  1. I now can’t remember the face - but the similarities of what we saw with that figure in the ice festival set are odd.
  2. Cute! talking of that set, some better pics of the pearlescent penguin now. I don’t know if that piece is normally dual moulded, but the images certainly seem to show a differentiation between where the two colours (what would be black and white) are. Might be they are the same but have to get injected separately as it’s a dual mould? Or there could be a subtle difference between the colours? It’s a joke about there being a duck called a teal. Sorry to raise your hopes!
  3. Can’t work out if they are large tiles, or perhaps wall panels laid perpendicular? Agree these sets look great again, think this sub theme really delivers some glorious fun builds.
  4. The Lunar New Year sets are always a riot of colours and interesting parts, and usually throw up some great torsos and hairpieces too. Every Lego City needs a China Town for sure
  5. The blue sweater torso is another of those that’s a total bargain if you find it in a BAM tower.
  6. A teal is a duck though. And the rubber ducky only comes in yellow or green so far ;)
  7. A few animals included, but nothing new. Orange fish, white small bird, and, perhaps confusingly, the penguin! No pandas…
  8. Was about to say about the aquarium fish! I do think the translucent penguin is the Friends one. as to penguins on B&P - I mean, what, didn’t everyone build a penguin army from BAM already? or was that just me … ? _ edit _ just seen some better pics : definitely the friends style penguin mould for translucent one, and looks like the ‘normal’ standard penguin
  9. Interesting inclusions in the Lunar New Year sets … hard to see the penguin(s) in any detail. An ‘ice’ penguin is very unexpected - but then so is a normal one. I’d love that to be a variant penguin print, but that seems unlikely
  10. Not sure I have seen anything clarifying this, beyond the Muppets series. To my mind, two ‘Disney’ series in a row would seem very unlikely though…
  11. ‘Most people’ in the real world does not equal ‘most people’ on this forum. Try, and hope as you might, this toothpaste ain’t going back in the tube …
  12. If only there was some way to make a pair of shoes from a set of an individual shoe … 🤔
  13. Yeah, sure. This diversity stuff, I mean who is it even for? Women? People of colour? LGBTQ+ people? People with disabilities? Like they can’t buy stuff, can they? Is it even allowed?! Maybe have a look at what you’re saying … diversity is a thing, because people *are* diverse. That’s not going away.
  14. The reality is that each novel set, seemingly strange licence, or risk taken in a new set opens Lego up to new people. That’s just a fact. I know friends who have never looked twice at a Lego set until one came along that burst into their world, such as ghostbusters, Home Alone or Adidas. ( sorry, dunno why that quote tag won’t go away) It’s the gateway set to the thigh length red leather *Kinky Boots* set Though … now that I have typed it, I’m realising a Wizard of Oz Ruby Slippers set is a genuine possibility …
  15. It’s all in my head, which is why it’s not very accurate, lol
  16. I mean, technically a bug and a beetle are different things, but yeah ;) I think we can conclude the costume figures are popular enough on their own not to *need* an accompanying animal, since they are indeed very rare.
  17. Some thing, different English speaking continent ;)
  18. Any of those female?
  19. Fair. That’s how they treat ‘birds’ (see Friends apartment, Sesame St & the Jack+ Beanstalk Bricktober 2021 sets)
  20. I mean, I’m not bothered either way as I don’t count them But investing in a new mould fir them is … interesting
  21. Very colourful sets, can see them being popular. Think the animals are a bit of a cop-out, but those new and recoloured hairpieces are great! Good to see Lego continuing the trend of more textured & diverse hair pieces.
  22. That’s not true, Janice and Rowlf don scrubs in the ‘Veterinarian’s Hospital’ sletches, for example.
  23. Look like the same Friends ones - they haven’t used new moulds for the other, more important, animals. Using the Friends hamster as a capybara is an, er, ‘interesting’ choice… 🙄
