Alf drinks a potion to restore 10 health to himself. Jensen gets yet another critical hit, causing 13 damage to the remaining Ally Gator and leaving it with just 1 health. I'd actually say no to that, since there should be some sort of limitation to these hollow-blade weapons. You're right that considering the realistic time spent it isn't logical that the stored potion could be used on another character besides the attacker (or the target of the attack). But it's your creation, I'll leave it up to you to solve the related kinks.

The battle against the sewer-dwelling creatures continues, and Jensen scores another critical hit on the dark green Ally Gator, taking it down. With his target gone, Alf tries to switch his attack to the other Ally Gator, but it gets a bite out of him, making him lose 5 more health. Then it is En Sabah Nur's time to shine again, as he casts a spell that causes an incredible 35 damage against the troll, thanks to the enhancement given by the mead. Erdathcath takes a good aim at the remaining gator, causing 3 damage to it. And Maurice... well... Two of the enemies remain. The battle goes on! The job traits were changed a while ago. Rangers lost the ability to automatically track things, and rogues can no longer automatically pick locks - only if the Quest Master allows it. So it depends on the case.
-
Sorry, no they can't. Once a rogue flees a battle, they're out of it for good. However, their survival when others fall will ensure that the quest does not fail.

Sandy replied to Jebediahs's topic in The Heroica Archive
Ellaria feels hot as the surge of courage fills her body. She suddenly has no fear, and these scorpions impose no threat to her. "Come on, guys! We can take these babies out quicker than Lord B... Wait, did I use that comparison already? Anyway, I will attack Brown Baby Scorpion A from the front row." -

As Nur and Alf consume their meads, they feel encouraged and will both cause double damage for the duration of the next battle. Boldly the party steps further into the reeking sewers. The air turns thick and moist as the party gets surrounded by undescribable odours. Just when they think they can no longer breath, the party hears a grumbling voice. "Who goes there? Don't you know that if you step into my lair, I will eat you alive!" A hulking figure approaches them from the darkness. It turns out to be a sickly blue troll. Two big lizards follow in it's trail. PREPARE FOR BATTLE! Enemies: Sewer Troll Type: Humanoid, Aquatic Level: 7 Health: 51/51 Special: Bad Breath – Causes poisoned- and afraid-effects to all opponents. So it's just like a quest without the story part? I'm not totally against the idea, but why not make a quest out of it with just a little more effort? I don't understand why such training would be limited to new players only - other than to "learn the ropes", of course, but that can be done during a quest as well. I think many players would love an opportunity to level up easily, and a level-up is always a level-up, whether it's from level 1 to 2 or from level 31 to 32. Let's face it - there's always going to be players who are on different levels, and as the game goes on, the gap between level 1 and the highest level will only grow. So I don't think we need specific training, we just need to have quests geared for different levels of players. So Peppy, if you want (and if I haven't totally misunderstood your idea), you can create a "training quest" that can be light on the story and consists only of battles? It can then be repeated ad nauseum with a new batch of players, of course.

Elphaba nods at the naga. "I thought my wares might raise some questions. Firstly, the scrolls are not consumed, you can use them infinitely as long as you have the ether to back it up. Healing Staff heals instead of damages, so it will heal both friends and foe when you strike them with it - with the exception of the undead, who take damage from healing. The broomstick works as you thought it will, you will be able to do full damage from the back row with it."
-
Don't be silly, of course you're not going to abandon the quest! We're very close to finishing it, you see. And if it's hard for you to stand it, imagine what it's like for the host! Bricksandparts, I've repeatedly told you that I do not like excessive OoC-posts in the quest topics - especially not ones that only consist of out-of-character talk and have no bearing to the game. Since other players are starting to complain, you should now see that you need to stop with the OoC'ing or risk getting left out of all future quests. Not a good option for you, am I right? There are currently some people who are planning for quests, but at this point there are no other approved quest pitches from other members (other than the one already posted to the Heroica Hall topic). I will put up two new quests of my own once I'm finished with my current quest. One will be a Ziegfried-quest open to all players, the other a Bonapartes-quest for those with at least 5 levels.

The party decides to turn around and leave the corpse of Isabeau to rot in peace. They walk past the staircase that they came down, and into the darkness of the sewers. A foul smell fills their nostrils - one far worse than the stench of a dead body. As they walk on, it only gets more excruciatingly horrible. Does the party wish to continue, or turn back? -

The bag contains a diary with the name "Isabeau Carpenter" written on the cover. The diary contains long writings full of angst and despair. It is evident that Isabeau was bullied and tormented at the academy. And now she laid here in the sewers, dumped and forgotten. An agonized scream rings throughout the building. It seems to come from above. The tunnel runs two ways, so the party can only choose to head more to the left or back to the right. -

The grid is quite high up, but with some pushes from the men, Erdathcath is able to push open the grid above the skeleton, and finds out it leads to the stinking lavatory on the first floor of the East Wing. There's now no doubt where the stench originated from. -
Alexis talked to rats way back in Quest#2, you know.

Erdathcath uses her knack at Animal Talk to communicate with the rat. "Squeak squiggity squeak! <Urgh, I can't stand the stench anymore! This was a nice home until all those reeking corpses and trolls started to drop in!>" The party then decides to follow the globe to the left. The tunnel continues straight. The globe suddenly comes to a halt, and the party sees a skeleton with long hair on the sidewalk. A faint light shines down upon the corpse through a grid above. Maurice is now able to pick up the globe and pocket it. 1x Golden Globe - a shiny orb covered with leaf gold (quest item) What will the party do now? -
It's up to you, really. Sorry for being this unhelpful, but I want people to use their own creativity as well, not just lean on my opinions. I honestly have enough stuff going on without having to make up orcish names for you, sorry. I hope you understand...
-
Whoops, I just noticed I have misspelled the god Tarok as "Torak" in the description, which means the name of the land is wrong as well. It should be Baltarok, not Baltorak. Baltarok is the name of the wasteland that the orcs originate from. But of course you can have island-living orcs as well.
-
Yes, the land is called Baltarok. It has been described in the Library-topic:

The party saw no other option but to try out the secret passage at the Faculty Offices. Behind the opening in the wall they discovered a spiral staircase descending into darkness. Walking down the stairs their eyes got used to the dimness, and when the stairs ended about two floors down, they arrived to a tunnel with a stream running in the middle. En Sabah Nur got a creepy flashback from his previous quest: they were definitely back in the sewers that ran below Eubric. Much to everyone's surprise, there was a golden globe floating in the middle of the stream. As if guided by an unseen hand, the globe drifted to the left. Would the party pursue the globe, or go right instead? -

Erdathcath tries to to listen where the whispers originate. It's not easy, since there's an echo in the auditorium, but her elven ears trace the sound to come from under the floor. As Alf looks at the blackboard again, he sees that the earlier equations have been replaced by profane scribblings, just like those written on the East Wing wall. Alf finds no traps, but he notices that the weapons that the statues carry are not made of stone, but metal. They are too high up to reach, though.
