  1. Closer look at the owl battle pack: Maybe a hint at an upcoming Eeylops Owl Emporium shop extension to Diagon Alley?
  2. At least it's something original and not yet another boring licensed car or construction machine. It's clear that these sets are not targeted at AFOL's and Technic fans but at children. I would have loved this set as a kid. I used to have Contrux and I remember how much I loved building space bases and vehicles.
  3. Not to worry, there are plenty of parts they made worse in the same process. The sprue marks are now white even on transparent windows.
  4. 2TToys has high res images of the HP march sets on their site including the overview of the 14 new collectable tiles:
  5. Hi res images of the set available here: https://www.2ttoys.nl/en-fr/products/lego-42180-verkenningsrover-op-mars
  6. High res images can be seen here: https://www.2ttoys.nl/en-fr/products/lego-42181-vtol-vrachtruimteschip-lt81
  7. Look what I just found. Sorry for the image flood but the this was the only way because the images cannot be saved and opened individually otherwise.
  8. Seems that all the green parts we see on the images are actually Bright Green. Makes sense considering the Zetros also used Br. Green for liftarms and the Kawasaki Green is closer to this LEGO color shade. At least this is what the partial part list shows: https://www.lego.com/de-de/pick-and-build/pick-a-brick?query=42170&includeOutOfStock=true&perPage=200
  9. Up to you what you believe, but I'm telling you it is not. The 2L beam is br. green and same color as the bent beam next to it, so is the 1x1 round tile. Also Kawasaki green is closer to LEGO's br. green. Don't know what other proof you need.
  10. I'm sorry to disappoint you but these parts will come in Bright Green not regular Green in the Kawasaki bike. You can look up the partial part list on lego.com (if you type in 42170 in the part number field). So the only new recolor is the 6-4 beam in Br. Green. :( I don't know why the images are so dark and misleading. https://www.lego.com/de-de/pick-and-build/pick-a-brick?query=42170&includeOutOfStock=true&perPage=200
  11. Because many people buy a whole range of products if they are from the same line and would like to complete the collection. E.g. not everyone buys a whole series of mini figures, but most who collect them buy all. Ergo more sets sold. Maybe the MJ sets are a bad example, but why would TLG seriously stop releasing sets from the Helmet Collection? They were far from done with them. Or maybe jacking up the prices meant loss of sales and that's how they conclude a sub-theme is not running well any more. Kids don't care if a toy is licensed or not, the adults who buy these for them do.
  12. You know we have a separate thread on the Mars Perseverance Rover polybag too, right? Regarding the discussion why Monster Jam was discontinued, isn't it obvious since LEGO almost never continues with a sub-theme or "collection" more than 2-3 years? e.g. SW Helmet Collection, ART mosaics etc. That's one of the problems with the complany, a lack of consistency and shortsightedness to only release what's in trend at the moment. The pullbacks never needed a license before Monster Jam, but now it's yet another excuse to pump up prices and leave out the B-Model (even thogh MJ had one). Now TLG can say "don't blame us, we really wanted a B-model but our licensing partner didn't" even though the only thing that makes these vehicles look like the source model is the sticker-frenzy on them.
  13. The March sets are finally on lego.com including the incomplete part lists on B&P.
  14. And here's a bonus mod for including the two counter rotating feeding wheels as well
  15. Happy New Year! Here's my quick and dirty rubber band mod that I came up with in 10 min. Just get rid of those ugly and useless gears and connect the rotation via rubber bands like below and you'll end up having a realistic working rotary harvesting unit! Extra pieces inside the frame.
  16. No, I meant chat message. But seems it's region locked and not available for you in Poland.
  17. That wouldn't surprise me considering that this is a very complex part. Next time contact them through the chat instead of contact form because they send out the replacement part order immediately.
  18. You can embed from any site not just Flickr including imgur. Just need to post the image link "https://image.png" into the post. @PossibilityNotNow Either you have a defective moulded part (axle not aligned with outer contour) and have to contact customer service for replacement or you are building a knock-off set from China. The alignment should be perfect with an axle in between the parts no matter how you rotate them. Notice the yellow gears tooth tips are also in-line with F and G. And how it should look like inside the gearbox:
  19. Didn't know this was an active topic until now. I also bought this 1mm nylon cord (for the Liebherr crane mod) because someone wrote in the product review that it's perfect for LEGO Technic cranes, but the reality is a little different. It's somewhat flat and not round like the original LEGO cord. Therefore feels thinner and won't stay straight (probably due to the twisted delivery condition). Amazon link As @Cumulonimbus wrote I think you need to buy 1.2 to 1.5mm third party nylon cords to come closer to the strength and stiffness. Left: the one I bought, Right: LEGO Cord
  20. That's a nice fleet! I guess there is a collector for everything.
  21. This little polybag deserves it's own topic. Let's continue to show our love for the Technic polybags. May their reign never end! Set nr.: 30682 Name: NASA Mars Rover Perseverance Parts: 83 Age: 7+ Price: 3.99 Euro Release date / availability: 01.01.2024 / limited retail Number of functions: plenty (worm gear driven arm, rocker-bogie suspension, adjustable arm and drill head, rotating camera head) First review: Brickset First digital model: 30682.io
  22. Here's the digital model for the truck: 40681.io
  23. Everybody who saw the Mack Garbage truck's mechanism and knew Hamsterton's (aka MochiMaster) submission immediately recognized the source. In today's digital world it's not rocket science to do a quick google search "lego garbage truck mechanism" and the first thing that will pop up is the Ideas submission. But sadly this is the reality when it comes to multi-billion companies and the daily business practices. Whatever is not patented or under copyright can and will be copied. It happens in the automotive industry all the time so why wouldn't it be common in TLG too? Everyone who submits something to Ideas accepts a long list of terms including the sell-out of their design and blocking the IP for 3 years. It's why TLG did this theme in the first place, to have an endless supply of brainstorming material and a free world wide market analysis on what is popular and in demand and what products can reach new audiences who never heard of LEGO and trap them in this expensive, vicious hobby. That's why some MOC'ers won't even bother gambling with LEGO Ideas anymore. It's better to just reach out to one of the many Chinese alternatives who will at least respect their design, instead of turning it into a completely different thing that people voted for, like TLG does. Plus you get compensated with a fixed amount and not just % of however many copies sell.
  24. Just wait one month until the Nürnberg toy fair starts. Usually we get solid info about the summer wave there. Sadly the days are gone when TLG would allow photo and video recording.
