Sorry, but the blue pins ruin the whole look. I get that it's an entry level set, but they run under the same part and price range where we had previously models without the need for color coding. And again, I don't get why this set is not in the CaDA MASTER Series even though it's a licensed MOC design of @Bricksley. It even has the same box type as @eric trax's tractor or telehander, which btw were both motorized, but this "Make your bricks move" set isn't. So confusing and inconsistent.

Yes, it came out early 2022 and is used in 10 sets currently including the new orrery. Some sets like the Tow Truck and Mindstorms 51515 even got an inventory update with newer turntables, so the old one was definitely phased out beginning of 2022.- 5,507 replies

General Part Discussion
R0Sch replied to Polo-Freak's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Over a year after the topic has been discussed here on EB, there is finally some progress on the "new" Type 4 Large Turntable 88738. The LEGO instruction app finally lists the 3D model so the raw .dat could be extracted. Hopefully it will be added to LDraw part tracker soon by the talented people there. To me this has to receive a new part spot on Bricklink and cannot run under the old part number just as a mold variant. Not just the bevel gear part was removed, but the teeth geometry also changed (wider straight tooth root and height). And those ribs will surely reduce friction making it run easier with higher weight on top. It's probably made of a different material too, hence the added snap-on clips. Or it could be easier to assemble/disassemble from base. Still, I dislike the fact that this part cannot be run with perpendicular bevel gears any more. Fun fact: this turntable is now available in 3 different colors: dbg, white and black. So I expect we'll see more gears in different colors similar to the recently released black 16t and yellow 28t.- 5,507 replies

I think we already have an existing solution without reverting to color coding like Lego Designers. Just use one of these smileys: -

Great work! This is so funny! Reminds me of my favorite childhood Technic set: I like your cute tank as well. -

@Lego Tom How is reposting the same picture you literally uploaded 1 post before helps the questions @vanczakp asked? -

And here is what I cam up with today. A nice little snowmobile with working steering and rocker arm rear suspension (hopefully pivoting properly). Also adjustable tilt of the windscreen by the 8t gear and adjustable seat height :)) Left over pieces: only 1x 9L axle (plus 17 chain pieces, but those make for some nice baggage roll). -

Seems you are still thinking about the nice JD harvester :)) I like this mod as well: https://rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-167686/mirrorbricks/42163-ripper-attachment/#details -
Yeah, I feel you. I almost did the same as you. Until someone pointed me in the right direction. Next time search on ldraw.org first before putting too much effort in making new parts yourself. You can also find the Crane there with all the strings and electric wiring included. I also recommend you this place because usually official Studio part updates come way too late: https://www.philohome.com/studio/packs.htm

Thanks to the immense help from @Timorzelorzworz and @C3technic, I was finally able to do some digital tinkering on this stubble crane. Here's a size comparison between the extended version by 10 truss-modules (inspired by @Lego Tom) and the original crane. The difference is day and night in regards to looks. In shown position the dimensions are height 1.7m vs. 1m. and width 1.6m vs. 1.2m. I added another 24 ballast weights in the available free space in front of the original, with just a few extra frame beams and pins. You could redistribute them more towards the rear, if not balanced enough, like it's shown in the diagrams above. Just make sure to bind them together with some rubber bands to prevent the stack from separating. I might try to make a version with suspended ballast (detached from the superstructure and gliding on 4 ball rollers). And here is a part list for those who wish to know what would be needed to extend the crane like this. But it should be clear that it won't be cheap. 24x weight elements would cost over 100€ directly from BaP, but only half on BL. For some reason the 5x15 girder frame is still least expensive directly from BaP for 3.43€ each, the 7x15 girder on the other hand is cheaper on BL.

That's because B&P is currently on Christmas vacation to catch up on all the orders. -

You do know that individual parts appear on B&P and you can buy them without Bricklink resellers that part out sets, right? About 3 month after the set releases you can start searching for 6475314 on lego.com. -

Unbelievable how much they can praise this "new color scheme" when it's just a rehash of the previous Mars Exploration and Mars Mission theme's white+orange look. The fact that they felt excited to work on non-licensed sets in Technic and everyone on the team wanting the chance to work on this project and being able to let creativity flow, really shows how unsatisfied the Designers must be having to build one licensed car after the other. -
EUREKA! 36:12 * 36:12 * 16:16 * 36:8 * 60:20 = 121.5:1 gear ratio and with a 3 day period results in pretty much a year (364.5 days to be precise). After many trial and errors I realized the base frame is not comprised of 2x 7x11, but instead one large 11x15 frame. This opened up the possibility of fitting another row of gears underneath the 16T ones. And with the enhanced image from yesterday it's clear that this is the way.
