  1. The doorway next to the jail cell takes the party to the metal staircase leading up. It seems the party has now covered the entire first floor. They still haven't checked what is on top of the staircases, or solved the password to the large door that will take them to Jolly Roger. What was the thing that Sham said about a Bonaparte...? OoC: Ignore the green and red cones, I'm too lazy to shoot a new picture without them just for this.
  2. Have you gotten a go-ahead from Dragonator? Since he's been away, I doubt it. Before you do, you should not plan anything, not just for Eurobricks anyway. I can say Draggy's been quite particular on who he allows to host games here, so I wouldn't hold my breath if I were you. And if I can be totally honest, it is quite insulting that you think you can take the game system I created, slap a different name and theme on it, and call it your own just like that.

  6. Sham's hands move at lightning speed as he deals out his merchandise to the heroes. A phoenix essence and two remedies to Maurice for 45 gold and a topaz to Ad-Hoh for 70 gold. "Ah, I'm sorry but I'm not much of use in battle. In fact, I avoid fighting whenever I can. I think I'll just split from this place and hitchhike a boat to Eubric..." "Well, I do need a lift to Eubric, so if you can provide that I could follow you at a safe distance... But those perfumes look worth no more than 100 gold to me. What are you trying to do, scam Sham Poo? Trust me, many have tried, none have succeeded. Except that no-good Bonaparte... If he wasn't going to Eubric after all, why didn't he just say so and let me find another ship?" "Guys, I know you're eager to buy my wares, but I only have limited stock. 9. You can't touch anyone's equipment without their permission, but if they allow it, it will cost you one turn to get the weapon. There are no weaponless attacks in this game. Not yet, at least. But if there were, they would be non-elemental, and thus would not harm the undead. Thanks for the suggestions, but with the deadly poisoning introduced, those two seem awfully ineffective.
  10. Sayid takes Cinna's Gold Ore, which is worth 80 gold, and 76 gold, making a total of 156 gold in exchange for 13 remedies. If the party is confident that they have enough remedies to purify the fountain, they can either make other purchases or return to the bog, in which case it will be night again. 12. I've finally answered all the unanswered questions in the Library topic (although some answers may not be satisfactory to the askers), so go check it out. Sorry that it has taken so long, I just haven't had the time or motivation until now...
  13. Byblos presents Lord Boomingham with an extensive essay on the Orcish Invasion. It was Year 452 in the High Kingdoms Calendar, roughly 250 years ago, when the orcish hordes first poured en masse from the western prairies of Baltarok into the High and Low Kingdoms. Before that, the greenskins had been raiding and pillaging the borderlands, but never in such force than that year. Entire kingdoms were stomped under the army. The army advanced all the way to the eastern coast, being lead by the self-pronounced Orc King Tarokai, also known as the Skulldrinker and the Green Slayer. The orcs and their allies - goblins, ogres and gremlins among them - defeated the paladins of Ennon in a long, arduous battle that also weakened their own numbers by tens of thousands. But after that battle, the Kingdom of Ennon was theirs. Tarokai made the royal castle of Fortaan his new base, executing the entire royal family and sending the surviving citizens into exile. Many of them fled to Eubric, and that is also the reason why the new headquarters of the Order of the Paladins are located in this city. Fortaan Castle was built between two mountains, so it was easy to defend from any attempts to take it from the north. To the south of the castle lay the expansive Waldurk Forest, which was rumoured to be haunted, and the forest itself was surrounded by the Nathuz Mountains, so sending a large army to regain Fortaan from the south was out of the question. Tarokai held the sieged Fortaan for over a year before the allied High and Low Kingdoms finally deviced a plan. Gathering a hundred most fearsome and talented warriors from all over the kingdoms and beyond, the alliance would have this specialized company infiltrate the lost kingdom of Ennon from the south and sneak into Fortaan Castle to kill Tarokai and open the gates to the main army. The company landed on the Draida Bay in the dead of the night and made its way to the caves of Nathuz. But the Orc King had been cunning, and hidden traps and patrols all over the caverns. Only six out of the hundred emerged from the caves to the Waldurk Forest. There the six raised a Memorial Stone from the ground and imbued it with the memory of the 94 others who did not make it. The magic is so strong even today that it turns the flowers around the stone blood-red, and drives any beast that approaches it berserk. After that, those six went on to invade the castle and rid the world of Tarokai. They became celebrated war heroes, and together they traveled to Eubric Freeport, where they founded an organization called Heroica so that true heroism would never be forgotten. Those six are now known simply as the Veterans, and their legend lives on in all the champions of Heroica. As to what comes to the remains of the orcish invaders, the allied kingdoms sentenced the survivors into slavery. This has continued over generations, although many orcs have managed to buy themselves free. The kingdom of Ennon never recovered. Fortaan Castle still lies in ruins, ghosts and demons have taken over Waldurk Forest and orcish raiders still hold the caves of Nathuz. The border of Baltarok is still heavily guarded in order to prevent another greenskin invasion from ever happening. Byblos directs Dak to a shelf labelled as "Fairy tales & folklore". "There are many types of restless spirits in our world, too many to give a complete list in fact. There are many stories and theories on how they are created, but most involve some sort of great tragedy or dark magics. I am not an expert on those matters, nor do I wish to be, so you have to ask further details from someone else, I am sad to say." Byblos snickers. "You certainly think highly of yourself for a beginner mage. Anyway, I do not keep up with the goings on of the demonic realm, but I do know that this specific demon, Abraxas, has been pestering Eubric ever since ancient times. I wish someone would find a way to destroy it instead of just banishing it, but I fear that sort of powers have long been lost." Byblos shakes his head. "Necromancy is not something I wish to dabble with. You must know more about it than me, and I am perfectly happy to keep it that way."
  14. So... do you like the MOC or not? I think the use of black light is the whole point of this MOC. It gives the creation a fantastic out-of-this-world feeling, and makes it really glow. Wonderful job as always, Angeli! You are really one of the few MOCers here who can think "outside the box" when it comes to building with LEGO.
  15. ANOTHER IMPORTANT NOTICE!!! The list of effects has been updated with two new effects: ~ Badly Poisoned – The target loses 10 health each turn until the effect is remedied or the battle is over. ~ Blessed – The target receives 3 health at the end of each round for the duration of one battle. (Props to Etzel for creating this effect for his quest, I just simplified it a bit.) Items that cause these effects will be added to the Marketplace in the near future. Oh, and if you have more new effects to suggest, I'm all ears.
  16. Sayid bows deeply. "I am honored that you have decided to take your business to me, sahibs, instead of that two-timing scoundrel Ackbar. I can indeed offer you my remedies for 12 gold each, just for my loyal customers. How many did you say you would take?"

  18. IMPORTANT NOTICE! The SHIELD-skills of some the advanced job classes have now been altered or clarified: ~ The Hunter's "Marking of the Favoured" now includes attacking the target before making the choice of whether to mark their type as favoured. This eliminates the uselessness of rolling a SHIELD when the targetted enemy is already favoured. ~ The Black Knight's "Demon Within" now causes darkness-elemental damage equal to three times WP + level to all enemies. The attack will still leave the Black Knight stunned for the next round, but now it's more worthwhile. ~ The Warden's "Aura" now allows them to keep the remaining health that does not exceed their maximum value after using the skill. This helps prevent them from getting knocked out after rolling a SHIELD. ~ The skills of Shaman and Mystic Knight have been reworded to clarify their effects. If you have any questions about these changes, or would like a clarification to another advanced job class skill, please ask away.
  19. OoC: Brickdoctor, how do you suggest Hoptet nurtures an entire body of water? 20. Are you going to argue with me about this? Really?! As the one who built those minifigs, I can tell you for sure they are not the same heads. See for yourself... Of course you can. Oh my, a Dread Hat and a SP:15 shield on the same guy... You are really trying to make your character invincible, aren't you?
  21. "Like I said, I can only deliver you one item at a time. Which one shall it be? As for the mythril, I could go as low as 400 gold, yes..."
  22. And a different face. Ergo, a totally different minifig.
  23. "Yes, I am. Oh, how I miss my dear old momma... Do you know her? Are you guys from Heroica, then? Please, tell me how she is doing!"
  24. Where?! Are we even talking about the same guy here?
  25. OoC: I don't believe I have said anything about how many days you have left. That's a secret for now. The ship voyage itself back to Eubric will take two weeks.
