Yes and I bet this F1 model cannot even be fully supported by these arms, hence the included display stand.- 5,507 replies

It's 3x6x1 and a looks like a modified 2L axle connector. Here's a quick mock-up from Studio.- 5,507 replies

Ok, good point but if it's not a Lamborghini the only alternative is a McLaren. P1 maybe? Ninjago 71811. They could have easily used the dark bluish grey version of 3167, as it would look better. A recolored dark purple specialized piece like that is clearly meant for a larger Technic set. -

I have a strong hunch that the next 1:8 scale Technic hypercar could be a Lamborghini in dark purple. Check out the general parts page why I think that is possible. -

Seems like a new modified Technic axle and pin connector perpendicular with A-Link and ball joint tip is used for the McLaren MP4/4 and what looks to me like hard plastic tires (color and shine like ABS + tool split-line in middle visible) on 30 mm wheels similar to 2695. The front and back wheel hub is simply a 15460 Steering Arm with 3 tow balls. And that's not even the most interesting thing. I see the new 2x3 liftarm with perpendicular holes from the John Deere tractor in dark purple! So I guess the 1:8 scale hypercar will be dark purple and probably a Lamborghini. Also nice comeback a 1x8 Technic brick in dark blue, last time seen in 2009 in the Grand Carousel and only been available in an Agents set before that.- 5,507 replies

Seems so, because the instruction book was updated on January 14th. https://www.lego.com/cdn/product-assets/product.bi.core.pdf/6519724.pdf The only question is how to tell apart which production batch has the corrected parts when we pick the set in the stores or buy online. The part numbers were not updated and kept the same which is unfortunate. Wonder if they scrapped all the incorrect tiles.

2024 Technic Sets Discussion
R0Sch replied to Ngoc Nguyen's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Maybe it will not be a Technic ISS but a Lunar (aka Lunar Gateway) or a Mars Space Station judging by the design freedom the designers had with the vehicles. -
It's cheeper this way. They did the same thing with 42171. And nobody expected a cigarette company to be sponsored on a LEGO set livery. But then why even choose this car in the first place? They should have stayed with the classic road vehicles. This set does not fit the 1:12 scale collection at all.

Btw, I have started to make a spreadsheet of CaDA part numbers and colors, by going through the pdf instructions one-by-one, to at least have an overview of the different elements they use. Maybe you MOC'ers can find this information useful as well. Now the question would be how to make it accessible to everyone as a "living document" or better yet is anyone willing to host it / make a database? I don't have any images of the parts and including blurry screenshots from the pdf instructions is not the best idea.

@efferman So the switching between functions is still manual and 1 L-motor is used for drive, 1 "servo" for steering (still not proportional) and 1 M-motor for the superstructure and outriggers, right? Do you know if a motorized version will become available later on cada store or it's just the static version and people have to buy the motors and battery pack separately? Last time I did this, they unsealed my copy and put the parts inside the original box.

42146 - Liebherr LR13000

Pretty cool alternative model, don't you think? -
The 360° animation is available and as expected the gearing is exactly as I predicted https://www.lego.com/cdn/cs/set/assets/blt0262e384b8de7bdf/42179_360.mp4 Also, high res images are available on lego.com. I really hope the prints on the Earth hemispheres will align perfectly as advertised below, even though I consider these two part designs mediocre for something that's supposed to be a sphere.

Not a speculation. Tiago said this in his Review and he is a LAN member. So I assume it's true. Besides, the Moving Truck from last year also came back a few months later.

You're welcome! This GWP will come back some time in April again so maybe you can still get it "for free". If not rebricking it in any color you want is also no big deal.
