    Hello guys! I am going Kaliphlin as Lord Pockets but I don't have my sigfig made yet.     In this scenario, you would have to ask an employee to unlock the glass door to retrieve one product at a time. Do you think this would make your LEGO store experience better or worse?

    That isn't generification. The customer wants the Coca Cola brand, not Pespi in that example.

    I think that is only in the south. Up here in the north, if you ask for a coke when the place has a contract with Pepsi you will be asked if Pepsi products are okay with you. That's because we order cola buy the liter.

    Just a neat little story for you. I was doing my regular shift at the LEGO store when a man comes up with the 3 series 2 mixels, the green Minecraft set, and a Simpson's CMF. I ask for his VIP card, and he had one. Turns out the guy is from out west and is in the area (Midwest). I ask him who is getting the LEGO he is buying and he says he works for Mattel and is going to Montreal to meet with Mega Brands for some play testing. I tell my manager about this during downtime and he replies, "So they finally want to try to compete with us? At least they bought directly from us and not eBay or something." There always is a small chance the customer was pulling strings but I want to believe.

The ad is gone, so he either gave up after 5+ months of no offers, or he sold it. There is a running joke in the LEGO store I work at about how we are going to run a sting operation to see if an employee is trying to sell those.

    Well, the good news is that LEGO doesn't like selling to re-sellers and will ban those people from stores. Some guy is trying to sell last year's monthly builds (all 12) for $250! Really? Each monthly build has a value of $20?

    Firstly, I never considered Hoover and Aspirin to be common names for that product. Secondly, I hear people asking for Call of Duty, Halo, Grumpy Sparrows, Star Trek, wrestling LEGO sets. Then I tell them those are, Megablok, Megablok, K'nex, Kreo, and C^3. I even had a guy INSIST that that USS KItty Hawk Megablok set from their professional builder series was LEGO. That was 2 minutes of: Man: "I know LEGO made it" Me: "That is mageblok" Man: "No, it was LEGO." Me: "IT'S FROM MEGABLOK!"

    We need a place to post outrageous CL LEGO ads. Here it is. All you need to do is post the picture and ad here as well as a link to the ad. This person wants to unload last years monthly builds for $250. That's over $20 per build. I did some estimating and it should be less than $5.00 to buy the pieces via PaB online. The directions are free via brickset as well. I would understand asking ~$40 since he actually has the directions. I just don't understand how those being the actual bricks in the bag increases the price almost %1000. http://minneapolis.c...4458190119.html

    If you are storing the same shape/color brick in one container why not use packaging tape and tape that brick to the outside of the box?
