  1. Extinction is political 🤷🏽‍♂️
  2. * cough * https://www.instagram.com/p/CT9nMtrrZcl/?utm_medium=copy_link
  3. It was just Lego making a decision not to enflame or exacerbate the situation in a way that might seem tone-deaf to what was happening *in the real world* …
  4. This is a really offensive and unacceptable post. No wonder people (defending themselves) feel the need to call this out and feel unwelcome. would be grateful if mods take this down.
  5. Also great for kids to have / see these sets with empowered real-life women
  6. Which is a donation in kind, and would stop people who hate conservation or chimpanzees calling it ‘political’
  7. Sigh. Maybe look up ‘gaslighting’ and ‘both sides-ing’? When someone’s existence, identity, and validity is being disagreed with - that *is* hateful. And, with all due respect, those who are calling you out are being VERY calm and civil, all things considered. Please don’t condescend to tell us to calm down, that’s standard dog-whistle tactics.
  8. @DBlegonerd7 - told you you had special treatment!
  9. We can assume a set using a living person already has a licensing deal, so I wouldn’t be surprised if there is a direct donation aspect from Lego to this already.
  10. Sounds so good - as well as a way to make use of the new monkey, and existing baby chimp moulds, it’s great to have a female scientist represented like this. I wonder to what extent it draws from this (expired) Ideas submission? https://ideas.lego.com/projects/5a5e589d-6ed8-4adb-a25b-56541564b7f5
  11. Yes, it’s always sad when so many miss the point.
  12. Here’s hoping we get a new chimpanzee mould (with gripping hands, and dual moulding, like the new monkey); then the ‘baby chimp’ from the CMF/BAM can be just that - a baby!
  13. Wait what? Weren’t we speculating about such a possibility?
  14. I mean, this is total BS from an evidently privileged perspective. Maybe listen to other people rather than telling them they’re fine, have all the rights, and to stop making a fuss. Being neutral? You are, I assume, familiar with the saying that ‘all it takes for evil to prosper is for good people to do nothing’? I appreciate Lego taking a stance on equality and diversity issues - it matters. And it makes a difference. And sometimes that difference involves putting your profits where your PR mouth is at.
  15. Whoa! We’re finally getting a Dumbledore figure?!
  16. Absolute state of this.
  17. It’s a dizzying set of possibilities to be sure. I also don’t think we are likely to see 3 ‘Disney’ sets in a year (out of 4) , but I’m guessing 2 from different themes might be a possibility. I’m not a gambling man, but my bet at the moment would be Series 22 Muppets And then two out of DC2 /in-house theme /Disney 3
  18. Every character cones with either a goat or sheep as accessory 🐑🤞🏽🐐 It’s a dual moulded piece - will be interesting to see what variations might come Thankfully not as bad as your jokes ;)
  19. If they are all series of 12 figures, the overall annual total is the same as getting three series of 16 (both give 48 slots a year). what this would mean though is that the ‘regular’ CMF series is more likely to reinforce itself round some of the mainstay themes - like unusual city and costume characters
  20. Zigackly. Hooves crossed 🤞🏽
  21. Seems people are really just ordering them by the hundreds when they’re available, for resale. Here’s hoping Lego makes them readily available in lots of sets and CMFs to spoil the scalpers’ fun
  22. Was just coming here to say that the sheep are available on Bricks & Pieces … but it seems they have all sold out again. Meh. 🐑🐑🐑🐑🐑
  23. Loving your work. Question - how do you do that, exactly? Oh okay, so you just want them to have the same politics as you.
