Ah, the awkward moment when Lego began to realize Yellow can't really stand for ALL skin colors and realized they at least had to switch with franchises.

"Printing" custom minifigure faces?
BrickG replied to opn2's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
Does Steindrucker.com do printed stuff for that cheap? Heads, Body, Arms, Legs, etc? I only know English. Can someone help me navigate here :P and do they have someone who can talk to me in English? Can I get a summary of what I can get from them? I have two projects, one personal and on semi-work related that I've been wanting to do (live in the UK right now). Citizen Brick is an option but I kind of want low numbers which sounds really expensive. -
I don't think they're pissing off a large portion. Maybe 1% of their buyers MAX and I think that's generous. Practically zero of them, no matter how angry about this, will not stop buying Lego. So why should they care? It's a numbers game. This marketing is probably helping them a lot more than hurting, if it's hurting them at all since those of us who hate these things will buy Lego anyways.

LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham (Video Game Discussion)
BrickG replied to The Joker1's topic in LEGO Media and Gaming
Cyborg is more and more being shown as a main Justice Leaguer and I'd love a minifigure of him. However he's a Titan to me. He's the next generation of hero with the likes of Robin, Beast Boy, Starfire and Raven. Not this generation. Hey if we get him in a set (he's being showcased so much I'm thinking we might) we'd still need Starfire and Raven for the Teen Titans. At least the show. :P -
Marvel Superheroes 2015 Rumors & Discussion
BrickG replied to CorneliusMurdock's topic in LEGO Licensed
Anyone else want a new Hulk mold? Maybe one with a bit more articulation... I think humanoid molds should have the same articulation roughly as the regular minifigures. The Hulk seems to always look down too so I kind of don't like having him on display too low. -
Though a teen titans set based on the old show would be AWESOME I'd say it has like a 2% chance of happening :P. In my opinion that show literally had the BEST incarnations of EVERY character it has. Robin, Beast Boy, Cyborg (who will always be in the Titans generation to me, not the Justice League generation), Raven and Starfire. Not to mention it being the thing that brought Slade on the map (I even prefer when characters call him Slade!). I'd freakin' love it though. Give me those 6 minifigures and I'd buy the set in a heartbeat no matter what. I think all are easily doable except Cyborg who we might get soon anyways. You can do the rest without new molds (though I'd love a Deathstroke Helmet mold).

Referring to his hair? Geeze that hair would be so useful. There's been no realistic "flat-top" and I'd love one for a custom Geordi I want to make :P. -
I'd love a Two-Face from the movies or something similar. I hate the Orange one... ridiculous comic book colors :P. Don't own the old one that is actually good. That Harley Quinn... yeah doubt she'll happen. Print EVERYWHERE. Though honestly the future of Lego is likely print everywhere (and multi-color molds). It'll be a bit longer though :P. THAT JOHN STEWART! I really want that. I want that hair too. I'm 99.9% sure that hair doesn't exist but maybe I missed something.

That's a non-answer that basically means "we're going to keep doing that, can't please everyone" ;p.

I agree with most of what you're saying but I don't care. Still liked it :P. The kid was the bad guy and the AFOL dad was misrepresented. Except he DID want to KRAGLE everything...

Might also be because they simply didn't sell that well. TOR kind of failed and became just another MMO in a large crowd of MMOs.

September LEGO Store Calendar - Classic Space VIP set!
BrickG replied to just2good's topic in General LEGO Discussion
You get one. They don't stack unless you make a separate order. Separate orders are allowed and I've done it several times (just buy one thing, complete order, do the next, etc :P). -
Jurassic World would be awesome. They have the molds but they might be wary because the Dino line was one of their least profitable (otherwise they'd have kept it around ;p).

-spoilers- Ronan was useless. As useless as the d00d I can't even remember the name of from Thor 2. As useless as most of the unmemorable villains. Nebula had a bit more going on for her other than "I'm evil lol". I hope her character grows in more movies. Potential.

Post your general LEGO Star Wars questions here
BrickG replied to XimenaPaulina's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Ewok Village and Sandcrawler are new and won't be retired soon. -
Just saw GotG. I know people asked why Groot is so BIG in Lego form. I will now say something... WHY IS GROOT SO BIG IN LEGO FORM? He's ridiculously big in Lego and his mold can't exactly be shrunk. What the crap? How can Lego get it so wrong?

I saw GotG. I will say this before the spoilers: DO NOT STAY FOR THE POST SCENE CREDITS! That might be a spoiler of a kind but it is literally so terrible it could make you think less of the movie. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED! Real spoilers:

Nope. I'll admit I don't really care about Transformers. And the movies are terrible and don't help that. However, Beast Wars which had almost no human involvement (aside from the occasional caveman appearance) and was freakin' awesome. It's possible to have a transformers that doesn't pay attention to humans, though yeah it would be tougher with the main line of Transformers who are based around human vehicles.

The guidelines say no new printed parts or stickers yet Cuusoo has done those in the past.

What elements of LEGO are copyrighted?
BrickG replied to DasMatze's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I think most of the physical characteristics of the Lego bricks are not legally protected. I believe Lego tried to protect them but failed. This is why Mega Bloks and all those "Lego rip-offs" exist and they are VERY similar (except in quality ;p). Don't quote me. This is from reading about random stuff through the years. My memory is hazy. But I really don't think Lego can legally protect much of anything on their elements besides the "LEGO" logo. This is why they are so protective with their brand and want everyone to pretend they control the English language when they pretend "legos" is an incorrect term, ignoring that no English teacher can mark that wrong on any English paper. -
That's ridiculous. It's not selfish. That's a terrible and inaccurate thing to say. It's not selfish to wish that Lego wouldn't put exclusives out that are of people's favorite characters or important ones. The desire to collect your favorite characters at reasonable prices isn't selfish. If anything this act by Nintendo is exclusionary. They exclude a lot of people from being able to experience it by making it incredibly limited. They literally make something that is a tiny piece of plastic completely unobtainable by the majority of people via the limited numbers and limited areas it's being offered. Is it selfish for a kid who doesn't live anywhere by these places to want a Spider Woman who will probably never been seen again? A simple want isn't selfish. Selfishness is when someone lacks concern of others, devoted "devoted to or caring only for oneself; concerned primarily with one's own interests, benefits, welfare, etc., regardless of others. characterized by or manifesting concern or care only for oneself" Selfishness For it to be selfish I'd expect it would take away from others. Wanting the opportunity to collect these figures at a reasonable price isn't selfish because it doesn't negatively affect others in a negative way. Wanting a minifigure doesn't mean you only care about yourself or anything. You're completely exaggerating. If anything it's selfish for people to get these only to sell on eBay. It's selfish to hoard them. It's selfish for Lego to use them as a marketing strategy to make some more $$$. It's not at all an unreasonable request or wish that Lego make these available in some form elsewhere. Like if they were preview figures or a reasonable variant. Selfishness... I don't know how anyone can call it that. Selfishness is stuff like having 3 cookies and 2 siblings and eating them all yourself. Not wishing for something that doesn't harm anyone for wishing for it. :/

I thought it looked terrible. Pure CGI. But it was test so... but then again I thought Planet of the Apes (the new one) looked terrible (and it does).
