  1. So it has begun. I would just like to state that a somewhat perfect Lego block sqaure would be 5 plates high. So everyone who is like me: Get some 2x2 plates in all colours and 1x1 plates to add more texture. So much more to customize than the Microworlds.
  2. The gold masks will most likley be scalper items. Limited number and hard to get, as usual.
  3. Also: The top rowand bottom row consists of the 3 Toa that formed a Kaita in G1. Kaita confirmed...?
  4. Onya? Is that a typo that Onua is called Onya on the Lego page?
  5. Just going back to the exclusive Hau: I feared this would happen. Get ready for convention exclusive masks, that go for 200$ on ebay.
  6. As horrible as it is to watch: At 11:00 : The Diamond helmet is seperate from the head and the Endermen have giant one-pice-torsos.
  7. German Toys'r'us site has the Minecraft sets avaiable for preorder. http://www.toysrus.d...go_BS_Minecraft Also: More pics. Cow-Udder and Pixel-Bow confirmed I hope the link works for all of you.
  8. Wow, the sets seem reasonably priced, look interesting and all have an inetresting minfigure lineup. Yep, great wave!
  9. Just something to the actual topic of this thread: Any word from Lego about the theft? Was it a theft? Was it just a promo-guy making a picture of the figures? I saw CopMike reporting to Lego, thus the question. I'd be really interested what TLG thinks. Don't remember them ever giving any kind of statement about this rather big uproar about the figures.
  10. Sure, it's about creativity. But one thing I have to address: Hero Factory left many things open for... creativity. And I think that that is the reason we got so many open endings. So many things never again talked about. Plans of the Hero Factory stolen? Let the kids come up with, how the Heroes get it fixed. Brain-Outbreak right under the factory? Well, they maybe get rid of all of them eventually. One of the Cocoons going straight to the factory? Huff, maybe they find it in time. I mean to say, that the story they are telling should maybe be closed and done. Let have dealt with the enemy of summer and then go to the next one. There are too many things left open in Hero Factory that are never addressed ever again. Might be one point why the story felt so flat.
  11. Don't know if it has come up yet, but where is Green Lantern's ring? That on the lantern is just a stud.
  12. Man, Onua is ripped! The Akaku, Hau and the Pakari look very much like the original masks. The others are hard to make out. But no matter how they look, I'll just buy all of them in the end. Nostalgia kicked me. Pretty hard. Tahu has his lava board, he would have gotten as a Nuva, so maybe we skip them with this reboot. And the facehugger-Style villains just do it for me. Just make them like the Bohrok. Be evil to everyone, but have a greater purpose. No mean Rahi, please. And the "Defenders".. or do we already call them Matoran? I don't care about the masks being the same. The Bohrok were only different in their shields and until 2007, most of the sets were terribly similair. This is such a fresh wind. Aaaand, all those Hero Factory pieces I have collected will actually prove to be usefull. Just got Chi Cragger for olive green bone pieces and hands. This is the best thing this month for me.
  13. I also can't think of any Middle Earth-material it could be made of as an excuse. But hey: Trans-Dark Green Axe pieces, so we got that going for us. I will use that for Fantasy figures and make an enchanted axe.
  14. I don't know if this is true or not, but the SDCC Bard does not seem to be exclusive. At least that's what is written at fbtb.net . from Ace Kim's article on fbtbnet from the 25th July
  15. I'm still surprised that TLG will release this small set with an exclusive Batman and Unikitty in it. I'm really looking forward to it. And I just realized how bad I want a new Shaq-Minifigure. Shaq-Fu is coming!
  16. I feel like this whole matter is getting out of hand. Well, sometimes people want something. I'd like my own house. Some would just like this little plastic figure of a character they want to have their collection complete. I don't know why everyone wants to defend any party in this. Some say something about: 'It's just plastic. Lego is not obliged to do anything for you. Grow up. You don't need it to live.' While the others then have to counter: 'Well, but I'd just like to have it. Let me try to get it. One way or the other. I don't want to spend 400-800$ for a figure. I write a letter to the company, as I feel that this figure should be easier to obtain.' People just want things. All are greedy in some way. Some want a swimming pool. 'A huge bathtub full of water! Think about all that water you are wasting! You have to let go of some dreams!' And others want that Justice League or the Guardians in plastic. 'Little figures in plastic! Think about the oil you are wasting! You have to let go of some dreams!' Well let everyone try to get what they want! And if it is an open letter! And if it is with angry-filled messages in a forum that is known to be read by people that work at the company! I would not like to be told over and over again to forget my dream about my own house to live in. Nor would I tell anybody to just stop trying to get anything they want. When you don't like people that like something, just ... keep it for youself, I guess. What does it give you other than self-fulfillment. I hope nobody feels insulted by my post, but I just felt that the matter was going out of hand and that I may have some words to get things sorted. That's something I wanted.
  17. Lego didn't break enough lines yet, so they had to break The Lego Movie with exclusives, too. Great job. When Comic Con is over, I might have lost fun in all lines! That's the way to go!
  18. And here we GO AGAIN. Lego does not seem to give a flying fuse about anything anymore. Make the figure better than the one in the official set and put it in an OVERPRICED and BADLY BUILD set AND make it EXCLUSIVE so that only those few people in the proud United States of America can get that set for the still overpriced convention price. And thus the aftermarket explodes with this set with 120$. Yes! This is how marketing works! Sure! Seriously now, I feel cheated on. Trying to fight a useless fight and trying to collect the Super Heroes Minifigures just became irrational. I'm giving up on it. Really, after all the Star Wars minifgures that kept re-re-re-re-releasing every year with minor improvements became to much for me, the Super Heroes line follows these footsteps. I'm angry and I might be overreacting for some of you, but this is just how I feel right now.
  19. I noticed something else: The small slpes on his legs are light bley in the source image. In the set, they are dark brown. Also in the source image, the steering wheel on his left arm does not have the dark bley cylinders on it. We'll need a full shot of metalbeard to make the set accurate.
  20. This should probably stay here. Seems you don't know what this MOC is based on. It's based on the anime 'Attack on Titan' (ot. 'Shingeki no Kyojin'). The 'robot' is supposed to be a titan, looking like a human without skin. The red and white is probably supposed to be the muscular structure. Best you just look up a picture of the 'Collossal Titan' on Google. But beware, it really is now beauty, as you can imagine. (Yep, I know, some things are very hard to show with the limited forms of the pieces.)
  21. I really like how you tried to fit as much white into the Titan as possible, to show the muscle structure. I think it would be really great to see the Collossal Titan in scale to a minifig. Anybody got an idea how tall he would need to be? But that aside, the wall and the houses are fitting in quite nicely. Good job!
  22. I don't get how 2 Dol Guldur sets can be uninspired. We got 2 Orthanc sets this year, remember? The Wizard battle was part of Orthanc, even though the same room is also present in the Tower itself. I'm thrilled to see the sets and the figs that come with them!
  23. Hello everyone, I just rediscovered this old gem in my cellar. Does anyone of you also know about this? I also haven't been able to find it on Bricklink or Brickset. I got it in a small store in Germany many years ago. This is an official licensed product. I'll give more info, when someone is interested, like what all the German on the box means. : P
  24. Well, I hope they will be sold at my Lego store. Got the first Minecraft set just this year. These two look great too. I also hope the price is not as high as that of the first set. 35€ especially don't look fitting for the Nether set.
  25. So that's 2 more charcters we'll probably won't see anymore? Yep, I'm still waiting for a hint of Phoenix or Shazam... They really had the mind to pull it off again. That's how they listen to some people's demands. Thanks a bunch.
