why are the tabletops dark bley instead of brown? You should also add some dishes, candles and flags to give the interior some flair. Just work on it some more and the result will be great.
