  1. Very cool! Yet another reason why I consider LEGO to be one of the greatest forms of Art.
  2. The "Golden Age of Lego". To me, its definitely not now. I don't want to sound like a purist prick, but nowadays sets are way more expensive and more of a "toy" then they used to be. My favorite theme is pirates, so definitely to me the golden age is late 80s to early 90s. Once STAR WARS was added, it all went down hill I think. Don't get me wrong, there are a lot of good Star Wars sets and MOCs out there, I'm even a fan of the movies themselves. But when TLG had the idea that they could buy other franchises, creativity went out the window. Just think of this old space commercial You'll never see something like that again (sets made into different things). Now its "here's your Iron Man car or whatever, go play with it". I'm sure I'll get a lot of hate for this comment, but this is a stance I am quite strong on, and I'm sure some people will agree with me.
  3. Yeah I used to bring my Lego into the tub as well, but yes, not like this. I would think maybe the color would wear off? But even if it did, it would just add to the effect of the shipwreck.
  4. That is a very cool scene there. The water wouldn't ruin the bricks, would it?
  5. Yes It would be great if you managed this!
  6. I do already have most of the rare parts (sails, hulls, strings, minifigs +extra). The only "rare" pieces I need is a big flag, mast piece, one cannon, and some window-type peices. It'll still cost a bundle, but definitely less than purchasing the entire set.
  7. Great story and MOC.
  8. Great work there! It definitely looks better than the original . Perhaps you could add a railing in the mid-section? I'm thinking two of these http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItemPic.asp?P=2555 with a 1x4 rod attached to them.
  9. Yes, perhaps I'll get it eventually, but for now I'm focusing on getting the pieces for the BSB. I have almost all of them, just need a bricklink order or two.
  10. The Lego I do have organized is by color, but yes, I think your idea is way better. (That black box is hell )
  11. That would be a great Idea. Perhaps we could use or ask the brothers brick for there's?
  12. I had a choice between this and Sabre Island a little while back, and I chose Sabre Island. I still regret it. This set is just amazing!
  13. A Lego room would be very very nice, but yeah, I would have to get a bigger apartment. All 50 bucks would give me is a bowl of regret.
  14. Awesome! The ships on here just get better and better!
  15. Good luck! If you manage to do so please show them, plain color backgrounds for MOCs can use improvement!
  16. Yes, it's unlikely, but not impossible! I would love to have those coins, though.
  17. Yes I definitely agree with you to keep it MISB. Thank god my mom did too . Unfortunately I don't have a whole room I can dedicate to LEGO displays, but for now the top of my dresser will do . If I sold it I'd probably just "frigit it away on food and drink and pleasure". Hopefully you get that reference
  18. Those are "brickarms" muskets
  19. Yes, I agree. Its still up on my shelf MISB.
  20. Can't wait for the Eldorado Fortress review. That's one set I'm sure we all like!
  21. Patience is a virtue. (or so I'm told)
  22. I like the slant of the plates, would be pretty cool to see that used more large scale. The soldiers look a little futuristic to me, the pirates probably dont stand much of a chance
  23. I'd definitely buy the LOTR ship, as it would add new variety to ship parts. I'm hoping above all though for a return of classic pirates and /or POTC, but it might be a little late for that.
