It's just Hoth Han's head. Robert_88 was mistaken.

Her goggles are made from an OT-style stormtrooper faceplate, not orange, not a single piece for the lens. It's definitely Hoth Han.

Walmart, at least the one I visited over the weekend, also puts such things on the larger sets. But that's also a Walmart where I found a box of those Megabloks Halo figure "coffin" things, where you open it up and you get a Halo figure, and the entire box was full of open, empty plastic coffin-halves. Not a good store.

I remember being excited by pictures of the Neimoidian Warrior from Hasbro's 2005 ROTS figure line, thinking maybe we'd see some new soldiers... but they were just guarding a door and hardly in the film at all, and the figures themselves suffered in having two action-features, a squeezy-leg "battle-swing" of their oversized, rocket-firing 'rifle', which meant they didn't get knee joints... and they also had fairly weak cut elbow swivels. They looked fantastic, but were poor figures overall. ...and again I got excited when Lego put one in last year's Vulture Droid set. I still haven't opened mine, but they did a much nicer job than Hasbro...just wish they were in a Battle Pack! 2-4 of them in a $12 set would've been sweet. At least TCW gave us the Umbarans, who are fun little figures even if not terribly screen-accurate (helmet-wise, anyway). -

I wish they would; we've still got (just from the movies) A-wing, B-wing, Y-wing, regular TIE, TIE Bomber, technically Luke's speeder & Boba's Slave I (previously only as convention exclusives), Lambda-class shuttle, Sentinel-class landing craft, maybe a Mon Cala cruiser, Sail Barge, Sandcrawler, and/or Outrider/YT-2000 freighter... and from the PT there's still the V-wing, N-1 Naboo fighter, Queen's Royal Starship, Sith Infiltrator (another former exclusive I think?), any of Padme's other silver ships, Geonosian fighter, Tri-fighter, Droid Control Ship (could have a Nemoidian instead of a boring droid!), Venator cruiser, Acclamator cruiser, Zam Wessel's speeder, Anakin's speeder, AT-TE, AT-AP, Delta-7 JSF, Eta-2 JSF, probably a few others I'm blanking on at the moment. Add in TCW & Rebels and there are even more possibilities! Not all are great, in terms of 'chibi' craft or even minifig options (I'm bored to tears of Battle Droids with little to no paint, I'd rather have various troops, pilots, officers, etc and even maybe some named characters with some more specific vehicles). And the EU possibilities are incredibly juicy, but I'm not sure they'd be allowed to tackle those anymore--tho it seems a shame to not get an Ebon Hawk with HK-47, a Hound's Tooth with a new Bossk, a Sith Starfighter with KOTOR Sith Trooper, some more TOR ships with appropriate class pilots (or specific class companions!) an E-wing with an R7-printed astromech or chibi "Jek-14 Stealth Ship" with Jek-14. -
Duh. Missed that part of the message, my bad

Which old one are you talking about? 7965 held two, tho--as with the Tydirium--Chewie had to sit a little behind Han. And 10179 held four figures, I think. The new Chewie piece is a new piece, not just the old one with new printing... makes him a bit taller than pre-2014 Chewies.

That assassin droid is amazing, and the turret with the stud-launcher, and the speeder bike kinda feels like a nice variation on the one from the old Assassin Droid BP, but the parts usage doesn't really feel like something Lego could conceivably produce, y'know? Clip-bars being held vertically in clip-tiles, minifig hands being used as parts of various builds outside of minifig arms, having to separate a minifig to fit in a speeder, rubber bands as bandoliers, etc. I love that handheld scanner thing tho!

Curses! This is one of the ideas I was toying around with for the contest... I may try it anyway, as I wasn't planning on a proper 'floor' and was going with a more traditional "2 stormies, 2 RFTs" lineup (since there weren't any starfighters aboard the ship that we're aware of ). Nice work, I like the wall architecture!

Which is Your Favorite Orc Minifigure from the LotR/Hobbit?
Venkefedo replied to Deathleech's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
They're all pretty good (except for the laziness of the "Mordor Orcs" after the Orc Forge set... the ones with the Black Gate were pitiful! "Oh, lookit me, wearing an Uruk Hai helmet! That makes me different!") but I opted for the Moria Orcs. Neat green skin, creepy face like that one Moria Orc that hisses at the camera in a closeup, great armor print that would've been fantastic on a lot more Orcs of various skin tones, and both had hairpieces with ears! The various Orcs in the Hobbit sets are pretty snazzy, too, but those Moria Orcs were really nice. Uruk Hai are also great, too, but their greatness needs no poll to validate it I wish I'd snagged a few Uruk Hai Armies & Orc Forges instead of the single copies of each...- 23 replies

As someone who's animated characters where their whole mouth is basically a mustache (a very enjoyable gimmick), I like the darker line there... otherwise it might look like he had no mouth at all, if it was too light! The tan & flesh tones kinda blend together a bit there. Doesn't seem too glaring to me, just shows "Here's where mustache meets beard for Nik Sant's pie-hole. Wish they'd have given the troopers dark tan hands instead of tan, tho... dark tan, like the vest & their helmets, looks so much better on these guys (and many other minifigs... it's a great gloved look, whether the character's a fleshie, a yellow, or anything else!)
-
One is more yellow-green, but not full-on yellow... I think a better pair of colors would be trans-bright-green for her main saber, and trans-neon-green for her shoto (of course, I don't think the 3L bar is available in trans-neon-green). I tend to swap out any trans-neon-green blades for trans-bright-green on my Jedi figs, I like the richer look. That wall is crazy!

They may have called Kallus' uniform "black", but the color code for the AT-DP Driver-type Imp is definitely not "white"... Pantone 427 is light grey, so Lego's light bley would've been perfect for it, with dark bley for the chest armor & hands (but not the helmet/mask). The tank transport pilot, the darker version of the AT-DP Driver, would ideally have dark bley helmet, head, armor print, and hands with a black uniform, or an even darker grey (akin to pearl dark grey, I suppose)

I like that they put the hook on Luke's belt! The flap-up is great for the duel, since the flap-down was only after being zapped by lightning... fewer lines is better. I see the points about the minifigs in the AC set... I like the assortment independent of the other sets, I suppose, since I'm not likely to get the AT-DP (I want the drivers and Kallus' helmet, but if I wait awhile maybe they'll update the former to mostly light gray instead of white...maybe). But, yeah, Sabine should've had her helmet from the start, and they could've done a bit better on her figure & face, too (on the plus side, another nice female fleshie face for fig-barfs!). More officers, generic or not, is always nice... but it could've been better. A lot better. Maybe I'll pass on that after all... but not the Tydirium or Final Duel!
-
Very Battlefront-y! I love it!

I think the Assault Carrier looks good, and I dig the minifig assortment (well, the TIE pilots are a little dull--a new Tarkin and maybe a crewman would've been aces there--and while I love the astromech, I'd still like Lego to introduce a new element for a proper R4 'conehead' head, since that's the main Imperial astromech we saw throughout S1). My biggest problem with the summer wave is...I want it all! Well, not the Naboo Fighter really since I have the previous one, but the AC, the Tydirium, the Final Duel... 3 big sets, plus the Flash Speeder, and just before TFA sets get released? Uuuuuuugh. And there are still several sets (like the Ghost & the SD) that I wanna nab currently.

Whaaaaaat? A Battle Pack with sought-after 501st Legion clones and non-droid Separatist troops? What crazy talk is this?! Seriously, tho, I'd have bought at least a few of such a pack. I expect a lot of AFOLs would, too, and kids who loved Rex's troops as well. Plus those Umbarans make for good space fodder. Nice variation on the Geonosis Clone walker and great Umbaran foliage!

Ordered 75038 Anakin's Starfighter, 75082 TIE Advanced Prototype, and 75088 Senate Commandos for S@H's promo (thought about the B-wing before bed the night the promo started, decided to wait, saw it was gone--or "ships in 30 days", maybe?--later the next day. Ah well. Still happy to get a few sets I've been eyeing for awhile. Also received my SW minifig book, and 75090 Ezra's Speeder Bike, my first Rebels set. Built the Imp bike first--it's huge!--so I scrounged for parts and built DarthTwoShedsJackson's version of Ezra's bike (still need to swap out some parts & order a couple others, I think, since most of my stuff was put away). Could've been a much nicer set with smaller bikes overall and two Imp bikes & appropriate drivers instead, and maybe a bike for Sabine, too (gonna try that one pretty soon).

Kylo will likely be unmasked in some scenes, as to do otherwise would be to repeat Vader (and Boba Fett, for that matter) too much.

[MOC] Ezra's Speeder Bike / 614 AvA
Venkefedo replied to DarthTwoShedsJackson's topic in LEGO Star Wars
He posted a breakdown in another thread of his, hopefully it's enough to figure it out (my set should be arriving soon, so I'll be taking a crack at it!). Bonus is the breakdown for Kanan's bike, too! Not sure I've got all the elements in the right colors, but I need to try it... love me some speeder bikes.- 14 replies

Once a year, so only 2 waves have been released (Falcon, Star Destroyer, TIE Interceptor, X-wing, Turbo Tank, AAT in Wave 1, Snowspeeder, AT-AT, Vulture Droid, Republic Gunship, Spider Droid, and ARC-170 in Wave 2). I hope it sticks around for years to come, and/or switches to two waves per year, since I'd love to see other Rebel fighters ASAP, along with oddities like a mini Sandcrawler with a Jawa, and maybe even some crazy EU stuff if Lucasfilm is okay with it (who wouldn't want Kyle Katarn with a Moldy Crow or Raven's Claw? HK-47 with an Ebon Hawk? Bossk with the Hound's Tooth?) -

I think it really is just removing the cockpit... others have modified the Ghost for better accuracy and you can probably find 'em within a few pages pretty easily--at least one was very extensive! -

Yup, sure does. -
Makes a certain amount of sense, as white-suit Fett was back when he was a "super stormtrooper" concept. Then again, using clone heads for stormtroopers is a bit flawed to begin with, as is using the light flesh color for clones/Boba/Jango in the first place

No. If there were, we'd be discussing it like crazy!
