I guess I kind of like the idea that she's Luke's daughter but in the same way that Darth Plaguis is indirectly Anakin's Dad. Maybe Luke "made" her thought some fumbling (or the Force did). So she can be a Skywalker in spirit. But whatever. I'm probably wrong. I'd actually think it was neat if she was just something new. I wouldn't mind if the Skywalker line ended. However I'm doubting Disney will let that happen!

I started watching this again. Started where I left off in the middle of season 2. This show is just sooo stupid. I swear everything every character does is just idiotic. It's made for kids yeah but I'd have the same complaint if I was a kid. Everyone is just so dumb and every action just dumb. Finishing blows by bad guys are constantly not finishing blows. Have this Jedi dude disabled? Want to kill him? Lets kick him instead of sabering him! Doesn't matter if there's no reason a sabre wouldn't be just as easy. Lets make our jobs as difficult as possible. Everyone has terrible aim. The goodguys have selectively terrible aim but also have complete immunity. It's ridiculous how often they are just standing still, shooting, with NO cover and the Stormtroopers STILL can't hit them. That is something The Clone Wars did too and it was so freakin' ridiculously bad. There's logic holes everywhere. I mean the latest one I saw was the idiotic probe droids that lady uses. Guarding a door? Lets slowly just turn around back and forth so there's huge openings in our guarding! Ignore the fact that you can just fly up somewhere and hide and LOOK at said door to see if anyone gets through. There's like 10 each episode. This is a dumb show written by dumb people for dumb people. Heh well I don't mean to insult you guys, I'm sure you're NOT dumb. I just feel like this show is so mind bogglingly dumb though. This show is just too much. And WHY did they choose this voice actress for Leia? Doesn't sound anything like her! Her voice is now generic. Anyways, I hate everything Dan Fanwhatever does with Star Wars. He's the most talentless and terrible guy there is. I hate his hat and he's the worst thing to happen to Star Wars since the Prequels. Heck, I think the Prequels are better than these TV shows. Well, okay I'm trolling. I enjoyed about 1 out of every 10 Clone Wars episodes I guess. Probably less with Rebels though. If I wasn't sleep deprived and approaching 48 hours of no sleep I could make a more intelligently written post. But the point is this show is soooo bad. SOOOO BAD. I wish they just killed Rebels when DIsney bought Star Wars like they killed The Clone Wars. EDIT: And I've gotta say. The voice acting is really bad sometimes. Sounds like they're just casually reading lines. I guess that's mainly the non-main characters anyways. EDIT 2: Haha I'm perhaps really harsh right now because I'm sick! In a bad mood! I guess it's about 10x worse when I'm in a bad mood! EDIT 3: Nope. Ignore edit 2. It IS that bad. Just watched an episode. I rewound to count. So these Stormtroopers were shooting at Chopper and another Rebel. The Stormtroopers were roughly 30 feet away. Chopper and dude weren't moving at all really. Just some head turns. No cover. They're directly in the line of fire. The Stormtroopers, multiple of them, spent 15 seconds firing at immobile, uncovered, completely open targets. They could not hit them. I don't know why anyone fears the Empire.

The LEGO Group takes civil actions against LEPIN
BrickG replied to CopMike's topic in General LEGO Discussion
This is nothing like that. And the needs of drugs is obviously more important and flat out IP stealing and stuff. Star Wnrs? How would you like it if you made a cool IP and someone changed a letter and nothing else and started making money off it? It's ridiculous. I hope Lego wins totally and completely. I mean seriously... I'd question anyone's moral fibre if they're okay with stuff like that. That's just STEALING. -
I got the frog man wrong because I hate the prequels. I got Wicket wrong because that's not Wicket. :)

The LEGO Batman Movie Set/CMF Rumors & Discussion
BrickG replied to Sir Gareth's topic in LEGO Licensed
I got some Batman Minifigures. They were REALLY HARD to feel for the right ones. Harder than the other minifigure series. Maybe it's because there's so many bat cowls. Eventually I gave up. Bought about 15. 1/3rd of them were doubles. I loved the experience until i started getting doubles. I really hate the gambling aspect XD. I should just wait until I can buy each whole series before it retires as a set, for a bit more than it would cost if I felt each bag perfectly, but a lot less than if I just gamble. I have so many Rock Star Batmans... -
Suicide Squad isn't that bad if you don't go in expecting anything. I heard all the stuff about it being terrible so I went in expecting terrible (rented). When you expect terrible you usually do okay. I can say I enjoyed the film for what it was, which was a "meh" film.

Not interested in those builds. I'll need to get some of those minifigures though.

Gawd I'm still so torn. I have my Lego in like 6 boxes now. That's only my Lego in the UK. If I have to ship it to the US that'll be like $700+. If I have to ship it back that'll be that again. If I ship my US collection (about the same size, maybe bigger) that's another $700. There's a few sets I want to keep no matter what. But most of it I am not as attached to. Still, if I could find good, cheap storage I could keep it easier. It's just such a bother. Actually, owning ANYTHING that can't fit inside some suitcases seems to be a massive bother for immigrants with wavering and uncertain living conditions :P. Been like this for 3 years now. If my visa goes through it'll be another at least 5 years of uncertainty. Especially with Brexit and stuff potentially, eventually, affecting my status in the UK! Them Americans stealing jobs! Gotta build a wall to keep the likes of me out ;). Still so torn. I feel like the smart thing to do is to get rid of it or somehow find a place to put it. Storage costs in London are insanely expensive. It's a lot of boxes to ask any friend to take for ? amount of time. XD I'd keep it 100% if I had a place for it. Like a garage. I left all my US stuff in my parent's house. That's not much of an option here!

Ideas for new Lego themes! (Non-licensed)
BrickG replied to The lego fan's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Lego for Lego So you get a set that comes with your standard city-like Lego. But within that set comes even tinier Lego. Really tiny Lego. The set comes with tweezers and a microscope so you can effectively build with the tiny Lego. So you've got your normal Lego minifigures building their own minifigure scale Lego... and if we go deeper we can have microscopic Lego that the said tiny Lego plays and builds with. -
Haha I thought this was going to be about Bruce Banner. I want a Bruce Banner minifigure ;).

I compiled a list of minifigures I am missing since last year (darned move!) and they're so random I have no idea how it happened. I traditionally keep the themes together so it's weird how I'm missing like 1 or 2 of each theme. Most are minor but that War Machine is still killing me! Maybe Roomba did worse than I thought. That little jerk likes messing up anything accidentally left on the floor. Maybe he ate up War Machine after bumping him off the shelf! I know Roomba had taken a few Lego pieces from me. Though nothing worth digging in his bowels for...

The LEGO Batman Movie Set/CMF Rumors & Discussion

Why is there no "normal" Scarecrow or Twoface? :( I guess they'd both to be easy to give proper bodies to in a custom fashion. -
We will always wonder what the story would have been like had Carrie Fisher not died. Seeing how they don't seem to plan to use CGI (good IMO just because it looks terrible) we are going to get a potentially significantly different story where we might not see Luke and Leia ever reunite (assuming it's not in VIII). I'm honestly not sure how they could NOT kill her off and make it not seem forced. I hope the do eventually reveal what the idea would have been. I'm sure they have a good outline at the very least for Episode IX if they don't have it mostly scripted already :P.

This thingy (couldn't find out how to double quote so I copy pasted): So i'm not sure if this counts as updating or just a purist mod. I used the Clone commando battle pack kama to give Darth Vader his skirt. I personally think it adds a lot to the already amazing figure.

Assuming Dimensions has more years ahead of it I wouldn't doubt it would go to the Switch later.

Well, not all of it. I'm facing another country move. I came from the US. I moved to the UK. I'm going back to the US next month. I'm applying for another UK visa which may be accepted or denied which could mean I'll make my way back to the UK. So I decided to organize my Lego before I'd go back to the US with plans to put it in storage to later be shipped to me if my new UK visa is denied or to just take out if I move back here. In doing so I was overwhelmed with TRUTH! ;) The truth is, I never have time to do anything with this stuff and I spend too much money on it. It seems wasteful. I used to at least go through my Lego and attempt to build something a few times a year. But my life has just not allowed that for about 3 years now. And I don't see enough openings in the future to allow for this hobby. I still have grand ideas of something new to build but I just never actually get to doing it. Other stuff in my life just takes priority like hanging with friends, lazing (gotta have my lazy time gaming or watching TV), girlfriend, attending to my new business, etc. It just seems hugely wasteful in money and it's quite a bother to move around every time I move, which is every year even if I stay in the same country (which I don't always!). So I'm seriously considering selling it all, probably in bulk because I only have less than a month more here. MINUS the minifigures. I'm keeping those even if I didn't technically look at my collection for a year since I moved from my last place here in London (they were still in boxes!). As useless as they are I can't really get rid of these. I might still collect them too and just bricklink good ones. And I kind of want to keep the most impressive display sets like the X-Wing, AT-ST, Slave I, Simpsons House, etc. But 90% of my Lego I'm really considering getting rid of... I'm just concerned that I'll regret it later. I might regard it as my "dark ages 2.0" later in my life and weep as I think about all the thousands of dollars of Lego I gave up for barely anything at all. And part of me was wanting to give it to my future kids if I ever have any! But honestly, I just can't imagine me having enough free time in the foreseeable future to even do anything with my collection once a year. It'll just sit there. And I don't like how that feels. So I'm struggling! I feel like I should sell it. It doesn't feel compatible with my life atm or in the foreseeable future. But part of me is hesitant. :(

It would make you really dumb too. It would be a lot harder to steal the whole book rather than the exclusive minifigure. Or stealing a whole giant set instead of using cash to buy it, taking the figures, closing it back up, then returning it. Haha I don't mean to defend scum thieves. I just found your comment funny. There is no honor among thieves!

I'll Bricklink a She-Hulk and don't need anything else.

I love Nintendo and will buy a Switch but I don't see anything amazing about the system. I don't actually care that it's KIND OF portable. In fact I think that's the worst thing about it because it's only KIND OF. It's too big to truly be portable. It's battery sucks too much to truly be portable. It's performance like halves when in portable mode. I like how it's region free. The 32gig memory is a problem but you can always buy a 256gig one. So it's not that much of a problem. I want to buy all my games digitally these days. The launch title is Zelda. Nothing else matters. It's probably the worst launch in a long time. No Smash Bros. No big hit until Mario Odyssey which looks great, but isn't until later in the year. Nintendo consoles are the only consoles I buy though. Even if I do play 1 game a year on them. I PC game mostly because almost all the games on the Xbox and Playstation end up there anyways.

That Vader Skirt is GREAT. I want to steal that idea. :) I've got a bag full of old rebel pilots. I've got the new style with the awesome new helmets with the visor. THIS is how Lego gets you. I feel like my army of old ones are now too old. I need to update their faces to not have the orange thing. And I need to update their helmets to be the modern ones. But I guess I'll have to wait until enough old style X-Wing helmets (all the wings really) are available. And then I'm sure I'll have to do it again when they update again!

I hope we get a Princess Bubblegum and Ice King some day. The Adventure Time Lego Dimension stuff is my favorite. :)

These prices are killing me. Why is the A-Wing 45 pounds? The one just a couple years back was 25 pounds and you basically got the same thing. I know Brexit and stuff happened. As a US guy living in the UK I felt it in my bank account here. But even that doesn't explain the HUGE almost 200% increase..

Review: 76060 Doctor Strange's Sanctum Sanctorum
BrickG replied to kaelthas's topic in LEGO Licensed
Got this for Christmas. Honestly, I'm not impressed by it. The only minifigure I care about is Doctor Strange. I'm not a huge fan of the "spell casting" accessories though. They just don't work for me with the transparent stuff. I'd rather have a shaped thing like the lightning bolts or something molded in a spell casty style. The set is not interesting to me. If this thing came with a lot of those BOOK pieces I think I'd suddenly love it heh. But it didn't. I'd rate this like 2/5 stars myself. Nice pics here though! -
Rogue One Spoilers: I thought... it was an okay movie. Nothing great. I don't see how people could like it that much. It felt like (exaggeration warning) the Transformers of Star Wars. Lots of amazing visuals. Very little anywhere else. First off the characters. They just didn't have nearly enough identifiable character and weren't developed nearly enough. By the end of the movie everyone died and I literally didn't care. One of the big signs was I didn't remember what most of the character names were. We had the Han Solo-like guy who didn't have the charisma and was just sad and depresing. He was a darker, broodier, more boring Han Solo. We had the hero girl Jyn who had about as much emotion as an prune. She was one of the more developed but I question if she had any actual character. We saw what happened to her, what shaped her to a limited extent. However we didn't see her express herself in any significant way. She didn't want to go to Toshi Station for power converters. She didn't bicker with a princess in a flirty manner. She had NO character. She was stale. The biggest character she had was that she cared about her dad which still felt stale. K-2SO was probably my favorite character. And he wasn't important at all. Just comic relief that does the same variation of jokes we've all heard before. Saw-man was just a crazy, broken guy who had like 10 lines. Then he wanted to stop running... from the GIANT EXPLOSION. Come on man. The ship is right over there. What? Why are we leaving you here? GIANT, SLOW MOTION EXPLOSION over there! We have plenty of time! Come on! You could have helped confirm the hologram that nobody believed Jyn about! Ip Man was a decent guy. Blind Monk. A bit overdone but still slightly cool I guess. The mysteriousness that surrounded him was pretty cool but then he just died. He didn't do much. I don't remember him doing anything I guess. He fought. Yeah. He liked the asian dude I have no idea the name of. Asian dude character. Idunno... I don't remember anything about him. Really useless? He was friends with Ip Man. Pilot dude. He was a pilot. He did some things. He joined "good" guys who are all dark and depressing and have no redeming qualities when it comes to making them interesting. I'm sure there were more characters. Imperial Man. The Darth Vader scene was cool but his role was minor and regulated to cool parts. I want to see more of his story. Then when Roger Rabbit popped up I was kind of surprised. It looked ridiculous. I don't know why they're putting Roger Rabbit into these movies. He looked slightly different. Kind of like that dead guy from the original trilogy who played Tarkin. Oh god, why am I watching cartoons? I want to watch Star Wars! I really wish cartoon Leia at the end was just a silhouette. It was so terrible. The movie was a bit emotional. Despite the fact that the characters weren't developed and they were boring and I didn't care about them I still found myself experiencing a bit of emotion. I really wish the movie had about HALF the characters. I would have loved to have seen more of the father. He was just a plot device. More character development in general. I would have loved to have seen Vader himself handle finding the Rebels more rather than being a "he's cool lets show him for a few seconds from time to time doing cool things" cameo tool. More character from basically ALL the characters. More emotion would have been appreciated. Just look at Finn and Rey. Rey is almost OVER THE TOP with her expressions. Finn is highly expressive too. Poe has CRAZY amounts of character from just his first scene in the opening! None of the Rogue One characters have HALF the interesting character as any of the characters in Episode VII. Maybe K-2SO is an exception. Even BB8 had more character than everyone here! I won't complain about the TONE. Star War should keep doing experiments and seeing what it could do without feeling super restricted by the Star Wars feel and tone of all of the rest of them. I just think that you could have a movie like this with a much darker, more depressing tone WITHOUT making the characters incredibly TONELESS and plain and dark and depressing. If anything, if we could fall in love with any of these characters and then watch them die it would be more impactful. If Luke, Hand and Leia all died to destroy the first Death Star you all would know you'd care about 10x as much as any of these boring people in Rogue One who were almost DESIGNED to die horribly. I'd rate this movie as a pretty average movie. I have higher expectations for Star Wars movies than average which means I'm going to be more harsh against it honestly. Episode VII, despite the rehashed plot, was just a superior movie. Rogue one feels like Michael Bay got his fingers in there somewhere. It's like a bad Saving Private Ryan. P.S. Why are AT-ATs (I know they're not exactly AT-ATs) being destroyed so easily? heh. Forgot to mention that. Why didn't the Rebels in the Battle of Hoth just fire a few X-Wing torpedos at the AT-AT's legs and call it a day?

I want a Groot minifigure. Normal sized. For most of the movies he's tall but not at the scale as in the older set. I'm guessing they did that so Rocket could be on his shoulder. Still, I just want a normal Groot minifigure.
