  1. Thanks for the fix! I didn't see Dark Azure in the color list, so I tried to update the color list from Rebrickable, which seems to have removed all of the colors... So, what's the best way to update the color list?
  2. I sent you a PM. If you can send me your email address, I'll zip up the log file directory and send it to you.
  3. I got it working for a while yesterday after un- and re-installing, and was able to successfully launch it a couple of times. Unfortunately, it's back to not working again today. The launcher program is running in task manager, but nothing else happens.
  4. Thanks for putting in the effort to use JWrapper! I downloaded the installer, which in turn downloaded the program, and it launched ok after installation. I noticed that some of my clicks started to lag after I'd been using it for a few minutes. I decided to close and reopen the program. Now when I click on the icon on my start menu I see BrickGraphicsWinLauncher.exe running, but it never launches LDDMC. Also, if I click on the Start Menu icon again, I can start multiple instances of BrickGraphicsWinLauncher.exe. Windows 8.1 64-bit, 16GB RAM
  5. You would first need to create a wanted list from your .ldr/.mpd file and upload it to Bricklink. I've never used the feature, but it looks like Brickstock might be able to help you with this. If you don't want to mix the wanted list for your model with any other lists you may have, you'll need to create a new Wanted list on Bricklink first.
  6. Edit: Accidentally replied to a really old post...
  7. I honestly have no idea. I guess one of the forum mods gave it to me, but I don't remember when or for what occasion.
  8. Right-click a viewing pane, and select the angle you want from the View Angle> menu.
  9. Depending on when the list was created, a four-digit ID could be very real. I've got a handful of lists I created years ago that are two digits.
  10. I'm not sure what you mean by "center perfectly", but hitting the 5 on the number pad should fit all of the model into the frame.
  11. You'll need to play around with your grid settings. Technic work almost always requires working in a finer grid than the default "coarse" grid. For even more control, you can set the grid units by going to the Settings menu, then selecting General > Change, then selecting the "Step, Snap, Grid" tab.
  12. I choose to not install Java as a security precaution. If there's a way to use the relevant parts in a stand-alone exe without having to do a full-blown install, I'd be very interested. (For reference, I'm running Windows 8.1 pro.)
  13. I was really looking forward to trying this, but the requirement of Java is a bit of a hang-up for me. :(
  14. MLcad (and other Ldraw editors, I think), allow you to insert STEP commands into Ldraw files, thereby controlling what parts get added to each step. MLcad has a viewer that allows you to view a model one step at a time, but to really get professional-looking instructions you usually have to use LPub. MLcad and LPub both have a fairly steep learning curve, but in my opinion the results are worth it, especially if you are planning on sharing your instructions with anyone else.
  15. Another option is to go with landscape, and just use multiple columns on the first few pages where they can fit well.
  16. I just got a 16MB parts update this morning. Unfortunately, there seems to be a problem with one or more parts, and LDD is crashing when I try to view those parts. Any time I try to expand the Door category, LDD crashes.
  17. First, make sure your floors are grouped. Second, you'll need to temporarily replace a tile at the top edge of a floor with a plate, which will allow you to connect the floor above. After you do that, you can remove the plate and put the tile back in place.
  18. You can get a parts list now. Just go to File > Export BOM.
  19. Yeah, I believe that the POV option was removed a while back, although I don't know the exact version number.
  20. Hmm. I was just able to export a file with a track link from LDD to ldr. I then duplicated the link a few times in MLcad, and imported the resulting file back into LDD with no problem.
  21. Have you updated your ldraw.xml file? (The most recent version can be found here: http://gallaghersart.com/page/new_ldd_parts_and_the_ldraw.xml/ )
  22. My first thought is that $50k seems like a huge goal for a project like this. My second is that your demo site doesn't seem to work. I've tried it in Chrome, Firefox, and IE, and haven't been able to get a successful mosaic. Also, what do you consider to be "retired" colors, and why?
  23. The closed beta ended today, so hopefully it won't be too long before this goes to open beta.
  24. I believe someone is trying to keep it going under the name Brickstock. Search the Bricklink discussion forum for more details, or check it out directly here: http://brickstock.patrickbrans.com/ .
  25. That wouldn't be worth the effort, at least for me. If I'm planning on building something physically, I'll run the LDD file through LDD Manager, and use that to help catch any non-existent part/color combinations that I might have missed.
