    Agreed. I have little interest in football personally, but this would be great. It would also be them doing that diversity and gender balance thing in practice. Often thought that with these tournaments, a series with a collectible in each country strip (or at least 12 of them!) would be a great thing to do.

    Assuming the list is accurate - that looks pretty much like a ‘standalone’ series. Think a second series would suffer having very few ‘big’ name characters still missing, and doubtlessly having to have variants of at least a few of the main ones. That said, I’m happy with that list, my only real disappointment is no Sam or Rizzo.

    Agree with all of that. South America is generally poorly served by Lego representation, and, other than the old printed macaw parrot, the new toucan will (I think) be the only specifically South American animal in city/system. Of course we can utilise monkeys, snakes, spiders, panthers, turtles, etc; but it seems we are long overdue a proper new macaw, sloth and llama at least (would also like to see an armadillo and an iguana happen).

    Tend to agree: whilst I get that people like different things out of CMF series, I think they should have a decent proportion of archetypes and figures we wouldn’t get elsewhere, like fantasy or historical characters. I know that costume figures are clearly popular, but have to admit they are getting a wee bit ‘meh’ for me too.

    It’s also just nice if people take simple questions at face value sometime, as we shouldn’t assume everyone has the same level of understanding or knowledge, or be on first name terms with designers ;)

    Yeah, I thought of you when I saw those legs, knew you’d have a thousand ideas how to use them. I dunno whether it is a plain black short sleeved torso, or maybe there’s a print that’s not visible due to the resolution of the image. I’m kinda okay with simpler pieces, at least occasionally, in CMFs, as I find them more verastile.
