This is reassuring. I won’t have to beat up any kids to get some -

Pretty much agree with all of this. At the very least, if we can beak and eye print the small birds - why not the parrots?

Looks like the piggy is making a comeback in the new Ideas pirate set. Any eagle eyed viewers spot any other cheeky animals of note in there?

Oh I had missed the news of that recolour ... it’s er an interesting choice. The tan ‘gator is certainly useful, will be interesting to see how the green shark works

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Future Series Rumours

I mean, I’d be well up for an entirely X-men series... -
LEGO Collectable Minifigures Future Series Rumours

Well it was 6 figures in the Simpsons CMF that were also in the first set IIRC. Maybe they can get away with ‘alternate face prints’. I do think they will either go all out on these characters (to have a good number in the Ideas sets) *or* they will really cut back on who’s included (do we really need a Rabbit in the Winnie the Pooh set, for example?) -
LEGO Collectable Minifigures Future Series Rumours
williejm replied to r4-g9's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Given that we have two Lego Ideas projects approved that ‘require’ as yet unreleased Muppet and Disney characters ... I wonder if a convenient CMF might give us some of those? Disney series has included Pixar and the Nightmare Before Christmas figures ... so they might stretch that boundary further and include some iconic muppets. -
100% agree

If and when it does, you won’t be able to get to the BAM towers for me and @Roebuck camped out waiting for them ... ? -
It also wouldn’t be the first time we got a ‘surprise’ set or recolour - remember the tiger in the City jungle sets?

Re the turtle in CMF s20 : curious that we get that new mould when there are some upcoming new ‘underwater’ themed city sets on the way. Is it too much to hope for it to show up in the City sets too?

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Future Series Rumours
williejm replied to r4-g9's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I wonder if there are any ‘wild card’ possible one off series - one I was thinking about recently was a CMF tie in to the new Bill & Ted movie ... which could be a great way of getting historical figures, and a grim reaper, with a licensed excuse -
I really doubt that they are going to reuse ‘-ish’ moulds for the key characters ... makes more sense that they schedule this alongside the next Disney CMF series and create proper moulds they use for both
-
That turtle is just perfect. Don't think we should read too much into the goofy Friends alpaca, we’ve seen even similar things in “normal” sets tend to get remade (such as the dolphin and turtle) have any images of the City sets surfaced yet?

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 20. Rumors and discussion
williejm replied to Robert8's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Looking back at the past few ‘normal’ series, they have all followed a similar pattern ; roughly three costumed figures, about five ‘special theme figures’ (castle, pirate, fantasy, space, history) and the rest are effectively contemporary or City characters. so when it comes down to it it’s the strength of the individual figures that makes the difference series to series for people. -
Disagree on that one, that CMF is just awesome, and wouldn’t have happened other than in the CMF series
