No, the die roll actually determines how many times the enemy party is hit in total. The hits are then divided by the amount of enemies in the battle. If '6' is rolled and there are four enemies, two of them will get hit twice and two once. If there is only one enemy in the battle, it will get hit six times.

Feeling unstoppable, the party steps onto the pier. The group of pirates at the other end of it notice them immediately, and turn the revolving Tritech Cannon at them. Feeling a sort of déjà vu, the party rushes to meet their opponents. PREPARE FOR BATTLE! The party checks out the big stack of crates near the pier, but only find more Tritech equipment and scrap metal. -
Yes, because they are not targetted directly. Abilities and items that hit multiple enemies do not prevent Free Hits.
-
That's what you get from having two NPCs with the same name. It would be neat if those two were actually the same person, though.

OoC: The big cannons upstairs are, but not the small cannons on the piers. -
With a tingling sensation of excitement, the party made their way to the Danab's Fountain. The stagnant water in the pond stenched horribly. As the heroes came to the source of the fountain - the carved head of the goddess Mother Danab - they heard the same shriek above them that they had heard before. Bracing themselves for the hardest battle they had yet faced, the party drew their weapons, knowing all too well that if they faltered at this last threshold, all their hard work would be in vain. And so the Foul Wyvern descended upon them. PREPARE FOR BATTLE! All staves are melee weapons. Only bows, crossbows, handbombs, throwing weapons and broomsticks are ranged weapons (unless some specific weapon states otherwise).

OoC: Like I said, if you try to get to the crate, the pirates will notice you and attack immediately. Remember the "three tile radius" rule for the enemies perception. However, you can always return to the other pier on the right and battle the pirates with the cannon (once you fix it, that is). It would at least be a change of pace... -
Healing Staff doesn't use Ether, but you can't use the weapon to heal anyone outside of battle, sorry.
-
No, I meant that your basic or advanced class choice will not affect what expert class you can choose (but not all classes will be open to all players, even in that case). I think the advanced classes contain enough "dual classing".

The heroes continue to the locked door they had not checked yet. Much to their surprise, it also had a bronze lock just like the door upstairs. Eric used the key they got from the pirate mutant to unlock it, and the heroes proceeded to the room on the other side. There was a lonely crate left in the room, with the word EXPLOSIVES written on it with big red letters. Very carefully the heroes opened the crate, and earned themselves a cavalcade of bombs. Fire Bomb – Causes 5 points of fire-elemental damage to all enemies, doubled if the target is weak to fire. Ice Bomb – Causes 5 points of ice-elemental damage to all enemies, doubled if the target is weak to ice. Lightning Bomb – Causes 5 points of lightning-elemental damage to all enemies, doubled if the target is weak to lightning. Water Bomb - Causes 5 points of water-elemental damage to all enemies, doubled if the target is weak to water. Floral Bomb – Causes 5 points of wood-elemental damage to all enemies, doubled if the target is weak to wood. Holy Bomb – Causes 5 points of light-elemental damage to all enemies, doubled if the target is weak to light. How would these items be divided? Upon sneaking onwards the party saw that they had arrived on the other side of the water-filled cave. There was another crate on the pier, as well as a group of pirates with a Tritech Cannon. They could easily sneak past the pier, but if they approached the crate the pirates on the pier would surely notice them. -
I've been feeling quite sick these last couple of days, so aside from going to work I haven't got much anything done. But I've got this weekend totally free, so my quests should really reach their conclusions very soon. Please have patience with me, guys. Very little is set to stone with the expert classes yet. I originally thought about Level 30 being the unlocking point, but we'll just have to see how fast people will get there. What I do know is that expert classes will be independent from the basic and advanced classes (but there will be another type of restriction to their availability), and they will include at least classes similar to a bard, a monk, a necromancer, a beastmaster and an alchemist (final names are undediced yet). Hope that will keep up the interest for a while.

Of course you can sell your only gem (gaining 50 gold), but then you wouldn't be able to perform spells or Magic Bursts, so what would be the point? Like others have said, no they don't. It would've been mentioned if they did, trust me.

OoC: The metallic staircase leads up and down from the second floor. There is also one door that is yet unlocked on the first floor: You've already defeated the pirates standing in front of the door, but you needed the Bronze Key to open the door. -
I already replied to your PM, but the reason you cannot host a quest yet is that you cannot have grasped the mechanics of this game fully until you've actually played it. Trust me, hosting is not an easy task. You have to know the rules pretty much by heart or suffer the wrath of players whose stats you've gotten wrong in every single battle.
