For sure, the Loft set basically changes every series. I think that means they will be quite generic in the set we get, albeit with some key series details. Can’t wait for the set.

Would make it the first year for a while when City didn’t introduce new dog moulds, no? retrievers in 2021, bulldogs in 2020… but I agree they are probably usual suspects.

That sleigh set is fantastic. Four reindeer is such a surprise. I’m hoping they might be a new colour or print, but they look to be the same as the already-released one.

Your pirates, castle & city *aren’t* ‘gay themed’ already? I always figured that was why they were mostly male minifigures … 🤷🏽♂️

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 22. Rumors and discussion
williejm replied to Robert8's topic in Special LEGO Themes
It would be quite bizarre if we jump back up to 16 figures after just one regular series with 12, but, hey, this is Lego - who knows? -
So, I recently bit the bullet in ordering some of the new ‘Barn Owls’ from Bricklink - and kinda amazed (and delighted) to get this marvellous misprint in amongst them. It’s printed entirely on the wrong side, which kinda makes sense as the mould is vaguely symmetrical. PS - yes I know owls can turn their heads around, thanks.

Can’t believe the ‘dalmatian’ hasn’t had a makeover YET -
… Yeah I’m pretty sure a Disney series 3 would stick to the same number of figures. So here’s my wish list: 1. Christmas Mickey 2. Christmas Minnie (Pluto as accessory) 3. Goofy 4. Clarabelle Cow 5. Donald (black & white classic, to match monochrome Mickey & Minnie from series 2) 6. Daisy (black & white, as above) 7. Snow White 8. Evil Queen 9. Cruella De Vil 10. Merida 11. Rafiki 12. Tiana 13. Dr Facilier 14. Miguel (from Coco: Dante as accessory) 15. Carl (Up) 16. Russell (Up) 17. Mulan (Mushu as accessory) 18. Lilo

Antoni’s minifigure (minus hair, and devoid of bum-bag) has leaked

Nice castle, though I’d be lying if I didn’t click on this expecting to see a model of the actual Dunnottar Castle in Scotland! 😂

Brick-built Animals VS Molded Animals
williejm replied to Lego David's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I know what you mean with the elephant (and mammoth), but a creature with separate legs would mean at least two new parts for body and legs, plus the head parts. In reality the most important part to be able to pose is the head and trunk, and I think the current one works well. My only suggestion would be an alternate ‘trunk end’ part that was more dynamic as an alternative. Indeed the orca and the bison/buffalo are the ‘ones that got away’ in animal moulds, and I too want to see them show up for real. -
Chinese New Year Sets - Rumors and Discussion
williejm replied to Klaus-Dieter's topic in Special LEGO Themes
That just made me think that the 12 Chinese zodiac animals would make a great one-off CMF … we have already moulds for many of the animals, would only need a few more. -
I guess that makes some sense - but I’ve seen the same Lego shelf shrinkage in Tesco, Morrison’s, Asda and non-Argos Sainsbury’s
-
I’m guessing that these things might also be caught up in the present problems of distribution. I know they’re not essentials, but I’d say I’ve noticed a marked decrease in shelf space given to Lego in everyday retailers like supermarkets increasingly in the last few months. Some seem to have skipped entire lines or series. I guess that makes some sense given lockdown and restrictions. Argos is an interesting one, as they can have some peculiar decisions on what sets they carry, and for how long. I think maybe even Smyth’s has diminished physical shelf space for Lego, though in my experience they tend to be the most comprehensive store. These are indeed confusing times.

Nice work, as always. Really like Zeus, Clockwork monkey, Frida & Sphinx - those are the stand outs for me.
-
Good to know - reveal can’t be massively far away then.
-
Yes! This sounds like a great idea … also who doesn’t need more starfish?
-
Not seen it any any other retailers sorry.

Anyone who doesn’t know the show, might wanna watch a couple of episodes to understand what it’s about and where the appeal is. It is life affirming, empathetic, supportive, and empowering. It’s in no way just a makeover show or a gay show, and the presenters have crossed over into many other media, music videos, kids books etc.

Notable mention to Amelia Earhart ;) Agreed, minifig looks great. Wonder if those are the correct trousers though - would have expected a French Tuck for him!

Five seasons on Netflix that have been very popular, specials in Japan and Australia - i think it’s fair to say it has a decent audience and reach. Personally I’ve never seen Seinfield, though.
