  1. Perhaps something more limited might turn up, a single zombie with a grimy Crusader torso in some new Crusader/Kingdoms-esque rampant-lion theme, so kids can pretend it's an older version of the heraldry but AFOLs would enjoy the homage to the '80s. Or, it could just be a one-off randomly inserted into a set, sorta like the Aquaraiders II-helmeted skeleton in the Atlantis theme.
  2. After Heroica, I had hoped the next Castle theme would go that way since it was a pretty generic (tho awesome) Kingdoms theme while Heroica was around... sorta "Fantasy Era 2.0". Gobins, Golems, Zombies, Werewolves, Vampires, a Dark Druid... then there's nobility and heroic Knights, Thieves, Wizards, Sages, Druids, Barbarians, and Rangers. I've seen folks make custom versions of many of those 'classes', but official versions would be awesome... with the color-coding, they could easily fit into a Ninjago-like Castle theme (with structures & siege weapons rather than crazy vehicles, perhaps). Red wizard, black thief, blue ranger, yellow barbarian, white sage, dark-tan druid, gold king, silver knight, dark blue prince... even if just as inspiration for a hero-based fantasy theme, KKII done right (and not so "jelly bean" in execution, especially with the grunts), it could probably be a lot of fun. But that'd put too much emphasis on the heroes, perhaps, and I'd love something with more civilians... and elves. And dwarves. And goblins/trolls/orcs. And golems, like in Nuju Metru's Dragon Lands theme.
  3. We got a snake-skull helmet in the latest Ninjago wave... maybe a Berserker could have a bear-skin helmet similar to that or the CMF "mascot" headgear (Piggy Guy, Chicken Guy), and then a fuzzy cape ala the CMF Hun? Plus some small throwing axes with more stylized axe-heads than the typical firefighter axe but not as tiny as the tomahawk (I love BrickForge's hatchets and use them with my dwarves... something like that, but with a curved axe head like the BW Viking Axe would be excellent). Vikings vs Romans could be fun, but maybe not so historical. Vikings vs English castles/soldiers? A long house and/or palisade for the one side, a stone castle for the other? Elves & Forestmen would also be excellent to see... anything to get some yellow-eared elf hairpieces.
  4. I'd rather see other mythical creatures like Frost Giants or something...or just two opposing Viking factions. New helmets of course, with no horns, and maybe a new Viking axe mold (similar to the BrickWarriors one), boats, a long house, other buildings.
  5. This was already addressed this morning, on this very page:
  6. I agree that they can pick & choose, but I highly doubt they'll go "R-22 Spearhead" when the average fan is immediately gonna say "A-wing". Even the concept art labels it "A-wing" in the box in the corner (next to some stuff that's a little tougher to make out in the pic I downloaded... "AvA"? And then in parentheses "Spirit of A"). If we don't hear from the crew in the meantime, we'll likely learn more at Celebration next month since those Rebel ships are all slated for episode 201, the season premiere.
  7. They would not call it an R-22 Spearhead--that's in the "Legends" tab of the wiki entry, not in the "Canon" tab. But otherwise, yes, they can introduce A-wings and B-wings whenever they wish...
  8. Yeah, next year I expect we'll get Sato and some of Phoenix Squadron pilots in a few sets... a McQuarrie A-wing maybe... the Blockade Runner-ish cruiser they've got (that was also in TCW, I think?). In the show I expect we'll see the Wookiee Gunship again, if only as a repainted ship used by others.
  9. I bought a set last month... got an extra Bob the Foreman head, two semi-unique heads from the Fairground Mixer, 3 spiky brown "Sleepyhead" hairpieces, 3 Evil Dwarf torsos, and some dark brown legs. Plus a Viking shield and two microphones for a pair of CMF Sax Players. Worth the price just for the hairpieces alone, when I checked BL after I got home! ...and 3 more torsos to add to my Evil Dwarf army...muahahahahaha!
  10. "The Dark Times" or "Rise of the Empire" are both appropriate terms for the era between ROTS & ANH.
  11. Just buy the 75046 Coruscant Police Gunship set and customize your own figures (and replace the Republic-emblem stickers with Imperial-emblem stickers) They basically, from what I understand, used the same CG vehicle model in the show for the Imp Gunship, and 75046 was released only a year ago. It's still on shelves in many (most?) TRUs and Lego Stores. Would it sell better than that one with armored Tarkin, Rebels-style stormies, and a pilot? Maybe. But I'd probably go for the Clone Wars version if I wanted the ship, since it's also got nice Shocktroopers (to replace my 2005 versions) and a spare Ahsoka & Anakin. I'd just BL Tarkin's head to replace my Death Star version (with new hair, too, of course).
  12. I've got a few of those, but they cover so much of the face print because nose/eye-guard goes down so far, and they don't really work with beards for the same reason (besides the Fusebot/Prospector/Swamp-Crook beard, anyway). That does remind me, tho, that I haven't made a Viking/Rohirrim-type with that helmet and one of those beards yet...oooo.....
  13. I've got several of the reddish brown dwarf helms, and some of the light bleys... they just aren't the same, at least for dwarves But in dark brown? That'd be exciting! I'm tempted to get the plain dark brown Gimli helms BL, too. I'd also like a nice nasal helm for more accurate Vikings and just general medieval goodness... the flared 'coif' or whatever it's supposed to be on the standard Castle helm isn't quite perfect (tho it's also pretty nice for dwarves, as you can get a decent fit over many of the beards). I like your idea for a CMF Ocean King-as-Forest Lord recolor!
  14. I'd love a return of the Fantasy non-winged Dwarf helmet... they work fantastically well with the newer "dwarf" beards like Gimli's, Dwalin's, and Santa/Classic King's, and getting that helmet in Pearl Dark Gray like the winged helmet from the CMF Evil Dwarf would be fantastic (plus more silver & copper helms). And anything else new they might introduce, of course. I'd love an expansion of both the Evil Dwarf and CMF Elf factions, but a new Elf faction would be wonderful--light or dark--if it meant some LOTR Elf hair or even just CMF Elf hair got released in new colors with appropriately-colored ears.
  15. I've only seen guesses based on price point & piece count, rattling off the list of vehicles we know/suspect might be in the film: a new-style X-wing, a Falcon w/ rectangular radar dish, the concept-art TIE Shuttle, a 'new' TIE (so far differences aren't as obvious as between TFA X-wings and OT X-wings), Rey's speeder, perhaps one of the more complex speeder/shuttles from concept art, maybe an Imperial transport of some sort (whatever ship delivers the stormtroopers from the teaser to their destination), maybe some other character-specific ship we've yet to see. I'd have loved an Orrimaarko figure, but I'm glad we're getting Nik Sant. I'm just disappointed the other one (once the proper head is on) is kinda dull; we still haven't had a black Endor Trooper, I think (tho easy enough to make one with a spare Winston Zeddemore head), and there are several mustachioed white Endor troops, too; a nice Major Derlin-esque head, rather than the crooked-stache head from the old Hoth Rebel Battlepack, would be great to see, but there might be suitable faces via other lines by now. My biggest disappointment with the Endor Rebels, aside from Orrimaarko, is that Hasbro's doing tan hands again, which look weird with flesh-colored figures. Dark tan hands, like their helmets, look so much better! Shame they were only on a figure or two from several years ago.
  16. Glad to see this theme continue! Mayhaps they'll discover some dwarves during these Faerie Wars? That golem is something else... lots of fun. Love the figures, too, and the use of the Heroica microfig as a little summoning totem!
  17. If those craft assignments turned out to be accurate, I would hope we'd get more included... Rey's Speeder almost has to be somewhere in there, but at $26.99 it can't exactly be the primary build in the set. It's a bulky speeder bike, but for $26.99 it's far too small. The X-wing would also need some extras, even if just the usual "tech carts" we sometimes see, and some great figures, to justify an $89.99 price point.
  18. Only 8 million? So the entire Grand Army of the Republic can, like, populate New York City? And they're supposed to be spread across a galaxy fighting a war? <sigh> Silly human brains and our difficulties with realistic scale. 8 billion clones would've been far better. With trillions of sentients across the GFFA, it's still a relative drop in a bucket.
  19. At a basic level, the clones should have an unscarred version of Jango's face (and not in the standard Licensed Flesh color, either; since I have few enough clones as-is, I'm tempted to buy a bunch of Captain Panaka heads to replace them with), but depending on the character--more commonly in TCW, of course--the clones could have different scars, stubble, tattoos, and other marks as they have different life experiences (i.e. war!). Commander Wolffe shouldn't look just like Captain Rex or Fives or Commander Cody... they should be more like, say, Indiana Jones' face vs Han Solo's face. Similar, but different. I like the variety in amechanicalmind's Others... especially the Chiss knight!
  20. With such a nice look w/o the beard, I had no qualms about stealing the beard from my Classic King for use with my dwarves!
  21. I particularly like the Satyr Rogue, Recruitment Officer, Goblin Commander, and the arms/legs/torso selection for the Djiin Ambassador's uniform. Santa, Jafar, and the Sister of the Night are also really cool. Very nice stuff!
  22. They were mean enough! All of them were grimacing. But they were also generic enough that they could merely be grumpy if you maybe didn't want to have them as the bad guys... some more variety would be nice. A smiling Troll Warrior (or civilian), a snarling one baring more teeth than just the tusks, a female that isn't a weird witch (I've got a couple with the Statue of Liberty head, but she's kinda just "._.").
  23. No, what you see is a red TIE Interceptor, used by the Royal Guard in the Legends EU... it's been around for many years; Hasbro made a Titanium version of it several years ago, and the X-Wing miniatures game had one in its Imperial Aces expansion pack. As others have noted, the image containing the one-off Lego model of the crimson squint is old. No TFA sneak-peeks to be found.
  24. ...I just want the shelf of minifig-scale speeder bikes visible in a similar pic of such shelves in Lego HQ... so many neat types that Lego just hasn't put into many sets.
