    I would be horrified if Jackson got hold of film rights to The Silmarillion. Tolkien is by far my favorite author, and I was greatly saddened by some of the ridiculous content in the first Hobbit movie. If Christopher Tolkien values his father's unspoiled works, he will keep them far away from Peter Jackson.

    That's exactly what i was thinking, we can't expect TLG to offer a set with the three unique troll molds, unless it's very expensive.

    When I looked up the BOGO 50% off deal for TRU on their website, it said that the deal excluded Hobbit sets. Is this the case, or am I misunderstanding the sale?

    I contacted Lego customer service online, and they told me that the long blue capes were retired. Instead, they offered to send me a cape of my choice.

    They had a couple dozen at my local TRU. I picked up two. Great figure and a great parts selection.

    I think the figure looks much better with no cape than with the short one. That being said, I gave the short cape to the new Bilbo figure from Riddles of the Ring. I think the dark blue contrasts with the red quite well.

    My local Fred Meyer also has the new Hobbit sets. I picked up Riddles for the Ring And the Mirkwood Spiders set.

    I went into my Gamestop today and the employee who helped me said that they had enough figures to cover all the preorders. I would imagine that most Gamestop locations would be the same.
