  1. Lego.com US has already sold out of most of the sets... a few straggler dumb sets still around but geeze, they sold a lot today from the looks of it.
  2. Haha I'm making it sound worse than it was. It's still an impressive set. It just doesn't match Lego's quality. I just have a talent of making everything sound terrible. :)
  3. See, long ago I signed up for an account here and was too lazy to pick an avatar and to this day I'm too lazy to pick an avatar. This could be caused by my general sense of not caring. :)
  4. I think I'm just retiring from Super Hero sets at this point. All the builds suck. I'll bricklink the lovely minifigures though. Well, at least the main characters. The Flash, Aqua Man, Wonder Woman and Cyborg I'll get individually. It's a shame about the sets though. I mean, I guess they're not TERRIBLE or anything, they're just not interesting to me. ANOTHER Batmobile and some random stuff I just don't care about. If the movie is amazing maybe that'll change though, but considering DC's movies so far I don't expect that.
  5. Oh I have to mention this about the Enterprise build... a glaring... error lol which probably wouldn't happen with Lego. On the nameplate it says it's "Starship class". While I guess that's technically correct... kind of... I mean it's a class of vessel that is a Starship... I guess I could call a boat a "Boat Class"... I think they meant to put it's actual class name... Constituation-class. But... for some reason didn't. I have no idea why such a glaring thing made it all the way to the production line. But I'm a stickler for canon.
  6. Lego is the best. Hands down. But there's been at least one or two times that I've been impressed by something like Mega Blocks (don't burn me!). I bought several Mega Bloks Star Trek sets for my mom who loves Star Trek. Star Trek will likely never make it to Lego unless the franchise gets somewhere where the merchandise sells really well again (like in the 90s). And as long as Mega Bloks or another brick building company has the license we can't get get one through Ideas. Anyways I bought this for my Mom: And I was actually kind of impressed. It's a BIG build. The only thing I didn't like about the look was they didn't even try to smooth out the saucer section (it's a smooth build aside from that top section...). But it's still neat. Also none of those graphics are STICKERS. I freakin' hate stickers. I really wish Lego would ditch stickers... But as it's Mega Bloks it had a variety of different issues. The part quality sucks and some pieces just barely fit together or don't really. How much we had to struggle to get the top bridge section on the saucer section without pieces just POPPING OFF... and we never got it quite right and some of the plates are a bit off. The more plates you stack the more skewed they seem to become, therefore leading to popping off! It's just kind of poor quality, but getting so many pieces for the price and I'm not surprised. As for the figures, they're kind of crap too haha. Cheap plastic. One's foot is deformed as the mold messed up. The printing is not near the quality of Lego... But still, I found myself impressed by the model. The sheer size of it and accuracy is pretty spot on. I've also been SUPER tempted to buy the Ninja Turtle Mega Bloks sets just because I'm a sucker for the Ninja Turtles. Luckily Lego did get that franchise for a year, so my needs were filled. :) I guess while I find myself disliking the quality of these sets which are obviously poorly made, I find myself a sucker to certain franchises I really wish Lego would explore. Star Trek mainly right now. I also went for some of the old Doctor Who stuff from that company I forget the name of (really wish Lego would do more with Doctor Who...). But I think the Enterprise here is the first build I'm impressed without outside of Lego.
  7. Hmmmm... Think I'll just get Thor, Bruce Banner, and possibly Hela and Hulk separately. Those sets are really ugly.
  8. How does the highwayman have so many votes? He's soooo boring. How does FalloutBoy have only MY vote? I can understand that people might not like The Simpsons but only ONE? Well, I'll just sit here thinking about how right my opinions are and how wrong everyone else's opinions are.
  9. I've not ordered from them too commonly buuuut it just varies pretty wildly. Also it matters where you buy the stuff of course (I always try to buy only from my country of residence to make it quicker, cheaper and safer). I've had orders come in days and some orders take several weeks. I never go in there with the expectation for fast ordering because there's so many different stories and individuals and it's not Amazon. I'd probably give each order a full... maybe six weeks before I started wondering where it was. I try to be really patient with my orders there and though it just about never takes THAT long (I think the longest was like 3 weeks) I've never had an issue with them that wasn't corrected by the store person later (I got the wrong colors a few times but some of the Lego colors are SO close I'm okay with it as long as they correct it!).
  10. I like it!
  11. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. After this I probably won't get another Switch game until the new Mario.
  12. The Star Wars license with Lego is now more expensive for Lego. There was some sort of renegotiation at some point. So a straight up inflation adjustment wouldn't work. It would have to be higher. I have no idea what the details were but Star Wars sets did go up noticeably when they did that. I'd say... just guessing... that $700-750 would be closer after inflation and the higher cost of the license. If it's closer to 750 it might be hard to do a proper interior.
  13. Geeze I have to have it. I have to have it...
  14. Take out a loan if you can't afford it. This is the kind of deal you'll regret not taking. ;) I remember the first one. I was too poor and a student to be able to buy it from Costco where it was. Wanted it so bad... should have just spent my book money on it. I never read the books in college anyways lol.
  15. This is just a problem with China where a lot of the business culture has absolutely no qualms with flat out stealing because it's rarely enforced... Now seeing them steal Star Wars and Lego stuff, big things, I knew was wrong but realistically the big companies can easily weather it. I wish them luck in their lawsuits. But then they just steal from the little guys too. There's no limit... This is something you can take up with your respective representatives via calls and letters. Every little bit helps to put pressure on China to join most of the rest of the world in actually respecting copyright and patent laws and enforcing them (Russia has an issue with this too...).
  16. This character can explain why people don't like the prequels and why Lego is less motivated to make all the prequel characters into minifigures. ;)
  17. I wish their sales would make sense financially and go at least to Amazon levels and completely free shipping :P. I'll probably skip out on the sales this year, especially with the lack of a unique minifigure.
  18. Good choice. Slave I is one of the best UCS sets out of all of them. The MF set is still technically a rumor too... hopefully it's true though.
  19. I think the only Jango Slave I I'd be interested in would be one like the current UCS one, just a recolor basically. Idunno, I can't personally revisit the ship after that amazing set, one of the best Star Wars sets ever! A Jango Slave I has a lot to compete against. As much as people like Jango, Boba will always be first (well, adult non-annoying version).
  20. Hmmm the thing going for this is... maybe it's easy to modify. The extra height of the cockpit is an extension. I don't know how it all interacts with the hyperdrive, however there might be a chance you can easily modify it so that the cockpit doesn't suck but it still fits into the hyperdrive.
  21. Well if they're expecting it to be 2030 before they can do this properly they're probably pretty far off in either build quality or cost effectiveness, and most likely both right now. I hope they do well though. This is a very important thing in my eyes.
  22. Hmmmm the Dimensions Raven is going to have stupid big eyes. Guess I can't really complete my Teen Titans team... I want a normal faced Raven. We have everyone from Teen Titans the TV show but her :(. Teen Titans Go sucks lol. Well, it's not a show for all ages anyways.
  23. The Sith are gone. Neither Ben or Snoke are technically Sith. They've not been given a name yet, whatever their order is. The Jedi are almost gone. I'd be surprised if Disney was big enough to kill off both groups entirely. It doesn't strike me as something they'd be willing to do. The terms Jedi and Sith are basically synonymous with Star Wars and they've got a lot of power (selling power!). If there were truly no more Jedi and Rey became something else I'd... just doubt Disney would essentially kill off the Jedi entirely unless they're that confident that the... whatever is next, lets call them... Blorps... will become a new, popular replacement. There's a lot of power in a name... And essentially giving balance to the force would like, limit future story potential lol. But it's been where Star Wars has been headed and it's hard to take that away from the Skywalkers.
  24. That A-Wing looks... almost toooo much the same haha. But I'd still buy one probably. I hope we get a new version of the Y-Wing too! Or B-Wing... maybe they're saving them for the last one, Star Wars: Balance of the Force (my title guess! check in 2 years if I'm right ;) ).
  25. These are really hit and miss. I like about half of them! The latest, Logan, was great... but it wasn't a Super Hero movie and that kind of mellowed it out for me. I kind of want Super Hero movies when going to see a Super Hero movie.
