What I'm wondering is that if Mr. Vaugh is the investigator as he claims to be, why didn't he contact the baron and Arianna when he found out they were innocent? Neither of them has said anything about communications between Vaugh and themselves, at least. I know that if I were an investigator, it would be the first thing I'd do to contact the target I found innocent and form an alliance with them. Of course there's a slight chance of being mislead because of insanity etc., but that's a risk I for one would be willing to take, because an insane investigator is worthless to the town anyway. Furthermore, I have a few remarks to make on Harriet's latest play: If this part is true (and I believe it is' date=' since it was apparently conveyed to Harriet by the late Dacius Nathans), it reveals that [indent']1) Sebastien Vaugh knew that Baron Edgar was the Inventor (ie. an innocent villager) before this ordeal even started 2) Baron Edgar might know the answer if there are multiple werewolves by the wording of his job description 3) Since the baron is an Inventor, his inventions might not be restricted to just silver bullets, so I strongly suggest we protect him tonight unless he states otherwise[/indent] I hope we can still shed more light to this shadowy mess, but for now I believe the only way we can know the truth is to vote: Sebastien Vaugh/Shadows.

Hmm, maybe. There's certainly plenty of summons coming up in later chapters. Which reminds me that I need to start working on Part 3 so that I publish it this weekend. I've got a script written up until Part 10, with parts 11 and 12 in planning stage - and in the overarching story I think I've only reached halfway. So there's plenty of same goodness coming this way in the future.
-
Just out of interest, what happened to Person 3? You haven't mentioned him/her since the play he/she originally appeared in... Wait a minute. Is this rumor of vampires now confirmed to be true? Did you and my wife reach a conclusion about this, then?

Excuse me for skipping all the "bohoo, [insert name]'s dead!", but I feel like it's time to cut to the chase. Upon reminiscing the events of the couple of first days, I've come to believe that the option of a single, lonely werewolf is actually possible. Maybe Zed had the ability to turn others into his like, but he never got the chance. That would also explain the Hunter's claim for not needing the silver bullets anymore. Maybe the "factions" we were told about only consist of solitary people aiming to grow their ranks or get rid of us Villagers. Anything's possible. Even though we made a mistake with Adam Sokern yesterday, with a heavy heart I support Harriet's suggestion of lynching my brother Charles in order to find out if there really are more Werewolves. If he turns out to be one, then we would know we could not trust the people Harriet has been in contact with. If he is innocent, then we can look into other options. Unless, of course, other options rise today. Another option would be to lynch "The Hunter" from Harriet's play, since in my opinion we don't really need a vigilante thinning our ranks with the other killer. But I don't know if Harriet is willing to give up his/her name. Which option do you want to choose, good people of Blackwood?

Coming right after you! *grabs a bottle of applesauce* Oh, and Quinn, you cannot sleep in between your mum and dad tonight, alright? I would like to say your uncle will protect you from the evil werewolves tonight, but I don't think he's qualified for that job...

No, it's a young man. Do you see any lipstick or eyelashes on the face, after all? Besides, that hairpiece has so far been exclusively used for males. Great to have it in a new color, by the way! I'm loving the unique civilian minifigs that the Mill set offers, alongside the fantastic animals and medieval farming equipment. This is a rare treat for a set, indeed.

Sorry, I got a little confused about who spoke what... But it seems there really is just one person who has yet to vote (aside from Greyson).
-
Because if you had been following this game, you'd know Greyson claims he is unable to vote for anybody.
-
I'll buy them, build them, gaze them in awe for a while and then dismantle them for later use in MOCs. Where's the poll option for that? I really wish that people will not throw away or destroy the minifigs simply because of the color of their skin. Do you have any idea how much the figs will be worth in a couple of years (if you aren't planning on keeping them, that is)?
-
It would be much more expensive to produce something like this with minifigs, you do realize that? Besides, what stops you from making your own minifigs as pawns for this game if you want to. I for one will be looking forward to see how this game plays. I'm not sure if these will reach the local stores where I live, since this seems to be oriented for older kids than those who drool over at the toy shelfs. But we'll see...

Sandy replied to Dragonator's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
I'm sorry if it sounded like I or someone else was taking the credit for this concept. This is in no way a new idea, but it was just time to make it happen instead of just continuously talking about it. -
I agree with the possibility of specified protectors, but I'd think they would know who they can protect from. Of course, nothing is certain in this game of life, so we have to take all possible scenarios into consideration until we know better.
-
Really, on Day Two? We must not forget that there are several (rivaling?) factions among us. Well, please let the rest of us know what you find out as well...
-
It looks like Officer Sokern and my brother Charles do not belong to the same faction, although I'm sad to say I'm not convinced either of them are innocent. But I'm still more inclined to vote for Sokern. His story is just too incredulous for me, and the way he's been searching for someone to shift blame on this entire day is highly suspicious as well. Unless Harriet or someone else can bring something more concrete to the table, I'm going to vote: Adam Sokern/sok117.

But the point of Mafia School isn't to have a highly successful and entertaining experience (even though it is always positive if the games end up that way), it's about teaching and learning. I'm sure the hosts can manage all the necessary guidance. Remember that the standard "advanced" games will continue on schedule, and the "Mafia students" can follow them and learn from the experts at the same time. -

Pandora, if someone happens to fail a Mafia School for some reason, they can of course try again. But in order to fail, you'd have to be really clueless about what the game is all about. I for one will do my best to teach the participants in the process of my game without affecting the outcome. I'm sorry, but the Mafia School games are only open for first-timers, simply because they're meant for teaching the basics of Mafia. Anyone who's already participated in one of the EB Mafia Games do not really need to learn the ropes anymore, they've already learned them the hard way. There might be a few exceptions to this, but that's up to the mods to decide. -

Ahem! We prefer to call them "advanced" games. Even though Mafia School games are simpler, they are still real games and the winners will get their names on the winning list. It looks like we're settling for a maximum of 16 players for all Mafia School games. It might be less if there aren't enough sign ups, but we'll see how popular these will become in time. Of course. I just happened to get to host the first round. I'm sure all the people who've shown their teeth at hosting already can apply to host a future Mafia School game. -

On my own behalf I'd like to welcome all the people who are interested in playing EB Mafia games, but haven't yet gotten a chance to sign up into Escape from Isla Paradisa right after the conclusion of Werewolf Mafia. The setting is obviously Paradisa-themed, but as Dragonator said, the rules will be simple and easy for anyone to understand. I'd like to add one thing that Dragonator forgot to mention: we've been talking that from now on, all those who haven't yet participated in a Mafia game here in EB have to play a Mafia School game before they can sign up into an advanced Mafia game. For that purpose we will compile a list of "graduates" that the future hosts can use to see who are eligible as players for their game. I'm sure that if this system does not work, Draggy will come up with something different. I hope Mafia School answers to the worries of all those who've had trouble getting into the awesomeness that are the EB Mafia games. This is your chance to learn the ropes and show your teeth, so you too can one day be doublecrossed by Shadows, duped by Dragonator and mocked by Hinckley. -
Nevertheless, the metallic rooster is still a windfane, not the father of the eggs that the hen produce.

Alright, I've waded through all this talk now. To me, Officer Sokern is still the prime suspect. He is so obviously grasping for straws at this moment. It is obvious that he is either a stupid werewolf or even more stupid villager, both of which we can do well without. We don't need a Jebus on our village to be the scum's figurehead, thank you. Anyway, I will vote for Adam Sokern in due time if nothing more concrete comes up. I am interested to hear about Harriet's alternative theory, though. My beloved wife said that I was being suspected for something. I hope she doesn't confuse me with my brother Charles Synclair, to whom Harriet exposed her mistrust on earlier. I certainly haven't moved an inch from our bed last night, so I have no idea why I would be suspected of anything (unless there is a framer leaving werewolf hair on innocent people's pillows or something).

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 5 discussion
Sandy replied to eiker86's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I don't have a single complaint about this series, looks like an innovative bunch with many requested figs. The Cleopatra and the Cavewoman are probably my favorites, but I will of course get the entire series. It looks like reddish brown to me, and we haven't had that piece in that color yet. The nurse's hair was dark brown, the tennis player's was dark orange, and the upcoming surfer girl's is light brown. -
Absolute amazingness! Suffice to say that these sets are exactly what AFOL Castle fans have been wishing for since forever. All complaints about ugliness of roofs and smallness of gates are just insect's buzzing in my ears, since the pros of these sets far outweight the cons. Each of these sets are a must buy for me. New animals (and printed horses!), new torsos, new weapons, new bardings - a whole new direction for Castle, I must say! The "rooster" on the roof is a metallic windfane. I'd say the "real" rooster is the dark tan one with the hen.

It is saddening to find the good Officer Nathans dead by dawn, yet I must say it doesn't come as a big surprise. I was certain that at least one of the people who lead the vote against Zed the Hairy would wind up dead come today. Nevertheless, I also wonder about the killer's weapon of choice. A pickaxe? Doesn't sound werewolfish to me... Maybe we are dealing with a faction of evil dwarves as well. Quickly, check everyone's legs to see if anybody is walking on stilts!

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 5 discussion
Sandy replied to eiker86's topic in Special LEGO Themes
There are so many wishlists and false rumors in the internet that I for one will not get my hype up until I see pictures. I do however love the ones we've seen so far, especially the Cavewoman (very Flintstones), the Detective and of course Cleopatra. -
I admit that it really is a big if, but wouldn't it be great [for a change]? I apologize if my optimism bothers you. Not only pathetic, but scummy, too, if Zed turns out to be a werewolf. That's why I have a hard time believing that Officer Nathans or Harriet would be werewolves (granted, they might be representatives of another faction instead of Villagers, but there's no knowing that at this point). If you want to hide, you don't initiate a vote on the first day. Hiding in plain sight is much tougher and riskier than hiding in a crowd, so why would werewolves take such chances on Day One of this ordeal? It however makes me wonder why several people are making such long speeches against voting Zed (or against voting in general). I know for a fact that my only weapon in this case is to vote out people, and I'm not going to feel guilty for doing exactly that. It's all for the good of our community, in the end. If we don't vote, then the werewolves have won by default.
