In theory a yellow version of the unicorn / horse tail might work, but they could also produce something more extravagant that would also work for Foghorn Leghorn in a Looney Toons CMF ... It may just be the angle or the pics, but it appears two different heads have leaked for Bert - one smiling and one ‘scared’. Does that seem legit? If so, surely it points to reused moulds like they did in Simpsons house and CMF?

Bum Bum? I must have watched a different cartoon ?

The Count is just ?? … who else do we reckon might make the cut? At least Big Bird, possibly Oscar? Abby? Grover?

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Future Series Rumours

Surely with the investment in new moulds for the ideas set, Muppets /Sesame Street must be a potential CMF? -
Which would then mean that some of the CMFs had two or more unique moulds - I’m intrigued how that works. In the past where moulded heads happened in Simpsons & Disney, the accessories tended to be simple, lacklustre, and existing parts. Big mould accessories only happened with series 2 of Simpsons, in characters which didn’t need any new moulds

I think the number of slots is interesting. In one way it makes total sense, so they don’t have to go into more obscure characters, which still need exclusive moulds. On the other hand, it means that the roster will be very limited and we are likely to have some disappointing omissions. Bugs, Daffy, Porky, Elmer, Sam, Sylvester, Tweety, Taz, Marvin, WileE, Roadrunner, Foghorn, Pepe & Speedy = 14. can’t see any of them not requiring at least one custom mould. Also, it’s going to be very male heavy, if not entirely male. I wonder if that would be offset somehow?

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Future Series Rumours
williejm replied to r4-g9's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I really feel that for both Muppets and Pooh characters that they have to do themproperly, which means moulded heads. I also expect Disney to want them done properly and insist on that rather than some cobbling together of existing parts. To that end I was hoe stay surprised that Disney S2 didn’t include the Pooh gang already. -

Thanks for this. Totally agree with you! And the collectible series would be a perfect way to introduce any new pieces such as a harness for an assistance dog. The wheelchair and crutches have started to address this, and I think that maybe now with the Lego Braille sets being a thing, we will see more representation soon. -
With at least 50 owls, right?

Meh. Could at least have given us a recolour/reprint on the flying owl.

Well done , again! I really love how you put these together x

I’m fine with this as a red deer ( and knowing how cavalier ‘reindeer’ is used in describing deer, ... meh). I think I’m okay with the slightly stumpy legs, but I agree it would be nice to have a moveable head. I also really wish they’d made the antlers a separate piece so you can simply swap genders or perhaps even species. But - yay. Love it. Now where’s that otter ... ?

So that it can spin around his neck ... you may have something there!

The horse tail piece used for the unicorn costumed figures might *just* pass for a tail for Foghorn. You might be right re a micro figure for Tweety, but again, that would be breaking new ground. We might see some interesting innovations in this series ... which coming after Trolls and Super Mario might not be that unlikely I’m thinking something similar to Dogpound in TMNT

If I was to try and guess 16, assuming this is a standalone set and not ‘the first series’: Bugs, Daffy, Elmer, Porky, Sylvester, Tweety, Grandma, Taz, Yosemite Sam, Wile E Coyote, Road Runner (somehow), Speedy Lola Bunny, Marvin Martian, Duck Dodgers Daffy variant, Bugs variant. I can’t see Foghorn making the cut, no idea how they will do Road Runner, but I feel it’d be weird if it’s not included, and I would very much like a Pepe le Pew... but I just dunno if he has a chance. I guess there’s also a possibility on Tiny Toons and Animaniacs making an appearance. I’m wondering how/where they might get away with using duplicate head moulds as in Simpsons & Disney

Will be interesting to see how they make up a series with this, since so few Looney Tunes characters are female, and that gender balance is more of an issue marketing nowadays than in Looney Toons’ heyday. I think that means characters like Witch Hazel, Granny etc have a good shot, and wouldn’t be surprised for a couple of less well known female ones. on the comparative size issue, worth remembering that Chip & Dale, Stitch, Aladdin’s Genie, and JacknSkellington all made it into Disney CMFs, so I really don’t see here being a barrier for Tweety or Speedy. Excited for this if true, could make for some fun sets too! Hope they don’t cut any corners with the moulded heads.

Yeah, parrots are perplexing. It seems odd that printing happens on say a small bird or a mouse, but not them. I understand the old style iconic red macaw parrots suffered from the print rubbing/wearing off. I guess that printing is complicated for oddly shaped pieces too, but I still don’t quite get it. Seems like we are also overdue for something else in the ‘tropical’ bird line, a cockatoo or toucan would be a welcome variation.

With you on this. At least in some of the animations a ‘designed’ Lego pigeon exists, and something so iconic really deserves its own mould. I’d say the same about any suggestion to eg recolour the seagull mould to be a crow or a duck! I do think the (relatively) new small bird has a lot of potential, but also needs to be more readily available. Yellow for a canary, brown for a sparrow, blue for a bluebird - hey it could even stretch to be a robin or cardinal.

100% this. Except maybe Thor. -
Beginning to think there’s a policy to avoid pigeons and sheep at Lego ?

Hey it’s a licensed theme... of course some people will be disappointed.

I’ve recently been pondering if the DA set might NOT include Gringotts. That would allow them to go all in on a few more locations in this set, and hold back Gringotts for a stand-alone set which could include the subterranean element.

Have to admit, the existence of what should be a readily available animal, frustratingly not get-able is palpable. My dog pack is incomplete again!
