    The gull showed up in BAM for a while ... though I don’t think it’s very current. There’s also a dark bley cat that is unique to BAM.

    This is the first kid (Lisa Simpson aside) we have had with a musical instrument I think. I’m all for mixing it up. Kids playing the fiddle is pretty common where I’m from, and can see why that appeals to kids. It’s also a way of getting the violin. And it doesn’t stop us getting an adult concert violinist too somewhere down the line.

    On the subject of doggy doings, it recently struck me that it’s kinda ridiculous that we have now, what, EIGHT, separate dog moulds (shepherd, husky, chihuahua, dachshund, terrier, french bulldog, bulldog & retriever) ... yet only one (contemporary) cat mould*. Surely we at least need a long haired version, if not another pose? *no, the mohawk moggy doesn’t count. nor does the ghost dog.

    I get the artistic licence, but the ladybird figure bugs me - having spots on the belly and a red head. Re the centaur torso having no defining ‘female’ traits, worth mentioning that of the five ‘female coded’ figures, only one - the Cabaret Singer - has *any* printed torso curves. Of the ‘male’ figures, only the two topless ones are not unisex.

    ... rather alarmed to see a dog poop fouling the street in set 60306. I expected more responsible dog ownership in Lego City!

    Yep... milolego_news in related news, the new city set that has surfaced (60306), featuring a bakery and a bike shop, doesn’t appear to have any dogs - but DOES have a Lego dog poop ? !

    Do we know the colour of the dolphin for sure yet? Looks different to me in different images ... I’m guessing it’s the same blue as the hammerhead shark, but some images make it look lighter or darker

    She is! I’d go with medium blue for the body but trans blue for wings, hair and lyre

    I agree, and tbh I’m surprised it hasn’t surfaced in one way or another - especially after the Disney Coco film made it much more global. on seasonal parts, noticing some nice ‘winter’ sweaters/jumpers in the new ice rink winter set. Coupled with the festive sweater in BAM, and Star Wars advent - we are getting a decent collection of Lego chunky knits for the winter holiday season!
