  1. Even though I stopped colleting Star Wars, I wanted to have The Old Republic collection. And this set (that is going to be so badly overpriced) just killed my enthusiasm. Well, have fun, everyone who buys it, I will just spend my money on other Lego sets.
  2. Just a quick info: Toys'R'Us in Germany has a promotion running from today until the 7th (? I'm not sure). 9466 is reduced to 25€ and Speedorz are around 7€. and second theres is a "Buy 2, get the cheapest 50% off" on City sets only. So when you buy 2 City sets, the cheapest one is reduced 50%. Good deal, so I bought the last of he 20€-vehicles I was missing. Better phone your market and ask if they have the promotion. It definitely is running in Oberhausen.
  3. Well, there went my plans to buy anything else this year. 200€ is steep. I also will have to really think this through until the 1st July. When I have the money for it, I'll buy it as soon as possible. I don't know why, but the Ent looks.. strange. The Torso is the head. Is that really how Ents are supposed to look? It felt somewhat strange looking at it the first time. The minifigs are completly underwhelming. Orc and Uruk-Hai? Gandalf and Saruman - Two figures that will be released this year in a set for around 12€... and Wormtounge... Yeah... Not really thrilling. I would have liked at leat one more Orc with ears and Merry and Pippin. They could have done that, there is an Ent in the Set! This may be a set I will really get for the build. A huge black tower from one of the most famous movies ever? Fine! But only after a LONG time of meditation, if I really want to leave out a huge portion of my wanted-List for this Big Boy.
  4. You should also try Intertoys. There are some in Germany. They have some sets reduced and around Christmas, the sets get really cheap thanks to the 20% discount. I've also just seen BR Spielwaren. They are all around Hamburg. But sadly only there. They seem to have REALLY good prices. Weathertop for 50€ for example. If there is someone looking here, living in Hamburg or around, I would really apreciate to get in touch with me. Sadly, the BR Spielwaren have no onlineshop. The sets can only be bought in the store. I would like to work something out.
  5. Ah, sorry, meant Helm's Deep. : D The names are confusing.
  6. I hope that the prices for LotR stay how they are. I bought most of my Hobbit and LotR sets of Amazon. I remember getting the Helms Clam set for 60 Euros used and Attack of the Warg for 36. Many good discounts, even for the high German prices. Really thrilled for the Tower. Might be one of the few Exclusive sets I own and quite impressive. Seems like this wave might not hurt my wallet that bad. The Corsair ship seems like a big ripoff with 120 cash for around 700 pieces. Might try to get it used, my experienced have been quite good so far. I'll probably also wait for Elrond's Council to be a little discounted. Black Gate seems well priced, even though I probably need to build the other tower myself. That's my 2 cents so far. I'm really happy to be able to have aquired most of the waves so far.
  7. Well that's reasonable. :D Thank you! I will race for the printed piece.
  8. Ah, thanks! Is it only avaiable on the first of each month? So you search the pieces from the tub, build it and take it home, got that right? Are there any costs?
  9. I have a question about the minibuilds, since I never did one: Does anyone know if they are avaiable in Europe? How do I get them in the Lego Store? On the promotional figure: I guess I will still try to get it for its limited release. Even though it has no shiny glory!
  10. Well, I'm actually happy that they've put the Ironman from the Cosmic Cube Escape in the Polybag. I have none of the Superheroes sets and might actually get some to get the Ironman and be able to pass on the CCE set. These sets are expensive in Germany and I actually only found them in Lego stores till now. I even still need the Hulk from last year... Oh what a pain.
  11. The head look huge. It reminds me of 'Hordak' from 'He-Man and the Masters of the Universe', if anyone remebers that show. Very plain, as everybody said. Merely a partspack for me.
  12. Here's a better look at all the figs of this line. Lion knights seem to have 3 different torso printings and the dragon knights have 2. The evil mage is back, just ike in the Castle line of 2007.
  13. Some new pictures: Closeup of the bakery: http://www.spieletest.at/pics/bericht/1174/101Lego2013.JPG It actually looks good. The Flower pots in the front may be too blocky in just lime green. Olivia's Beach Buggy: http://www.spieletest.at/pics/bericht/1174/103Lego2013.JPG Nice in purple and with coconuts on the palm trees. Emma's Sports Car: http://www.spieletest.at/pics/bericht/1174/102Lego2013.JPG It looks dull, but you can see dolphins in the upper left corner. Accersories look nice.
  14. Did somebody ask for a better pic of Worriz' Combat Lair? http://www.spieletes...053Lego2013.JPG Looks like the comand-centre-part is deteachable, just like with Cragger's Command Ship. Also found a front look of Eglor's Twin Bike, that does not look like a Twin Bike. http://www.spieletest.at/pics/bericht/1174/052Lego2013.JPG
  15. They attach on the neck, like the tail of the Colletable Minifigure Dinosaur Suit Guy. At 0:40 of the video I posted, look at their necks. They are elevated and the skunk has a visible grey part there.
  16. Hello everybody! I just found this video of the new Lego game 50004 Story Mixer, revealed at the Nürnberg Toy Fair. For everyone who does not know German: He says that where the arrow points at, one of the small models has to be put. That model has to be described with 2 words. The dragon for example, can be called 'Flaming dragon'. The player also has to tell a story about that scene or being. Then its the next players turn. He puts another model at the place the arrow points at and describes it with 2 words and a story, too. But here is the twist, the second player has to incorporate the 'flaming dragon' in some way. The presenter does not specify if the player has to tell the story of the dragon again, too. When the player uses the wrong word, for example says 'red dragon' instead of 'flaming dragon' his model is put back and its the next players turn. This is all the information we get. I assume this goes on and is supposed to get harder and harder to memorize. The goal may be to be the last one standing. There seem to be many small models and many 4x4 plates. What do you think of it?
  17. Just throwing this in quickly. You can get a look at all figures that will be coming out this year, even the skunk and fox. Strangely, these two have tails, but the crocs and wolves do not. The first few figures also seem to have new armor. The shoulder armor seems to be rounded.
  18. Got some good deals today. 9469 Gandalfs Arrives for 14,99€ (overpriced - unreduced retail, here in Germany) 9579 Starter Set from Ninjago for 12,99€ 7065 Alien Mothership for only 30€ and finally 79003 An Unexpected Gathering for 62,99€, instead of 79,99€! Yep, it has been a good day.
  19. My votes: #9 tobiasgeserick: 1 point #11 Cara Lego: 1 point #16 Julius No: 1 point
  20. God, that cracked me up when I read it. I'm already imagining a brickfilm with that soundsample. When the sets arrive in Germany, I will do this. (If there was no one else before me.)
  21. Considering robots are not supposed to have a biological brain, we may be dealing with cyborgs here? I'll post some things about the sets later but in short: Like the reminiscence of the hero helmets to the Breakout wave and Furnos cape.
  22. Ourobouros was also the name of the virus in Resident Evil 5. At least that's where I remember the name from.
  23. I have been stocking up a bit. 21.7: Went to the LEGO Store in Oberhausen and got 6221 Nex, 6222 Core Hunter, 6223 Bulk, 6229 XT4, 6282 Stringer, 6283 Voltix, a second 6201 Toxic Reapa for 5€ and a second 40049 Mini Spowith Camel for free. 2.8: Went to Toys'r'us today and got 9564 Snappa and 9568 Spitta for 5,99€ each, 9558 Training Set for 15,99€, 6230 Stromer XL for 15,99€ and 6231 Speeda Demon for 23,99€. Thankfully, there was a 20% off sale.
  24. The 2007 Playsets were not on shelves here? I saw them in a Toys'r'us and Intertoys here (the later probably due to a connection to the Netherlands). But heck, they were really no bestselling item. They sat on the shelves for so long, that all of them were reduced by 50%. That's when I took my chance. :D --- Now to something completly different. I finally got all of this years sets, no exception and I come this personal ranking: Best small set: Toxic Reapa; Stringer right after him, but Reapa is just a bag of nice parts and a overall very well finished figure Best medium set: Core Hunter; Finally a color scheme that is not jumbled together and good parts Best box set: Speeda Demon; most expensive, but maybe I'm just a sucker for lime green with purple LEGO really tried to do better and they did with the villains (besides Voltix). The heroes are okay, but there is something that keeps me from praising them. I like them more than all previous incarnations and they are thus the best heroes so far, but not the best I can imagine. Maybe I'll post some pictures of my (very simple) MODs on all sets later.
  25. Done! Good luck with it!
