Best websites to buy Gobricks?
Classicsmiley replied to Plumber's topic in The Alternative Brick Forum
Make sure to check out their current coupon codes (good through August 26, 2026): https://blog.brickwith.com/welcome-to-brickwith-farm-where-premium-parts-are-born/#welcome-gift And if you need to track Gobricks part colors, they just added this set of color-palette tiles today: https://www.brickwith.com/en/part-list/share/05edvdbbcky?available=Y -

Brickwith (the current official Gobricks seller?) has just added a set of 1x4 tiles printed with the color ID for all 63 colors that they offer. If you want to keep track of Gobricks colors, this looks like a pretty good start! https://www.brickwith.com/en/part-list/share/05edvdbbcky?available=Y -
Buying Barweer: Best Method?
Classicsmiley replied to MKJoshA's topic in The Alternative Brick Forum
Jang (of Jang's LEGO Reviews on Youtube) has another channel where he covers other brick companies. He's got a couple of videos where he unboxes some orders from Barweer.com, and he talks about some of the different things to consider. He's also reviewed a couple of the Barweer-branded sets that were licensed from the original MOC designers. -

Lumibricks and Pantasy also use Gobricks. -
Digital building with non-LEGO parts
Classicsmiley replied to Classicsmiley's topic in The Alternative Brick Forum
Can you believe that Brickshelf is still up and running? Here were my examples. Here's the 1x2 with studs on both sides I managed to make in part designer. As you can see, I didn't take the time to inset the interior of the plate. For my purposes, it doesn't matter. -
I'm in the process of building the Lumibricks Cyberpunk Police HQ in Studio, so that I can have a full part inventory for MOC planning. (The set is ok, but I think the pieces have a lot more potential than how they were used.) Lumibricks has quite a few parts that LEGO doesn't have. I've been using placeholder submodules so far, but it's getting a little cumbersome. If someone else has already modeled these parts I'd love to use them; otherwise, I'm thinking about trying to make the pieces myself. It's been decades since I tried to create a piece in the LDraw format. Is that the route I should try to take, or should I try to use the piece designer in Studio? (I'd attach some samples, but my total allowed upload size is 8.12kB for some reason.)

I also wouldn't mind compiling a list of "brands that we should avoid" that are known to steal designs. -
Alternative Brands Questions
Classicsmiley replied to Wolfpack's topic in The Alternative Brick Forum
I haven't used it much, but https://www.merlinsbricks.com/ also has a set database. I have no idea how complete it is. -
Here are some things to add to the Brick Frontier Index, if you're interested. Lumibricks website: https://lumibricks.com Place to buy Gobricks (which are the bricks used by Lumibricks, Pantasy, and some other brands): https://brickwith.com

Here's what I saw, while attempting to go through the migration process for a physical club: Some clubs only had to apply once and got in to the Fan CoLab easily. Some clubs had to apply multiple times. (The largest number I heard of before a successful migration was 4 times.) Many clubs got "form letter"-style rejection letters which did not accurately address the real reason for rejection. Additional time and effort was then required to discover the real reason. At least one club applied well before the deadline, received no reply of any kind and was subsequently dropped. Some clubs were told that they were required to choose a new Ambassador if they wanted to migrate. (To my knowledge, none of them did.)

It would be really nice if there was a list we could easily search. I just found out on the Brickwith Discord today that the 2x2 hinge brick top (6134) disappeared from the Brickwith list in the last day or so. It would be nice to be able to check if parts are protected, or if maybe something else is going on. (Yes, I'm lazy and haven't read all of the case information that has been presented here so far.)

Thank you. I'm so sorry for how LEGO treated you and so many other long-standing pillars of our AFOL community.

The alt-bricks of today are much different than the clone brands that we've been familiar with for years. Are you familiar with Jang? In my opinion he's the best building-brick reviewer out there (due in no small part to being completely independent). If you've got some time, I encourage you to check out some of the videos posted here: https://www.youtube.com/@JANGsOtherBricks He also livestreams many of his builds on Twitch, so you can even see what the build process is like, if you're interested in that. It's dangerous, though. Once you realize the actual value, quality, and build experience that are out there for a fraction of the price that LEGO asks for, your worldview may never recover...

Hello mods, Would someone please remove me from the LEGO Ambassadors group? My club isn't recognized any more. Please PM me if you need more details. Thank you.

I don't check Eurobricks as often as I did in the past, but I was glad to see the poll announcement on the main page. I voted for option 2. History: I was a LEGO purist for more than 40 years of my building journey. In the last couple of years my brand loyalty has been weakening for a variety of reasons. Fast-forward to December 2024, when I saw a review by Jang of a FunWhole product. The lights really caught my attention. In April of 2025 I bought my first FunWhole set, and was really pleasantly surprised. I was talking to one of my kids the other day and realized I'm not sure if I've built any LEGO sets in 2026. Instead, my family has given me Lumibricks (I'm so glad they changed their name!) sets for my birthday, Father's Day, etc., and just recently I placed and received my first order from Brickwith.com. (Also, people in my LEGO club are now wondering if I've been replaced with an alien pod person or something...) As LEGO continues to price more and more people out of the market, I think it's very important to have a place where the brick-building hobby can be celebrated, regardless of brand. (Edit: Hmm. I need to figure out how to remove the "Ambassador" image from my profile, because we're not recognized any more either.)

Can you open the file in a text editor, and do a find/replace on the design id of the round 1x1 plate? -

Waffles and Milk
Classicsmiley replied to ExeSandbox's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Some of the pieces shown in the image as being transparent have no record of actually being produced in transparent colors, which is what lead me to believe it's a render. -
