  1. Yes. I assumed it was like that for everyone. That's an assumption that I assumed someone who didn't know would make, but it looks like almost everyone has monster figures anyway. I'm sure I'm not alone though.
  2. He said that there were only so many monsters to choose from, which to me meant he was saying that there isn't much room for scum to lie about their alter egos since there's so few monster figures. But he's wrong that the town's alter ego figures are monsters.
  3. I'm talking about the alter egos. I know town are monsters, but that doesn't mean their alter egos are monsters.
  4. And who said the town's alter egos were monsters? I don't even think there's enough monsters in all of the minifigure series for that.
  5. Let's get through this fast, I've got an appointment in three hours and I need to scam help people with some payments they made. Speaking of which, everyone that gives me their credit card information gets free tacos!
  6. I'm not sure what exactly would qualify him as badass in the OT either, he doesn't really do much other than stand around. Sure, he grappled Luke in ROTJ, but then he's knocked into the Sarlaac pit ten seconds later by a blinded Han. I don't really know what this awesome level of Boba Fett everyone expects from everything he's in.
  7. Heeeeey, what up! You all look poorly dressed. Anyone want a snazzy suit like mine? Give me all your credit card info and I can get you dozens of suits delivered to your address pronto! Act now, this is a limited offer!
  8. EDIT: Never mind. The Rebel sets sound interesting and I'm curious to see all the figures in them!
  9. I haven't played Mafia for a long time (I still have my avatar from the first one... ) but it looks like you could use some more players so I'll sign up. 1) Either Cyclops or Medusa 2) Probably everything in the 1700s (although history doesn't interest me a whole lot anyway). 3) I've played a few, the most recent being the last CMF game so it's been a few months. 4) Probably winning Police Infiltration just because it was my first game. 5) Yes, I'll be able to come on daily for the most part. I'll be sort of busy the next couple weeks but I'll still be able to keep up with everything and contribute.
  10. Guns are also banned in Australia but that doesn't stop Lego from making molds for them. Although if it did turn out to just be a printed tile then I agree that a skateboard would be better. Also, I can't really see Maggie in this series. How she is in the House set is her main appearance so I'm not sure what else they'd do with her (and she wasn't confirmed when some of the figures in the series were listed either).
  11. Are you basing it directly off of Episode 3 or are you just making it your own battle? Either way I'd definitely do a beach that leads into a forest. Get a few of the new Kashyyyk battle packs for sure and a Droid Gunship and an AT-AP. For generic wookiees, I'd suggest using the old Chewbacca minifigure (he should be pretty cheap on Bricklink considering he comes in tons of sets) and then use the new Chewbacca figure as the real Chewie.
  12. Yes, I think one of the the earlier reports of the Simpsons line said that this was not supposed to be a full-on wave of sets yet because they want to test the theme. If they sell well I bet there will be more sets. But I don't see this set selling as well as other D2C sets for some reason... although I definitely think it will be a good investment. I hope I'm wrong and I hope this set sells though.
  13. Yeah, I agree that him just being blue with no translucent parts would be fine, and I thought if Lego ever did the ghosts they'd just do that for a while, but when I saw the new Electro figure it made me think they'd do the ghosts more like that. Either way would probably work though. And who knows, even if the Yoda and Anakin ghosts don't do anything it definitely doesn't rule them out as a minifigure in the Star Wars line. I mean, look at the possible May the 4th polybag (TC-4). Although if they did ever do force ghost Anakin it would be interesting to see which actor they choose for him. Still, I'd be fine with just Obi-Wan and Yoda.
  14. I agree about doing force ghosts. I was really hoping they'd be in the Ewok Village from last year but they weren't. Now there's really no other spot for the Anakin and Yoda ghosts. But I definitely think Lego can do the ghosts now. The Electro figure from the upcoming Spiderman set I think is a nice way for Lego to do that. And since Yoda's head's rubber they could just recolor it a pale bluish color. This way, they have three new ways to put exclusive figures into sets and it won't require any new molds.
  15. The area that Smaug desolated is his desolation, so it's The "Desolation of Smaug". Calling it "Desolation By Smaug" would be like calling "Revenge of the Sith" "Revenge by the Sith". It's called "The Desolation of Smaug" because that's the dwarves' path and that's where they're headed to.
  16. I think the figures will be Luke, Obi-Wan, Han, Sandtrooper, Greedo, 2 Biths, and then the last spot will probably go to Ponda Baba. This is sounding like an even better set already!
  17. Also remember that The Tower of Orthanc, another licensed D2C set, had over 2,000 pieces but still went for $200. This set has more than Orthanc, yes, and it has new molds for the heads but I really doubt it will go for more than $250. In fact I'd say $200 is certainly a possibility and that'd be really nice to see. I really like this set. I can see why some people think it's boring, but it already looks great to me and it's as good as a Lego house can get. The minifigures are okay and I'm fine with them for the most part, but the sleepy eyes bug me and I don't really know why they did that.
  18. Ah... I missed that. So much for my post then. At least we're getting more sets I think.
  19. I think people might be freaking out a little too much over this. We don't have any solid proof that LOTR's ending. Yes, it wasn't advertised in the instructions like past years, but no other themes got advertisements for future sets, and they just about never do. I think The Hobbit was just advertised because it goes along with the game (even though they're releasing them at different times). I'm really sure we'll end up getting a third and probably final LOTR wave this summer, which I'd guess will be fairly small, and then a final Hobbit wave for TABA. Then that will probably be it. Also, the rumor list for the summer Star Wars sets is now out so maybe we could hear from LOTR soon if there will be summer sets.
  20. Cool rumor list. I think this should make fans of both trilogies in Star Wars happy now since this winter wave will be mainly PT and the summer wave will be mainly OT. Mos Eisley Cantina is incredible though, I can see a lot of potential for that especially because it's over 600 pieces. I can easily see the Dewback in that set with a new Greedo and maybe even Ponda Baba and Dr. Evazan. Something to note is that it might be possible the Star Destroyer's based off of Rebels. Oh, also, I for one was fine with TCW minifigure heads, but here's to hoping the Rebel figures have normal heads!
  21. I actually like this set. The price is great (800 pieces for $70 is a good deal) and all the minifigures are fantastic. When combined with Dol Guldur Ambush it makes it a lot more vast and it really looks nice when you set up all of the Gundabad orcs from all of the sets together. Maybe it's because I'm used to getting Star Wars sets with lots of vehicles, but I really like this set even though some people just consider it a grey wall. Nice review, too!
  22. Since this Homer has his work shirt on I think it could still fit in the house set if he's leaving in his car or something. It could really go either way though. I'm really excited to see some other characters soon, although I don't think I'll be getting the house but I'll definitely try to get a few of the collectible minifigures.
  23. Funny, my favorite's the gorilla. I don't really collect Chima anyway but I like the look of that one the best.
  24. I completely agree. It would also really suck to have Smaug die in the same movie he's first fully introduced in (and the middle movie of the trilogy at that). The Desolation of Smaug already has so much going on and we've already seen in the trailers that the dwarves will have some sort of fight with Smaug, so that will probably be the finale for DOS. There and Back Again could then probably get away with not even killing off Smaug until they're half an hour in.
  25. I think it would be weird if the theme just paused for one wave and then resumed for one final wave. The instruction book advertising There and Back Again sets and The Hobbit Video Game makes it sound like it was just sticking to advertising The Hobbit, so I think there's still a really good chance of LOTR sets in summer 2014. Plus, just because we got an add for LOTR sets in The Hobbit instruction books before doesn't mean it will always be like that. Other themes like superheroes, for example, don't have adds for the next wave at all. I'd still say there's a good chance of LOTR sets in the summer (and a lot of me thinking that is because I want to get as much out of this theme as possible before it ends).
