  1. I have discovered that I like both bigfigs and minifigures since I own the Hulk in the two forms. I'm going to assume we're not getting a proper Doomsday Bigfig. It would require new molds for the body, arms and legs assuming it's the comic version. That might be too much. I'm happy with a normal minifigure of him then. Also bigfigs are harder to display. I don't like how they have less articulation and always face downwards. I really wish you could move their legs at least. Maybe turn their heads. You know, just minifigure levels of articulation. It's the main reason I don't like the tiny legs! No articulation = no personality or neat poses.
  2. Looking for one that will print on arms, torso front and back, head, legs. In whatever colors like Fleshies, brown, white. Does this exist? Heck, I'd cooperate and supply the pieces if someone out there could print on them. I'm wanting to do my Star Trek custom minifigures in like March. I can do all the designs and supply everything except the insanely hard to come by printers capable of this stuff XD. Originally I was going to use decals but I've come to the realization that I just wouldn't be happy with it. Cost is an object but I'd pay pretty good if there was something out there that could handle this. I'm doubting there is! :)
  3. UCS Falcon is bar far my most wanted set. I'd like a new version of that. New mold for the cockpit. Just give me. I'll pay anything reasonable (reasonable being key which is why I don't own the old one).
  4. Ever loose some Lego? Ever get sad because of it? Ever try to replace something that you realize is now like 10x or more the original cost? Heh... I've been going through my minifigures and actually listing them for the first time. Trying to just get an estimated value. I've noticed that I'm missing a few. I think most of the missing ones were duplicates or older versions of a character which I can live without. But I also can't find my War Machine and it sucks. The only way I can think of them getting lost is after my last move but that place is empty and I have no idea where they could be now! Seem to be missing a small box :(. Then of course there was my childhood collection which is mostly entirely lost. Oh well. You lose some?
  5. The prequels are a mess... http://redlettermedia.com/ Just go and watch his Star Wars movie reviews. I agree with them almost entirely. PLUS these are funny and fun to watch either way. I'd say my own opinions but his match mine almost perfectly and he says it MUCH better than I ever could. They're not the worst movies in the world. They're just... not great. They should be recognized for their not greatness.
  6. I really hope when they do more Iron Mans for future movie sets they go back to the non-terrible kiddified helmets.
  7. Anyone else getting the Doomsday and Bizarro only to give them legs that don't suck? I really don't like the Mighty Micros. Mainly because of their stupid tiny legs and the cartoony faces. But I can't really pass up a Doomsday or Bizarro. I'll display them with different, less terrible legs. Probably the first time I'll display figures that are "edited" but I can't stand those tiny legs.
  8. Did I build mine wrong? It's head is really prone to falling forward if I move it much! Seems unbalanced. Aside from that this is actually one of my favorite sets this year. Maybe my favorite. I just like the design. I wish the legs had more articulation. But I like it.
  9. I'm doubting we're getting more Doctor Who. But I understand I guess. I'm interested in the whole past. I want the other Doctors. I really dislike the current Doctor Who, and that's the ones all the kids are into right now. I'm doubting Doctor Who has enough selling power outside of the UK.
  10. This interview pretty much confirms the Doctors (at least the older ones, some of them) are designed pretty purely for the game. They comment on the discussions they had with how to represent the Fourth Doctor's scarf in Lego form in this game. This leads me to believe that Lego doesn't have an official design for the 4th doctor which probably means they're not doing all the doctors atm (hopefully SOMETHING beyond Capaldi though).
  11. Battlefront looks good but I've got a few worries. 1) AT-AT is rumored to be on rails. That is a huge downgrade. We've had fully drivable AT-ATs since the Battlefield 1942 Star Wars mod at least (early 2000s). 2) No space-only stuff. I assume that'll come with an expansion or DLC though... 3) Really, Star Wars isn't about rapid fire. I know it doesn't make sense but Star Wars is about slower shots. IMO all these dudes machine gunning around doesn't look all that Star Warsy. It's more like cowboy combat rather than modern military.
  12. ABS will probably indeed become unsustainable eventually (not for tons of decades though). They've got to future-proof and the earlier the better. Companies that fail to do so die (or countries for that matter, like what is probably going to happen to Saudi Arabia once enough of the world goes off oil).
  13. It's really sad that LEGO is doing Daleks worse than Character Building...
  14. The Cyberman looks good. The Dalek is ugly. Honestly, I think the Dalek just needs new molds. The ONLY non-Lego brick building stuff I've bought are the Daleks from Character building. They do not suck but the scale is wrong and it lacks that good Lego quality in the plastics. I'm still on the fence. They have a bad doctor for this. Capaldi... well, maybe he's not bad but the writing is ridiculous and the show is just bad now. It's got progressively worse since Moffat took over. If the only Doctor Minifigure available is Capaldi I probably will be skipping this. Also the Tardis is kind of ugly... Yeah, it's more to scale but I think boosting the size by even one stud horizontally would help it greatly. It's SQUISHED!
  15. Flesh all the way. I was into Yellow but it just does NOT work for Franchises and black people. Stop fooling yourselves. Yellow cannot stand for anyone. It's just lighter skinned people. That's why they did the change largely due to Lando. This is why Virtruvius was the only non-yellow non-franchise character. Yellow just doesn't work for dark flesh tones on any level. I liked Yellow before I got into the franchises but I do see the compatibility issues and honestly would rather they get rid of yellows at this point. My Castle Lego is incompatible with my Fleshies. It's quite annoying. Get rid of yellows! Also, to encourage COLORBLINDNESS is NOT the way to go with racial stuff and skin tones. We don't need to whitewash rare (or yellow-wash). We need to see the difference and accept them without applying any prejudice or negativity towards the differences. Colorblindness is an incredibly old fashioned way to attempt to be Politically Correct which in the end just ends up being the opposite. Acknowledging and accepting differences is where it's at, not trying to mesh it all into one super generic mishmash.
  16. Now we're just getting into politics ;). Really, when you point out things the taxes go towards like free healthcare it matters how your finances in life are. I'm in the position where I pay at a rate that would absolutely never be made up for with the "free" healthcare compared to in the US. At every area for me it costs MORE to live here (not that I'd want to move!). Saying you get free healthcare and stuff doesn't really count for as much as you'd think since the taxes in the US are so low in most areas that it doesn't come close to making up for it. Of course this means naturally that the US has crappier social services. But that's all politics and stuff. It doesn't exactly even itself out for everyone. :P If I lived in the US still I'd have 5-10% more disposable income and stuff would cost less (well, than London which is the most expensive city in the world lol).
  17. I live in the UK. I used to live in the US. First off, the majority of the time sets are cheaper in the UK. What's the use of saying what the £ is without tax? When the heck do you not have to pay taxes here? So the Sandcrawler you'll pay £250 for which is about $392. The Sandcrawler is $300 in the US. Several states don't have taxes but EVEN WHEN YOU DO you'll pay less. Maybe $330 max. This theme goes for most sets. The UK prices are higher. You can argue about average salaries and compare the economies but really, for people like me this is 100% a more expensive Lego country lol. I moved so I could get ripped off on my Lego buys :P. I also pay higher taxes so it just costs me more to live here. Then if you live in a big city like LONDON which is the most expensive place on Earth you won't have enough room for your Lego collection unless you pay an obscene amount of money for a place. Everything here is squished and smalI. If I were to choose a country for Lego specifically it would be the US 100%. Stop arbitrarily taking tax off lol. Include the taxes! And you'll find that since the US has much lower taxes it won't matter. Most things are still cheaper in the US.
  18. Kylo Ren suddenly just becomes some bro-dude I'd expect in a sorority. I hope he keeps his mask on in the movie :P.
  19. Looks like we'll see the first glimpses of Star Wars Episode VII Lego on September 4th (not counting leaks). I was hoping to see a hint of it today on May 4th but it's happening on Force Friday according to StarWars.com.
  20. I buy the explanation but don't accept it as good enough :P. I almost never buy off Lego's direct stores because Amazon and places like that will always have a superior deal. Exceptions being some hard to find sets which 3rd parties aren't allowed to put on sale, and when they have a minifigure reward I want. Other then that the VIP points are pathetic and don't even match the every day savings I get off places like Amazon which OFTEN has these things at like 1/3rd off PLUS I get free 1 day shipping! Shop.lego.com is just almost always the worst choice for savings. I'd love codes so my 3rd party purchases counted. Or better yet I'd love for them to do sales that didn't suck more often (10% off Star Wars sets? That's not even close to Amazon sales). Sometimes they do good sales like 50% off the B-Wing but those are few and far between.
  21. They're actually quite charming. :)
  22. Is there a good method to unfolding posters? lol... probably not I imagine. I want to display these but it looks bad if they're folded.
  23. I love the dinos in these sets but aside from that the builds IMO kind of suck just like the last Dino sets. This just has a franchise connected to it. And honestly I hope it does well enough to spark more Dino/Jurassic Park-World interest because I want to see MORE Dino "minifigures". Maybe a Brontosaurus or something. I will most likely be buying many of the Dinosaur minifigures here. However I doubt I'll buy the actual sets or the genetically altered dinosaur (which can only work for Jurassic World). This set is IMO average. Love the dinosaur...
  24. I want the episode VI, V and VI posters. Are they changing the posters each day? Everyone is getting IV today.
  25. The line is present tense because it's literally the exact line taken from RotJ. Play them side by side. They just cleaned up the audio a bit and edited it (including taking out the word "and").
