  1. Was that supposed to be an insult? If my writing seems off in some way, remember that English is not my first language. That's the excuse I like to hide behind, at least. Sorry, see below.
  2. "Yes, it is me. I... DON'T NEED YOUR HELP I NEED YOU TO DIE!" With that, the spirit finally appeared. The pale girl was a horrendous sight to behold as she floated in midair. Then the party heard ominous hissing, and an enormous green snake slithered into sight from amidst the pillars. Its eyes glowed with a hypnotizing light. "The basilisk..." Jensen grunted. But that was not all. With a wave of her hand, the mad ghost revived the two great statues of the twin gods to fight at her side. The heroes had solved the mystery of the nocturne vandal, and the tragic case was about to culminate in a battle against the spirit of a girl who was murdered and who knows what else in the lavatory, then dumped down to the sewers, then forgotten. It was no wonder that the ghost had turned into a wight, who unleashed her fury towards the pretentious academy during the dark hours. PREPARE FOR BATTLE! 3. The screaming suddenly subsides. "W-who's there?" a new voice whispers out of thin air. "I... I'm so cold... and alone..." This new voice is clearly feminine, where as the screams sounded like they were coming from a thousand different throats. "H-help?"
  4. All healed up, they march into the Auditorium to see what exactly is causing the screams. The noise hits them hard as they open the door to the hall. "HATE DIE AGONY DIE SUFFER DIE WOE IS ME DIE EVERYTHING MUST DIE PAIN DIE SCREW YOU AND DIE FORSAKEN DIE JUST DIE DIE DIE!!!" The howling seems to come from the center of the auditorium, but the party cannot see anything there. What will they do now?
  5. No, they're not. I've said this before, but you can see the base classes from the border colors of the images. Barbarian Cleric Knight Mage Ranger Rogue
  6. Thanks for inviting me into this experiment, Hinck! Your humour is really one of a kind, so at least I got giggles out of being in this game, even though for the other parts I was pretty much out of it. I just couldn't get my head around the game, even though our gang started out strong: we knew it was an "all-scum" game by day 2, we kept getting the shivs almost daily, and we knew almost all the other meals as well. But then something happened, we were all ousted, our actions were blocked and we were killed or convicted in a row. And I still don't know what we could have done differently! I guess that is my main gripe with the game: I went in assuming I was playing Mafia, but it turned out that none of the strategies I've learned in the dozen games I've played here applied to this game. It was refreshing, for sure, but extremely frustrating at the same time. So I was clueless for most of the time, and for that I have to apologize to my gangmembers. But yeah, I can now say I've played in an all-scum Mafia, and I'm that much experienced as a player. PS. I loved my character! There was just something adorable in that shark...
  7. "Oh my, this is a horrible choice. On the other hand, the reward is spectacular, but the consequences of not hitting the target are grave indeed... And we might have to fight the ranger in any case. I say it's up to Alexis if she wants to take the risk. I personally wouldn't, but I will pray Sylvania to guide Alexis' arrow if she decides to take a shot. Sylvania is also the goddess of hunting, you see." Ellaria closes her eyes and utters a silent prayer to the queen of the forests. She heard her before, so she could hear her again...
  8. Results of Round Three of the Statue Battle: Jensen vs. Antiphone's Statue - Shield: Sentinel Maurice Ratibor vs. Antiphone's Statue - Damage >En Sabah Nur (Water) vs. Antiphone's Statue - Spell/Miss Alf Gregory vs. Gilligan's Statue - Extra Critical Hit >Erdathcath Madilinas vs. Gilligan's Statue - Aim The battle reaches its climax. Jensen goes into the Sentinel-mode, providing protection for the party for the next turn. Maurice is damaged by the statue of the female provost, and he loses 6 health. Nur casts a water-spell on the same statue, causing 30 damage and thus removing it from the combat. Alf gains an extra effective hit on the statue of the leprechaun provost Gilligan, dealing 16 damage. This takes the remaining statue out of the equation. THE BATTLE IS VICTORIOUS! All party members gain a level of experience, except Jensen who gains a half of a level. The enemies drop nothing. Party: Alf Gregory (played by Bricksandparts) Level 8 Barbarian Power: 11 Health: 16/16 Gold: 0 Inventory: Greatsword (WP:3), Helmet (+1 max. health), 2 Potions, Venom, Ice Bomb, Shovel, Magnifying Glass, Crystal Ball En Sabah Nur (played by Jebediahs) Level 11 Mage *Lucky* Power: 16 Health: 13/16 Ether: 9/16 Gold: 0 Inventory: Sangriste Dagger (WP:5), Helmet (+1 max. health), Loaded Die (permanent lucky-effect), Garnet (Earth), Diamond (Light), Aquamarine (Water), 4 Potions, 4 Tonics, Grand Tonic, Remedy, Smoke Bomb, Bedroll, Magnifying Glass Erdathcath Madilinas (played by The_Customizer) Level 8 Ranger Power: 11 Health: 14/14 Gold: 5 Inventory: Longbow (WP:3), Helmet (+1 max. health), Potion, Grand Potion, Smoke Bomb, Ice Bomb, Bedroll, Crystal Ball Maurice Ratibor (played by Etzel) Level 8 Cleric Power: 11 Health: 11/17 Ether: 9/12 Gold: 5 Inventory: Steel Mace (WP:3), Helmet (+1 max. health), Helmet (+1 max. health, unequipped), Potion, 3 Tonics, Venom Jensen (NPC) Level 10½ Night Guard Power: 14 (18 against rock monsters) Health: 20/20 Gold: 0 Inventory: Security Bat (WP:4/8 against rock monsters), Helmet (+1 max. health), Potion After the statues have been eradicated, the party has now access to the contraption on top of the telescope. It turns out to be the legendary Meteor Blade, forged from a metal that dropped down from the heavens. 1x Meteor Blade - WP: 8, light-elemental, suitable to barbarians and knights Party leader, who will gain the honour of carrying this weapon?
  9. Oh, is that so? Well, I better go on with my "sneak peek" schedule, then! Here's another three advanced classes for you to gaze upon. Only six more to be revealed!
  10. Results of Round Two of the Statue Battle: Jensen vs. Bohring's Statue - Critical Hit Alf Gregory vs. Antiphone's Statue - Hit >En Sabah Nur (Water) vs. Antiphone's Statue - Damage/Damage >Erdathcath Madilinas vs. Gilligan's Statue - Hit Maurice Ratibor vs. Focker's Statue - Special Guard The battle goes on. Jensen scores another critical hit, taking out the Statue of Bohring. Alf hits Antiphone's Statue for 10 damage. Nur takes 3 damage from Antiphone's attack. Erdathcath hits Gilligan's Statue again, causing 10 damage. The enchanted statue of Focker tries to turn Maurice into a statue as well, but the cleric's inner resistance towards negative effects prevents that. The statue self-destructs, in any case. Two statues remain, and the battle continues. Enemies: Enchanted Statue of Antiphone Type: Rock Level: 6 Health: 15/45 Special: Statuesque – The Statue sacrifices itself to cause petrified-effect to the target, making it turn into solid rock and become unable to take a turn until the effect is remedied or the battle is over. Jensen starts strong again, dealing 26 damage to the enchanted statue of Bohring with his critical hit. Alf goes into a Frenzy, causes 10 damage to each of the statues. En Sabah Nur's watery spell connects with Provost Focker's statue, causing a smashing 30 damage to it since the rock-type enemy is weak to water. Erdathcath hits her target as well, razing 10 health from it with her arrow. Maurice also hits a statue for 10 damage, resulting in a round of applause from his battling companions. All four enemies still remain, so the battle goes on. 12. Please, the elements do not need to be any more powerful. In the future, there can be for example special items that grant attacks that combines an element and a status effect.
  13. As Maurice starts to climb on top of the telescope to take a better look at the orange contraption, the four statues suddenly spring to life and attack the party. PREPARE FOR BATTLE! 14. Maurice finds notes of stars and planets, some measuring devices and a little chalkboard. Nothing of interest, and certainly nothing blade-like. The statues don't appear to be carrying anything. But the ghost of Bohring the Enlightened said Meteor Blade was hidden there at the Observatory. Where could it be...?
  15. Maurice takes a look into the telescope, and suddenly all the stars seem to be within his grasp! The cleric can hardly take his eyes out of the view to pass the turn to his comrades. Even though it looks like it could turn, the heavy stone statue does not budge an inch.
  16. The party manages to align the planets correctly and as they give the globes a spin, the century-old machinery starts whirring and rotating. The dance of the planets opens up the empty crevice on the western wall, revealing a winding staircase leading up to the top of the tower. Boldly the party enters the staircase, and after a steep climb up they come to the Observatory, where they see a gigantic telescope - a mighty creation that seems to be out of their world. Four statues carved as the image of the four late provosts of the academy stand vigilant around the telescope. A chilly breeze blows through the open window, which reveals the starry sky above. What will the party do now?
  17. And the golden globe...?
  18. "Sorry, stingy babies, we're not going to run. We are in desperate need of the experience we get from killing you, you see?" Ellaria attacks the Brown Baby Scorpion B from the front row.
  19. The planets seems to be in the correct places, but the way up to the observatory still does not open. Maybe the party missed something from the clue they found at the library?
  20. The party returns downstairs and enters the ruined library. The screaming becomes louder and clearer. They walk past the Atrium into the Planetarium, and they can hear the screams all the way. It is evident that they come from the Auditorium. Now the party is facing the puzzle with the planets again. How will they try to solve it?
  21. Maurice gets disoriented by the sewers and thinks that the stairs they used to get down there were a different set of stairs. He notices his mistake as they arrive to back to the Faculty Office. There they hear the screaming more clearly, although it's not near. It's not the cries of someone in distress, but the noise is full of anger and pain. At times it's more like howling, then cursing, then growling. Whatever the source of the scream is, it is not human. Where will the party head to now?
  22. "Ow! That one bit me! Let's smash them!" Ellaria remembers that the element of ice is especially effective against vermin like scorpions, so she decides to throw an Ice Bomb at the enemies to take at least the weakest of them out. "Guys, focus your attacks on the black and the second brown one!"
  23. Of course some of the items sold at the quests can be put on sale to the Marketplace - that was already done with the Mead, the Smelling Salts and the Nostrum, after all. Not all the items, however, there has to be some exclusive content in this game as well, in my opinion. After all, I don't want all the heroes walking around with Loaded Dice. Do you have any specific suggestions?
  24. OoC: Sorry, Bricksandparts, I always forget... Party: Alf Gregory (played by Bricksandparts) Level 7 Barbarian Power: 10 Health: 15/15 Gold: 0 Inventory: Greatsword (WP:3), Helmet (+1 max. health), 2 Potions, Venom, Ice Bomb, Shovel, Magnifying Glass, Crystal Ball En Sabah Nur (played by Jebediahs) Level 10½ Mage *Lucky* Power: 15 Health: 15/15 Ether: 10/15 Gold: 0 Inventory: Sangriste Dagger (WP:5), Helmet (+1 max. health), Loaded Die (permanent lucky-effect), Garnet (Earth), Diamond (Light), Aquamarine (Water), 4 Potions, 4 Tonics, Grand Tonic, Remedy, Smoke Bomb, Bedroll, Magnifying Glass Erdathcath Madilinas (played by The_Customizer) Level 7 Ranger Power: 10 Health: 13/13 Gold: 5 Inventory: Longbow (WP:3), Helmet (+1 max. health), Potion, Grand Potion, Smoke Bomb, Ice Bomb, Bedroll, Crystal Ball Maurice Ratibor (played by Etzel) Level 7 Cleric Power: 10 Health: 16/16 Ether: 8/11 Gold: 5 Inventory: Steel Mace (WP:3), Helmet (+1 max. health), Helmet (+1 max. health, unequipped), Potion, 3 Tonics, Venom, Red Globe, Black Globe, Brown Globe, Grey Globe, Golden Globe, Glue Jensen (NPC) Level 10 Night Guard Power: 14 (18 against rock monsters) Health: 20/20 Gold: 0 Inventory: Security Bat (WP:4/8 against rock monsters), Helmet (+1 max. health), Potion The party holds their noses as the stinking troll's corpse starts to smell more. Alf checks the surroundings, and finds some flaked scales from the floor. Ahead there's only the darkness of the sewers, behind them is the staircase that will lead them to the source of the scream. The party also has the fifth globe now... What will the party do next?
  25. If I was going to tell you your exact location below the academy, I would have done so already. You're in the sewers, so you have no way of knowing your exact location (unless there happens to be a peephole like there was above the skeleton). So I'm not going to tell you it either.
